An option to ignore meme restrictions would be nice. Not a demand just an idea if you have time, no rush.

Hello everyone, please DO NOT ask "1.6????", I'm already struggling with a lot of modding and IRL stuff, asking for updates won't make things faster, I'm already aware I should update. Thanks for your comprehension. Other suggestions are welcomed.

Current guess is that the AP_EnslavementPrecept.ThoughtWorker_JealousGreedyThought code is somehow failing to check if a greedy pawn is actually enslaved before adding the thought, but I can't be sure since there's no source code in the mod folder.

But if that were the case, my jealous pawns should also have the moodlet. Only my greedy pawn has it.

In the future, when you update this mod, please support the Simple Slavery Collars mod.
These two mods could complement each other perfectly, but currently they create confusion in the minds of slaves. The stages of slavery and the new collars that the Simple Slavery Collars mod adds to the game are not consistent with the new ideology. Slaves think two different thoughts in parallel, sometimes opposite in meaning.

All enslaved pawns get -30 "resentfully enslaved" mood even if part of an ideology that is chill with being enslaved.
I personally don't mind this atm because I'm not doing a slaver colony but this still seems like agony for more slavery-inclined players.

very good idea thanks, is it possible to create patch from other mods like Ideology expanded memes and structure, or alpha meme ?
for the emancipation and egalitarian memes for example, that the pawns who have these memes do not accept to be slaves

They aren't slaves but get the -30 malus anyway. That's the issue

Even if they truly were slaves to their emotions, it's how they see themselves that count. Due to how their traits work, they see themselves as people that deserve more than the others, not as slaves

By default, no one should have Being Enslaved set to Honorable, but IMO, there should be a chance that the Pain Is Virtue Meme CAN spawn that Precept.

@Kokorocodon; There was an attempt by some slave-owning communities in 1700s America to rewrite the Bible to promote enslavement to their slaves. Think of the Honorable precept in this mod as a religion where that attempt succeeded... at least that's what I imagined when commissioning the mod lol

Thank you for your immediate and kind reply @Alexis Popcorn! I have saved no screenshots, unfortunately. I believe the thought was "Resentfully enslaved -30". Regarding the second part. In vanilla you can select how your pawns see slavery - you click on SLAVERY icon and choose options: "Honorable", "Acceptable", etc. HAR adds an icon ALIEN SLAVERY with the same selection. So HAR adds difference if a human or an alien was enslaved. And I think it would be cool if your mod could take that into account too. For example: pawn is fine with being enslaved, but is also a xenophobe and dislikes aliens. Then if the pawn is enslaved by a human, he/she is happy. If by an alien - unhappy.

Hi @Alexis Popcorn, thank you for your wonderful mod! I have a question to you with regards to a scenario start provided by Integrated Xenotypes. You have a single pawn with regalid xenotype. And this pawn has a thought of having been recently enslaved for some reason. There is no error message in the development mode, so I have nothing to provide you with. But that did not happen to me with other scenarios and xenotypes. Could you maybe guess what is the issue here? And the second question - does your mod work with HAR?

Abhorrent description doesn't make sense for a generalised case, it sounds like what a supremacist ideology would have

If you have Biotech installed, you could try Integrated Genes for the latter.

That includes a "Submissive" gene, which applies a strong positive moodlet while the gene carrier's enslaved (and a minor negative moodlet when they're free) - and reduces their suppression fall rate to 20% of normal, I think.

It's an interesting concept. Would you consider separating by gender to work with gender supremacy memes? Or maybe a trait that adds submission or wanting to be enslaved.

I'm a little confused here. Do those precepts also affect your colonists? It'd be a shame if they have a perment mood buff due to not being a slave.

This is a cool precept, different cultures have vastly different views on enslavement and how they deal with it.
