This is perfect for making flood scenes, as if you were in something and water flooding in, you can use this for water pouring in

@christian.j.mitchell I believe the game engine has a limit on the number of particles that can be generated and it can't be changed.
The "Particle Density" game option reduces the number of visible particles, but they are still calculated.

With this mod, you can change the particle lifetime, but I don't recommend exceeding 250-300, as there's no way to remove them.
The "Remove Particles" option only push them upward, so they go outside the render space.

Whit high lifetime values you could reach the limit sooner, if there are thousands of particles that aren't visible but are still calculated.
Whit a high lifetime, it could take about an hour for them to despawn completely, leaving the only solution to restart the level.

This mod is amazing. The fluid looks great, it flows extremely well and holds up surprisingly well on the frame rate. I do have one question though.

Is there an option to remove the particle maximum? Yes, its probably a bad idea, but I would love the option to make as much water as I want.

The map in the second image is the "Quilez Security" teardown map.
hd.ross3 21 JUL a las 18:38
dude this is awesome. i spent alot of time playing with this mod and feature's keep up the great work man!
SMBriTheNuke 8 JUL a las 17:50
This is a really great mod. Also what map is the second image on? (the image with the lava)

Thanks!

@sebasTilin7 The Teardown engine uses two particle types: Smoke and Plain. The plain type looks like a solid entity, but has simple physics (the particles don't stack), and the smoke type has more realistic physics, but the particles look like... smoke.

Perhaps a better simulation of water could be achieved, as you mention, using shaders. One way to do this would be to add a shader to a small voxel, like the Liquify mod, but making the voxels invisible and attaching a shader to each one.
For now, I've modified the "Liquid" version to make it look more solid and added a version to spawn small voxels.

@ihategoldstuff I added the option to make acid corrode materials, but it's the same method I use to make lava ignite things, which is very simple, so you'll probably prefer to use these mods: Hungry Slimes / Acid Gun or Acid Gun (voxels)

@2Sickpuppies I added the "Smoke" option back
2Sickpuppies 9 JUN a las 11:29
Are you able to add the smoke option back?
ihategoldstuff 5 JUN a las 12:53
can you make the acid work pleas
sebasTilin7 12 MAY a las 19:15
also the water cant stack up at a certain heigh so we cant make tall pools
sebasTilin7 12 MAY a las 19:12
i freaking love this mod, the only problem i see is how it looks, i dont know if you can make it but i think it would be a good idea to make the water not look like smoke, maybe a shader that joins balls like gwater?
LavamanV2 5 ABR a las 6:20
Thank you
o_O-r.  [autor] 24 MAR a las 13:40
@LavamanV2 I added an option to make lava ignite things, but it will only spawn fire in some parts.
LavamanV2 23 MAR a las 9:42
Is there a way to make the lava ignite things because that would be awesome.
o_O-r.  [autor] 17 MAR a las 9:28
@raptorsharkplays I included an option to add an upward wind force to try to remove some particles, but yes, roofs are a problem.

@Tiberiu Your mod works fine for me, maybe it can lag a bit with high values of downwards gravity and particle drag but it also makes the simulation more realistic.

@Spastic While using the tool, press "R" to open the menu. You can change the particle duration with the "-" and "+" buttons.
I updated it so you can now increase the duration to 9999 by pressing "@," but I only recommend this for filling small buckets and reset the value afterwards, as some particles can't be removed.
Spastic 17 MAR a las 1:10
How do i make the life time go up alot, I want the water particles to be forever?
Tiberiu 3 MAR a las 2:08
perfect, i was trying to figure out how to do this with my mod flood smoke gun thing but failed, this is perfect, mine would just make you lag out of existance, but this, this is perfection

5 stars out of 5
raptorsharkplays 23 ENE a las 10:12
up wind would work on anything but normal water right? so i dont think that would be a bad idea. although there would be the problem of roofs...
o_O-r.  [autor] 6 ENE a las 9:58
@blofer the sky guy/@frugt19/@raptorsharkplays I don't think it's possible to remove particles once they spawn, the only way to remove them is if they go outside the shadow map.

One solution would be to add an upwards wind force to make them disappear into the sky, but it won't affect all particles.
Or maybe somehow index all particles so they can be removed, but it will probably affect performance.
raptorsharkplays 4 ENE a las 16:18
ooh good idea

you should add a keybind to clear all the particles. like K
o_O-r.  [autor] 12 OCT 2024 a las 7:56
@Ultimate_Gamer Try pressing "R" while using the tool and in the particles menu change the lifetime of the particles.

Some particles must be inside the shadow map to be visible.

When using the tool by pressing the "Left Mouse Button" a HUD mark (blue dot) should appear at the position of the "fountain". If not, maybe some other mod is removing it.

I added options for the MOD and now you can change the keybindings.
Invincible_Gamer 6 OCT 2024 a las 14:08
placeable water cannon
Invincible_Gamer 6 OCT 2024 a las 14:08
the water cannon part isnt working for me idk if im doing something wrong im just pressing rmb do i have to press another button to actavate it?
ihategoldstuff 8 SEP 2024 a las 7:22
i love it!!!!!!
raptorsharkplays 10 JUL 2024 a las 13:04
o_O-r, mebeh set spawn button to = button and maybe add it so - removes last spawned
MemeJuice 3 JUL 2024 a las 18:00
can you make a button to reset the water? delete the water? what about diffrent water size settings
kidtron890 27 JUN 2024 a las 21:33
DUDE THAT'S FOME NOT CUM WHAT IS WRONG WITH U
o_O-r.  [autor] 28 ABR 2024 a las 12:43
@PB I don't added it before to avoid leaving the tool constantly runing in the background if the water canon it's spawned, but it's a silly restricction.

So I added a counter and a hud mark to keep track of the water canons spawned and maybe I should change the controls, since it's quite anoying spawning them by accident when you're using the tool and grab something.
PB 27 ABR 2024 a las 3:46
i also placed a water cannon and put away the item and got confused when it never stopped shooting water. and then i realised that you added it
PB 27 ABR 2024 a las 3:45
thats the first time anybody has added something i asked for in a mod...
PB 27 ABR 2024 a las 3:45
...
o_O-r.  [autor] 26 ABR 2024 a las 8:07
@PB I updated it and now the water cannons will work without having the tool selected.
I should have added that before.
PB 25 ABR 2024 a las 10:55
I am REALLY doubting you will be able to make water cannons still shoot the liquid when you put the item away. im not saying you have to, or if your able to...
Dankturtle1364 9 ABR 2024 a las 18:23
The lava is super realistic 11/10 exceeded expectations
Dankturtle1364 9 ABR 2024 a las 12:03
Ah yes Lava :D Thank you. I have some good suggestions if you could dm me
o_O-r.  [autor] 9 ABR 2024 a las 10:52
@Dankturtle1364 / @raptorsharkplays I added lava, but it only has visual effects, it won't start fires or destroy things.
raptorsharkplays 8 ABR 2024 a las 10:23
yeh lavas
Dankturtle1364 7 ABR 2024 a las 11:21
Pls make lava >_<
raptorsharkplays 4 ABR 2024 a las 9:39
i'll see about that
o_O-r.  [autor] 4 ABR 2024 a las 8:58
@raptorsharkplays I added an option in the tool menu to change the life time of the particles.
But spawning thousand of particles with a long life time may be unstable.
raptorsharkplays 2 ABR 2024 a las 7:08
i thought it couldn't get better but then i was like, oh wait what if there was a menu that made despawning particles toggleable
raptorsharkplays 30 MAR 2024 a las 7:21
