I can't seem to use clay from medieval over in the recipes for this mod, is there a way to convert it atm?
Nonamo 4 Dec, 2024 @ 5:35am
"Bricks don't make for good weapons"
Au contraire, bricks are the throwing weapon of the proletariat!
DetVisor  [author] 12 Nov, 2024 @ 6:10am
It should, I believe wall construction is all locked behind automatically but even then, it would be a balanced addition for you to only be able to make raw clay walls, which aren't very good.
Mark Bobaba 12 Nov, 2024 @ 5:08am
Yeah I still like the walls tbh. Does this intergrate with VFE - Tribals "Wild men" start. I really love that scenario as you start with nothing, so it would be good if clay walls and the likes got locked behind one of the basic research projects when its installed.
DetVisor  [author] 11 Nov, 2024 @ 10:26am
It's fairly cheap decor, and a great building material. They're not storage pots, they're meant to be pretty.
Mark Bobaba 11 Nov, 2024 @ 5:02am
Really like this idea. I know adaptive storage neolithic provides storage pots and so do the ones from VFE art with Reel's storage, but I would definitely use this mod instead if they provided storage otherwise its just bloat
dover 31 Aug, 2024 @ 5:28am
could a patch making MO clay and Epochs clay the same resource/item def be possible?
DetVisor  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 7:08am
No, though if you yearn for storage pots, Adaptive Storage Neolithic may be for you.
tsundere.anubis 9 Aug, 2024 @ 6:56am
Can I use the pots for storage?
Wolfy 27 Jul, 2024 @ 3:37am
Thanks for the update!
DetVisor  [author] 27 Jul, 2024 @ 3:07am
Mod updated, patch should be all good.
revanite44 8 Jun, 2024 @ 9:24am
kk, thanks for the answer!
DetVisor  [author] 8 Jun, 2024 @ 12:27am
They're meant to be strong, marble is just a particularly weak stone.
revanite44 7 Jun, 2024 @ 10:00pm
Just a question. Are the cobb walls supposed to be stronger than marble, or would that be a "Check your mods" problem?
Sigourney Weaver in Alien4 1 Jun, 2024 @ 12:20am
Why did you decide against a quality system (like normal art) for creating pottery?
Kaeh 26 May, 2024 @ 7:00am
For the XML patch error, you should remove the PatchOperationRemove on costList and let the PatchOperationReplace inside the PatchOperationFindMod (MedievalOverhaul) do its job :)

Also, you should add a loadAfter MedievalOverhaul inside the about.xml just to be sure :)
Kaeh 26 May, 2024 @ 6:55am
Hey, thanks for the mods !

I've created two "extensions" to add digging clay spot and lock content behind a neolothic research

Just had this error telling me that this mod failed to path MO (I'm ussing the unofficial 1.5 version). https://pastebin.com/D8eUSg9p
DetVisor  [author] 4 May, 2024 @ 4:18pm
It should be the stonecutting bench.
Dorka 4 May, 2024 @ 2:53pm
How do you make Clay Bricks? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Playing with Medieval Overhaul, so unsure if it's locked behind an industrial station.
Queen or Else 18 Apr, 2024 @ 12:41am
in 1.4, sculptures made out of clay bricks have 0 beauty no matter the quality
DetVisor  [author] 13 Apr, 2024 @ 2:40am
Huh, weird, I'll check.
bryn Ovem 12 Apr, 2024 @ 5:15am
Hi! receive this on startup since the last update "XML error: <soundImpactStuff>BulletImpact_Ground</soundImpactStuff> doesn't correspond to any field in type StuffProperties. Context:"

Mod updated to 1.5, also added clay tile and flagstone. They are in the dropdown menu with the other stones to avoid clutter.
DetVisor  [author] 8 Apr, 2024 @ 11:54pm
You're welcome.
Pvc pipe 8 Apr, 2024 @ 11:11pm
Oh hell yeah, thank you
DetVisor  [author] 8 Apr, 2024 @ 3:06pm
Mod will get a 1.5 update tomorrow, fixing that issue as well.
Pvc pipe 4 Apr, 2024 @ 1:21am
yeah you cant use clay bricks to make floors, it would be awesome if the author fixed that issue
Mel 20 Mar, 2024 @ 4:14am
@HeydocHawke stuffed floors has variants that use this clay.
Ted Bunny 28 Jan, 2024 @ 6:07am
Would be cool if pottery could be used for primitive storage
HeydocHawke 27 Jan, 2024 @ 11:28pm
awesome mod, all I need now is clay floor
fitznorway 20 Jan, 2024 @ 1:39am
I cant figure out where I am supposed to make clay bricks, and I dont know if it's a mod conflict, or I'm just being silly. Any help would be appreciated! This and the incense mod are, like, forever adds for me. Just wonderful work.
Jabba 4 Jan, 2024 @ 9:23am
Is anyone else unable to build floors out of clay?
Kaissar 19 Dec, 2023 @ 7:27am
When making sculptures with clay blocks the beauty stats disappears. Is this intended?
Velvet 13 Dec, 2023 @ 10:52pm
Not sure if its been suggested yet, but it might be worthwhile to make it so that the clay turning table unlocks with electricity so that there's no confusion, or clutter in the menus in a pure medieval playthrough for that matter.

Also, since you recommend using Medieval Overhaul, which makes iron the default metal instead of steel it might be good to include a patch to allow the use of iron instead of steel, or else make the metal requirement stuffable instead of the wood. Seems a little unreasonable to have to research steel when pottery predates metal tools historically.
Roque the Rogue 3 Dec, 2023 @ 10:55am
Thank you Det, very cool.
Can't wait to fill Pots with candy and drug juice. We can fill the Pots, right? it has a very potty size inside.
Idk, plant stuff inside too? decorated pot plus flowers, maximum beauty overload.
Anyways, awesomefied top quality content, as always. :KneelingBow:
DetVisor  [author] 30 Nov, 2023 @ 3:52am
Unfortunately, food preservation would take a good chunk of C#, and also wouldn't be very balanced considering the prices are based around the clay being mainly decorational. I will keep this in mind for another mod, though.
Balthazad 29 Nov, 2023 @ 10:58am
+1 for food preservation
+1 for VGP Garden fermentation

looks cool :D
Rime_Low 29 Nov, 2023 @ 9:27am
+1 for food preservation
Also you do some good mod !
LodtheFraud 28 Nov, 2023 @ 9:06pm
This is such a cool mod for my tribal playthrough! It would be very interesting to see food preservation functionality added, as a weaker, early game alternative to refrigerators.
Alex 28 Nov, 2023 @ 8:02pm
I dunno if you use fertile fields but could you make the clay compatible?
Sun Cultist 26 Nov, 2023 @ 11:54am
This is awesome! Love the detail!
DetVisor  [author] 26 Nov, 2023 @ 7:25am
They all affect it slightly, due to their material connection to nature, the planet and such.
Hoki 26 Nov, 2023 @ 7:24am
@DetVisor the reason why the raw clay wall affects meditation is because of the carved variant i assume?
DetVisor  [author] 26 Nov, 2023 @ 6:28am
Classic english L.
Gilded Wraith 26 Nov, 2023 @ 6:23am
It's one of the most common incongruities with the English language. That "Flammable" and "Inflammable" are synonyms, not antonyms.
DetVisor  [author] 26 Nov, 2023 @ 5:36am
Ah, wow, I thought inflammable meant non-flammable. Yeah I do mean that they're non-flammable, gonna fix that real soon.
Gilded Wraith 26 Nov, 2023 @ 5:26am
When you write "inflammable", do you mean it's flammable or non-flammable?
cyanobot 25 Nov, 2023 @ 4:53pm
Hi, I happen to be currently working on a little personal project that builds on Processor Framework to allow processing objects of one Stuff into another, e.g. firing things made of clay into finished ceramics. (The C# works as far as I can tell, but I haven't tested extensively.) Would you be interested in collaborating?
