What happens if you put a bloodfeeder into a draincasket. Do you have to feed them hemogen as well as food? Or do they behave like other pawns; Just gotta feed them to keep them producing blood.

Ah, I see I see, it was an animal plague, but if it only works on infections and not diseases, that makes sense. It still used up the hemogen though which is why I was confused as to why it didnt lower the progression

Hi, I built and used the Invocation Matrix just before the fix for the choosing ability was pushed. My pawn got the native Coagulate ability and a scarlet color button Coagulate ability from the Invocation Matrix as I could not open menu at the time and that was the default one.

Then the mod updated, I deathrested again and chose Hemostasis, after deathrest finished I have a scarlet colored Hemostasis ability, but I still have the scarlet colored Coagulate button, along the regular blue Coagulate, basically I got extra "extra" ability if that makes sense.

Well, what kind of infection was it? The ability only works on base game infections. Bear in mind a disease is NOT an infection in RimWorld

Question, hows the ‘Filter Infection’ ability supposed to work, cause Ive tried it on pawns with infections, but it hasnt reduced it at all. Trying to figure out if this is my fault, a bug, or a different mod messing with it

It's part of the hemogen pipe network, it won't pop up hemogen packs on its own

Yes, it's supposed to continuously pull 1 packet a day as long as it's got an occupant (also based on their food intake) and it has nutrients. I should get the minimum with the pawn I have in the thing and I haven't gotten any. Possibly maybe a video showing how it's supposed to be set up with the storage vat and the input/output might help to at least make sure it's configured properly. I assumed I'd be able to pipe from any "side" of the device would allow piping anywhere on the 8 locations on the vat or 7 on the casket itself, but I am no longer sure that's the case. I do know I am no longer getting the warning that something in the network is not connected, but I feel I've placed a ridiculous amount of unneeded extra piping.

I can not seem to figure out how to get the draincasket to work. I have a prison pawn inserted it has nutrients. It's been over 2 in game days and I keep having to add more food to it and I still haven't gotten any blood bags from it...

hello! I really like this mod, but I found a bug. I can't use the invocation matrix. the device connects to the coffin, but I can't switch to another ability. I turned on the "developer mode" and an error popped up in the debug menu. "created floatmenu with no options. closing."

Gotcha. Was just unsure. As there are some gene/abilities that work without the gene or the need for a psycast(Heart Crush, Ecstasy, Filter infection, Viscous Goo). Toxic cloud so far seems to be the only exception.

For context. Meta’s Vampire mod introduces a means to gain other sangu abilities by consuming down Sangu’s.
Again to be clear this psycast issue still applies even with that mod or method.

Can you think of any other way of giving the ability to a pawn that doesn’t inherently have it at game start? I’ll test with biotic babies when I get home, I suppose.

Actually I stand corrected. It does only happen with this mod and its req. When given via dev mod they don't automatically get the psylink but the ability can't be used ( tested this with Heartcrush).
When given the ability via character editor they are automatically given a psylink

Okay, idea for sanguophage xenotype variant: Insectophage.

Mosquito Sanguophages that can fly. They have a pointy mosquito proboscis that allows them to puncture and drink blood mid-combat, and makes their enemy nauseous. They also get stronger the more blood they drink, but exponentially get weaker and more tired the less blood they have, so they have to constantly feed to survive and be useful.

Yeah, it's an ability. It HAS TO be a melee attack

Weird question though: It looks like the Heartcrush ability does not satisfy the Kill Satiety need from the Kill Thirst gene. Is this intentional? I know Kill Satiety only typically gets satisfied from melee kills by default, so I assumed this was because Heartcrush is technically an ability instead of a melee attack. I think Heartcrush certainly 'follows the spirit' of satisfying Kill Satiety, even if it doesn't 'technically' count as a melee kill in gameplay terminology.

My Sanguophage fell into torpor during a fight and lost all his blood. It was a raid on a bandit camp. I had animal hemogen with me, but I couldn't give it to him in the caravan or even outside it (at camp), as it's not his likeable food (ekkima). When vampires are conscious, they will never drink a hemogen packet they don't like, even when they're in danger of dying, and if they're in torpor or unconscious, it's impossible to give them hemogen. Please fix it.

Is there a way to increase draw distance on pawns in draincaskets? They disappear after just zooming out a tiny bit. Dont know why but this bothers me more than it probably should...

No matter how much corpse hemogen I have in storage my corpse-feeder will always suck it out of bodies first. Why don't they prefer hemogen packs first since they can extract corpse hemogen from any corpse no matter the rot?

Is there any way of automating collection of animal hemogen? I'd love a draincasket or similar for animals =) If anyone knows of a mod that adds this, please point me to it, cause I've been unable to find one =(
