It was a lot of fun. The only problem I had with it is the vampire boss thing appears to have go back and search instead of just go back. I ended up getting to the point that the bigger one just kept looping search at the end of the panel. This made it impossible for the leaver pull to kill it. No clue what happens with the map after this part for it happened the time i ran it with a group and solo.

An update on the second map, it's slow progress. I'm trying to find a good balance between making the dungeon large, but at the same time, it's hard to fit in a 'purpose' to every room. I'm torn between trying to keep it interesting and flavourful, and just throwing in a room of creatures to kill.

Also, damned Torchlight 2 snuck up and stole a couple of my days!

Thanks for the encouraging comment. I do believe that more work would definitely be required before this made it to the official maps, though!

I hope to finish the sequel map to this while waiting for feedback and then polish this one up when the new is released for testing. I need more comments about things that can be changed and improved!

Finally got enough ratings to get a 3-star result, so there is clearly room to improve in some people's eyes. I need to know the areas for improvement before I can call the map finished.

The orange key is not hidden, just requires you to run the little maze before the worms die to fire traps.

"The Attack on the Necromancer's Lair", the sequel to "The Dire Keep" is already in development. The room layout is drawn up and it looking to be much larger than TDK, at over 60 rooms (not counting what's behind the doors!) and will feature some truely hair-pulling puzzles and an innovative forking-path design. This will give you either greater replay, or increased challenge, depending on decisions you make as you progress in the dungeon. As before it will be designed for seasoned adventurers looking for challenging fights.

You will be able to get revenge on the Necromancer for his treachery!

First rules of making bosses : immune them to mental cause a stun boss is a bit easy. I liked the story :) was cool.

To Do:
Put loot throughout dungeon, and in Vault.
Await feedback from testers regarding difficulty of monsters. Adjust as required.
Go through the main keep and decorate the rooms, still a bit bare.
Add checkpoints where needed.
