Are the recipes for crafting spell scrolls available as loot to find or drop somewhere?

I don't see them for sale in any vendor, and without scroll crafting the vast majority of crafting ingredients is useless, so it seems like an oversight.

Ok, having played this module (with UB mod which is a must) for several hours (I maybe have a couple of hours more) I must say. Cudos to Lucky13!!! One of the best bug free modules Ive played with tricky fights I cant manage Challenge of Tiamat without tweaking the difficulty level, is there a solution? .

Suggestions to new players: This module is hard. I would recomend to lower exp gain a bit and play with more PCs (maybe 5-6), since the level 20 fights are grueling and if you dont want to reload 2-3 times before managing a fight, believe me, you need more PCs Glowing Pits had 3 reloads before I got it right with all the buffs I needed. Way to many demons and if the bloody Vrocks stunned my DPS paladin, it was Game over. Thank gods for Wall of fire

Suggestions to Lucky13: Not much, since it is very good!!! Although I would recomend somethings, mostly for the atmosphere.
*A couple of more magical armours You can find a +3 at the apprentice but nothing truly epic at the master .
*Removal of quest items. Get rid of those pesky minotaur heads .
*A little bit of more feeling at the Sanctuary, especially for those playing multiplayer. Would be nice to feel like you are in a city/camp.

@Lucky13 I ended up doing so and dealing with the other rooms first, then when I got back to the Spider Queen Lair I could go in and out without a problem. Just one of those things I guess - as opposed to Duke Uguccione, who's kicked my ass repeatedly (all l16) and demonstrated my ranger/bard/warlock/cleric party isn't as effective as I thought =)

@pgcd93 I don't see anything wrong with the exit on my end. Unfortunately I think your best bet is reloading a save from an earlier area.

Enjoying this very much - but I'm blocked. I left the Ducal to fight the Spider Queen and now I can't go back, because changing location results in an infinite loading screen (well, at least more than 5 minutes).
Any ideas @Lucky13?

A small-ish issue in the Wildmaze: If we select the "chance for magic item" option from the reward guy, the game soft-crashes in the dialogue. We can't save/load or skip the "line" he's probably not saying. We have to quit back to main menu and rehost the session.

FYI: We're playing co-op, my friend on Win11, me on Fedora 42 (Proton Experimental) (modding has been done via a windows VM for me). Mod and campaign works fine otherwise. Both on the same (recommended) version of UMM and UB.

@talemi I didn't end up finishing the wildmaze...also, go to the Monster Slayer's Guild when you are tier 2 to find a person who will show you the way to Mortgard.

How do i access the other floors of wildmaze? entered at level 6 went trough several floors then got key to first deep and got through the way out. now at level 10 I dont have new floors to visit, unless there is a different entrence?
Also couldnt find mortdard

The legendary clothes can be found in dungeons. A high level scroll/spell dealer is a good idea though.

I see. I was thinking more scrolls or disposable staffs or at least the base game legendary clothing to at least bump my ac a bit. Not literal cheat weapons.

Also not sure I agree with your other statement. Maybe in tabletop but not in this where martials has a weapon that allows them to do 2d10+2D10+2+ stun on every hit. While I have to spend my limited spellslots to even contest vs enemies who have advantage against spell.

But it is what it is I guess.

@Kotol Unfortunately there is not a lot of great loot for casters, period. This is also a problem in the pen and paper version of this RPG. Beyond the Wand of the War Mage there's not a lot that just directly buffs your atk, DC, et cetera. I would recommend protective items such as the Ring of Protection. But honestly casters do so much damage otherwise that they don't generally miss having great magic items.

Hi where is the shops that sells legendary weapons and armour for casters? Also where can I buy high end level scrolls?

Shakepeak Stronghold only seemed to sell Equipment for Martials.

@eod_dad I have released a new version of the mod that has the two quests you mentioned fixed. For your purposes, I recommend pressing the "O" button to pull up the UB menu and then completing the quests that way.

@BeastHunterX the mod.io version works without Unfinished Business.

@Doc Holiday You have to go to the campfires to activate the exit. This is to ensure that the module has pacing and that you can't long-rest endlessly between encounters. Also yes, the module is very difficult, that is the point. I recommend enabling cheats and just killing the monsters in the encounter if you get stuck. Otherwise I recommend keeping multiple save files so you can back out in case you encounter a fight that cannot be defeated easily.

@Faka93 There aren't any lower levels, I started on those but they proved to be very time-consuming to create and I lost steam. There's just the first deep of the Wildmaze for now.

Any plans to make a version that does not require Unfinished Business? I sync my Xbox S and my Steam Deck using Xbox PC so I can play and finish campaigns at home and on the go, so downloading Unfinished Business is not an option for the Xbox.

Bah, now none of the quests update when I kill the target enemy. So I'm guessing it's an issue with UB, which is unfortunate since UB is required to play this adventure. I think I'll have to leave it unfinished until a solution can be found.

a bad campaign. i went with my lvl 1 party to the royal preserve or whatever the name is and after a couple of fights i entered the magnesium mine, defeated some fire jesters and had enough xp to level up, but some genius decided to make it impossible to leave the mine through the entrance, so the only resting spot is next to a fire osprey who kills 3-5 party members in the first round. i tried multiple times, but the fight is just impossible. thats bad level design, the entrance to the mine is literally a stair but apparently going up these stairs and rest outside is too much for a party of adventurers. Downvoted

Just wanted to mention I had the same issue with the Twin Giants quest as @JaqFlash ; the quest didn't update to completed after I killed both. Even loaded a save prior to fight and tried again but it still didn't update quest.

I've done the campaign a couple of times, and both times, had some issues with the "Twin Giants" at tier 4. The quest just didn't complete on killing both, either time. (I've used UB to progress past this point, but thought I should let you know in case it's not just me) :)

Loving your campaign so far! Too many things to like to list.

Quick question: I chose to do the wildmaze at level 1 and was level 4 when I finished. Should I also do the other tier 1 areas, or just head straight to some T2 areas? I'm conflicted; on one hand I don't want to miss out on some useful treasure items, some which may not be available anywhere else, but I also don't want to out level T2 areas.

In other words, was the adventure designed to only do some of the areas in each tier, instead of all of them?

Currently playing the campaign and am enjoying it immensely. Quick question though. Is there a merchant that sells scrolls of revivify? Playing the game on Cataclysm mode and I would like to have a few handy. I did find a couple while playing but I could always use more.

@NoxBoxted To complete "Godslayer" you have to pretty much clear every T6 area. Glowing Pit is located in the Forsaken City.

@Sigilbeckons Yes, in the lore, the Drake Valley used to have a lot of civilizations, but they are all in ruins now. There are still survivors but the cities have been destroyed.

I`m Level 20 now, and try the Tier6 areas... But I got a problem on my way to the elemental temple... a "random" encounter, and there is an "incarnate of earth".... it is immune to every type of damage!? I guess, I tried everything... or do I miss something???

I'm confused the beginning story says "Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Halflings were vanquished". I am guessing that vanquished in this respect is "they were beaten" and not destroyed all together as nothing is preventing us from playing these races and this is spoken of in the modules description and readable until after you launch the game.

@Derrilin Keep completing more monster kill quests and you'll progress the main quest.

@jonjrhr The mod is balanced for normal difficulty so things could get hairy if you turn it up.

I've enjoyed the module so far, however i'm a little stuck with progressing the main quest.
I have completed the 6 Tier 1 encounters (ie cleared each of the three low level zones)
I have done the wildmaze teir 1... though it didn't trigger anything in the journal
and its still "stuck" at the novice level for the main quest.
If I move onto the Tier 2 zones, those trigger local tier 2 quests as expected.
Have I missed something about a Tier1 progression?

@Prodigy Ah, sorry that didn't work. Mortgard is a whole different can of worms though so you should be good to play through the rest of the campaign without it. I included Mortgard long after I had already finished the first edition of the mod.

@Lucky13 Been playing this custom campaign for the past couple of days with a friend of mine and I have to say it's been amazing and really fun thus far. We have just reached lvl 12 but cannot find Mortgard Megadungeon even after speaking to the Necromancer. Are we expected to travel to the level 20 map of Ur to find the dungeon? We would love to tackle it before we become too high level for it.
