thats good but it takes a lot of resources to build motherships which is why id just use this as a way to build up my fleet
SirCampalot  [author] 14 Sep @ 10:21am
@Wolfpackalpha8: I use a mothership for that, which has all of the fabricators and stored resources for fabricating new ships and which can keep up with the rest of the fleet (usually near my mining fleet).

by base i mean something i can go to dump all my resources at while it prints all the ships i need for me
SirCampalot  [author] 13 Sep @ 9:05pm
@Wolfpackalpha8: You can figure out the approximate size of the map by flying to the edge of the map, pausing the game, then plotting a course to the opposive side of the map. It should tell you the distance of your journey and the approximate size of the map.

I never done this, so I don't know the size of the map from top of my head. It is also beyond the scope of this mod.

Building bases isn't much of a thing in this game as you will end up having to either move the base with you when you travel to the next star system (meaning it will have to move to the hyperjump relay, making it perhaps more a ship than a base), or you will have to leave it behind.
You can if you want to, but personally I prefer to just mine the dwarf planet down completely for its riches.

so how big is this compared to the rest of the map
cause i want to build a base inside one of these now as it seems like it could be a very good idea

I've uploaded the previous version of this mod to this page: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3565830451

It's provided as-is for people who want to remain with Cosmoteer 0.30.0.

Version 1.5.0

Updated to work with Cosmoteer version 0.30.1.
Due to the nature of the Cosmoteer 0.30.1 update, previous versions of Cosmoteer are no longer supported by this mod.

@SirCampalot:Nice. Thank you again
SirCampalot  [author] 4 Aug @ 11:59pm
@Valhalla: I've just patched Extended Tech Tree Mod again to prevent the game from disabling it.
But whatever fixed your issue, the most important thing is it is working again now.

I've also made changes to the updates now to help prevent similar issues in the foreseeable future.
Valhalla 4 Aug @ 11:57pm
I have always enabled "Extended Tech Tree Mod", so it's not caused by this. But just now it seemed that everything was normal again, but I didn't make any changes, so this is very strange. Anyway, thank you.
SirCampalot  [author] 4 Aug @ 11:23pm
@Valhalla: Cosmoteer version 0.30.0a disabled a lot of mods AGAIN.
I've spend the last 2 1/2 hours patching my mods again.

Silver means the game probably disabled Extended Tech Tree Mod on your modlist. Please make sure it is activated.
Valhalla 4 Aug @ 11:19pm
I'm not sure which mod caused it, but an error occurred right after the update, indicating that "silver" couldn't be found (it was normal a few hours ago).

Version 1.4.3a

Updated version number to prevent Cosmoteer from complaining about supposedly incompabible mod, even though the mod works just fine.

Also prepatched this mod to prevent Cosmoteer from complaining again when Cosmoteer 0.30.0b, 0.30.0c, 0.30.0d, 0.30.0e, 0.30.0f, 0.30.0g, 0.30.0h, 0.30.1, 0.30.2 and 0.31.0 get released.

The reason why it went from 1.4.2 to 1.4.3a is to remain synchronous version number with the non-ETTM version of Mineable Dwarf Planets.

@AnAmoeba: Thank you for the feedback and keep enjoying ^^

Cosmoteer isn't complete without your mods; really appreciate them!

(part 2 because too long)
The standard MDP will have a spawn chance of 50% with the sandy type and rocky type each having a spawn chance of 25% (for 100% total).

I'm happy to have brought more diversity to the Mineable Dwarf Planets mod, the new added types will help make career mode a bit more interesting and diverse :)

The addons for MDPs will have to be modified separately though, so until then these will spawn just the standard MDP types.
All 3 types of MDP have the same name, so if you want to identify which type it is you'll have to use Mark 1 Eyeball
SirCampalot  [author] 1 May @ 4:32am
v1.4.2 adds 2 new types of Mineable Dwarf Planets that have a brand new feature I've recently been experimenting with.
The new MDPs feature more prominent stratification (meaning they have multiple layers of different materials).
One of the 2 MDPs is like the standard one, but its outer layer consist of softer more sandy material that is somewhat easier to mine, but the outer layer contains fewer rare resources.
The other new type of MDP is the same as a standard MDP, but features a 'small' rocky core which has increased rare resources.

So if you find a sandy MDP you'll get a bit less loot and if you find one with a rocky core you'll get a bit more :)

Version 1.4.1 made all Mineable Dwarf Planets visible when inside gas clouds, just like all vanilla asteroids are from Cosmoteer patch 0.28.2
No other changes were made.
SirCampalot  [author] 11 Feb @ 11:00am
Version 1.4.0 adds support for Platinum, a new mineable resource released in Extended Tech Tree Mod Version 1.3.17 which was released 29 januari 2025.
This mod will not support older versions of ETTM anymore because these will have Platinum missing.

Please keep in mind that Mineable Dwarf Planets below tier 8 star systems (so 5-7 and lower) will not contain any Platinum.

Also the MDP addons will need to be updated separately before they will support the new resource.
SirCampalot  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 12:18pm
Version 1.3.0 will support Cosmoteer version 0.26.2 from now on. Previous versions will no longer work due to changes in how asteroids are spawned.

@DreezyMoto:
Glad to see your issue has been resolved. Enjoy :)
DreezyMoto 10 Aug, 2023 @ 7:46pm
yep that fixed the issue. Note to other uses, dont use both versions of this mod xD thank you @SirCampalot for telling me the obvious haha. and great work on all your mods. really enjoying them!
DreezyMoto 10 Aug, 2023 @ 7:42pm
@SirCampalot ahh i see so i also had the non-expansion version of this mod as well, i suppose trying to load both of them at once would cause some issues, ill try it without. Sorry I shouldve thought of that
SirCampalot  [author] 6 Aug, 2023 @ 10:44pm
@DreezyMoto, just to clarify, there are 2 base versions of Mineable Dwarf Planets. This one is the expansion for another mod named Extended Tech Tree Mod whilst the other one is the stand-alone version.
If you are not using Extended Tech Tree Mod, this version will not work.

And yes please do share the crash log, put it somewhere where I can easily access it and please do include the entire contents of the crash log.

I've created a new thread in the discussions part of this mod, I'd suggest you try to put it there (I'm sure it won't fit in here), but you can also make use of the official discord modding section or you can upload it somewhere where I can easily access it.
DreezyMoto 6 Aug, 2023 @ 2:20pm
Hey! Cant wait to play your mods/addons! for some reason this addon ctds my game, i narrowed it down to this one after going through 1 by 1. not sure what caused it, probably an incompatibility with one of the other mods i have. I didn't think to grab the crash log but if it happens again ill be sure to post it here.
SirCampalot  [author] 21 Jul, 2023 @ 4:08am
Version 1.2.0 adds support for the new resource Duranium.
This version requires Extended Tech Tree Mod 1.1.2 as a minimum to function.
If there are any issues with this mod, then please write it here in the comments so I can work on a fix.
SirCampalot  [author] 28 Jun, 2023 @ 10:48am
Version 1.1.1 updates the supported game version, so it doesn't throw this incompatibility error anymore.
No other changes were made.
