Vanilla Races Expanded is a brand new series of mods to enhance Biotech features, add to the storytelling and the world-building of RimWorld, and to introduce new, cool types of xenohumans, complete with their own unique genes, behaviors, mechanics and items.
Introducing Vanilla Races Expanded - Sanguophage, a thrilling mod that adds a captivating layer of depth to the world of Rimworld. This expansive mod brings the ancient and terrifying power of vampiric bloodlines to life, infusing your gameplay with unique genes, incredible abilities, and unforgettable xenotypes. The Sanguophage mod offers an immersive experience, where players must navigate complex management of their sanguophages' hemogen needs and the captivating dynamics of different blood types. Brace yourself for blood moon events, the challenge of the hemohunter mental state, and master new deathrest building enhancements.

Summary of Features:

-Three New Xenotypes: Experience the Strigoi, Ekkimian, and Bruxa subxenotypes, each with their own distinct abilities, appearances, and playstyles. Forge a new path on the Rimworld with these powerful vampiric entities.

-Hemogen Management: Sanguophages require the lifeblood of their prey for sustenance. Balance their needs by acquiring blood packs, using prisoners, or employing diplomacy to obtain the precious hemogen they crave.

-Blood Types and Affinities: Discover the effects of different blood types and how they impact sanguophage abilities, social interactions, and compatibility. Master this dynamic to create an unstoppable vampire colony.

-Blood Moon Events: Prepare for the ominous Blood Moon, an event that strengthens sanguophages while presenting unique challenges and opportunities to expand your empire.

-Hemohunter Mental State: Tread carefully as your sanguophages can enter a frenzied state of bloodlust, hunting down prey in order to sate their unquenchable thirst.

-Deathrest Building Enhancements: Customize your sanguophages' lairs with new building options, providing comfort and safety for your vampires during their daily rest.

Vanilla Races Expanded - Sanguophage adds following mechanics to the base game:

[forms.gle]

Q: Will this mod work without Biotech DLC?
A: No. It uses the new gene system to work with Biotech.

Q: Will you make a HAR version of this race?
A: No, this is exclusively for the Biotech DLC.

Q: Do these genes appear in genepacks in the game?
A: They do! You can find the individual genes and apply them to any pawn!

Q: Can I find this race in the game?
A: Yes, the new Sanguophage variants have a chance to appear whenever a Sanguophage pawn is spawned, for example during the Sanguophage meet up event.

Q: Can I add it to an ongoing save?
A: Yes, but I don’t think you can safely remove xenotype mods, so don’t come crying when your game breaks if you remove mods!

Q: I don’t have the Psychofluid Well in my game!
A: You don’t have Royalty DLC. It will not be available without it.

Q: Does this mod work with any other sanguophage mods?
A: I don’t see why it shouldn’t. We don’t change the base sanguophage - we only add new ones.

Q: Can I put other hemogen types in the Hemogen network?
A: No, all Deathresting structures need standard hemogen, and as such the network only accepts standard hemogen also.

Q: I have a suggestion!
A: Excellent! Pop it in the comments section.

Q: CE compatible?
A: No idea. If it is, I’d appreciate if someone from CE let me know.

@Civic_ I recently found work around with the Draincasket and the VE Nutrient Paste mod. Once you build a Draincasket and have a Nutrient Paste system in place (with supply), force your pawns to manually fill the Draincasket with food. Then place a slave/prisoner into the Draincasket and the Nutrient Paste system will ensure the people in the caskets never die as the Nutrient ratio (via the Draincasket tooltip) will tick down to "4/5" and instantly go back to "5/5" if you have a Nutrient Paste Vat filled.

You do NOT need a Nutrient Paste Dispenser, you just need to connect a full Nutrient Paste Vat to the Draincasket and it will work.

Hope this helps!

It is, but you could already do it via extracting blood in operations if you micro manage, it makes no sense to NOT be able to make it automatic if you are able to do it but much more tedious.

Because it is a pure buff. It makes no sense to be automatic

Are there ANY mods that allow you to extract blood from a sanguophage for its blood automatically? No clue why this isnt in the main mod.
Skyl3lazer 13 Aug @ 7:22am
They only intake from nutrient pipes if there's someone inside of the draincasket.
Civic_ 12 Aug @ 1:44pm
hey sarg, i am also having trouble with the draincasket not connecting to my nutrient paste pipes. i put pipes on all four tiles and tried a dripper at the head of the casket but neither seemed to work. am i doing something wrong? i also limited their nutrition to nutrient paste meals because i am manually feeding them.
also, just a BIG thank you for all these mods. i am not only addicted to rimworld, but also to all of vanilla expanded

can you make Corpse feeding or corpse extraction drop all the gear and bionics on a corpse.

having the WHOLE corpse, gear and all, just delete.... kind of sucks. I do what I can to mitigate this, but still....

Plague is a disease, not an infection

I've been experiencing the same thing today - human baseliner pawn has Plague, filter blood isn't doing anything at all.
