I plan to do that eventually for most of the guns, currently I actually already do improve the base CE Ruger Redhawk to be in-line with the rest of my stuff. Next update should be the base Mossberg 500, the M16A4, and the UMP since they're the easiest right now.

Beyond that I'm not really sure when I can get to the other guns. There's a few more guns in the CE submods that I plan to replace as well.

Hi, I know this is technically a weapon(s) suggestion but what are your thoughts on creating more guns specifically to replace the CE guns that weren't affected by the duplicate override?

What I mean basically is the guns that weren't replaced, don't fit the same level of quality as your mods, so it would be really cool if you could expand upon this mod, your other mods (although I doubt this is necessary), or even create an entirely new mod, to replace the CE guns with your own so that it override them and fit perfectly with the rest of your designs.

@LungeVilkas - Combat Extended adds tribal bombers and gunners, and in late-game they become much more common. Tribal gunners use guns that have the SimpleGun tag, which includes most shotguns, bolt-action rifles, and pistols. Since this mod adds a lot of those kinds of guns, most of the time they'll show up with one of my guns.

Almost every single tribal comes loaded with one of your guns, or stick bombs. Would that be something caused by tags in this mod or something elsewhere?

Scopes in CE always have sight efficiencies of 200%+, so that combined with semi-automatic fire and low recoil just makes them very accurate for most pawns. The downside is that scoped weapons perform slightly worse in close-range combat due to their longer aiming time.

hello, just wanted to ask:
got a AUG A3 SA for one of my pawns and he has a "sights efficiency" of 212%.
That means, he is hitting everything. Is that a bug or supposed to be?

Tried other weapon mods on the workshop, always return to this one, it's the most polished, especially for CE.

Am I the only one with the problem that even with all the necessary technologies and workbenches, I don't see a bunch of weapons from this modpack? Does anyone know what the problem is?

@cody - The one that added the Staccato? It's already out.

Unless you mean the update I'm working on currently. There's not much, just cleaning up some of the weapon graphics. I might just release it right now.

I love this pack, it's huge and adds so much to my combat extended experience, I have noticed that they don't seem to work with the mod Weapon Proficiency though which is a shame

I suggest removing the laser effect on the weapon, it doesn't look ethical in my opinion. And just leave the nozzle without a green or red line.

I hope there will be more CE guns replacements. I want to see SVD, PKM, RPD, SKS, M60, M249, AK-74 and AK-12 , FN FAL and etc from you. Your sprites are such a good balance between high detalization and slight vanilla-esque look.

@Ava - Make sure to delete/unsubscribe from any older versions of CE, since having multiple versions of the same mod installed confuses the game and causes it to not load the files properly. I use this mod with the dev branch of CE and it works normally.

@cody - Will add some Staccato pistols in the next update very soon.

Does not seem to be compatible with dev branch CE (at least the MP5K-PDW is not compatible) at the moment - the gun is not patched for CE

Oh and in game these things would show up with no graphics, or a white square when being hauled. In Simple Sidearms they would again show up with no graphics, but also with an offset slot in the sidearm bar.

Hmmmmm for 1.5 (with CE; didn't test vanilla) the following weapon's GraphicData path was not updated to the new path (or changed incorrectly in the case of S&W Model 460V):

log line e.g.: Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at Things/Item/Equipment/WeaponRanged/ColtPython in any active mod or in base resources.

I'll prob just write myself a patch to do this locally (should be easy enough for me with the tags you already set up) but little feature request/suggestion; having these weapons in their own category/categories on the workbench instead of just in the general ranged tag would be goated. example: ranged>gtek>cqb>rifles>heavy dropdowns. Not a major issue obviously but does make the workbench menu look nice and clean. Putting them in their own unique bench works too ofc but with the constraints of space on the gravship, I have enough modded workbenches as it is and it can be a pita to code/get art for it.

After update 1.6, I've found some problems with the mod, with show me your hands mod 3/4 of the weapons won't show up in the mod option (just empty) in their database. Also when spawning the weapons with Dev mode it cause lots of red error in the logs and spawn just the name of the weapon (invisible). These error both in 1.6 and reverting back to 1.5 version. I'm still checking if there's any mod causing the conflict. By far one of my best weapon I've ever used!!

I saw in the changelog you mention that Odyssey inspired you to make more variants. Do you think it would be possible to make these guns compatible with the new unique weapon system or would that be too much work?

Maybe you could find some time and interest in the future in making also some more sci-fi style weapons... bolters, gauss guns, spacer weapons, etc. Such a weapon pack with the quality of this guns would be for sure amazing.

From what I can see it does still work with 1.6, so the version warning can be ignored for now
