@sethkwright: IV Drug injector has got you covered.

I love using Medullin with the IV Drug Injector mod. If my solo pawn can make it to the hospital bed, he will survive.

Works on 1.6 but it does conflict with Graphics Setter 1.6
Conniday  [author] 11 Jul @ 5:06am
Should work on 1.6 because it's just an XML mod, but you're free to try and tell me if it doesn't.
I'm a bit lazy to update the version right now because I don't have the files installed at the moment.
ripshawe 11 Jul @ 5:04am
has anyone tested this on 1.6?
sewnutty 10 Jul @ 6:47pm
What a wonderful mod alongside the cigarettes.
I would imagine this to be considered equivalent to industrial tech medicine yes?

If so this could have even simpler backstory of being used for ambulances or warzone field hospitals where time is more important than quality care. Just to buy time or stop the bleeding.
ambient_npc_manager 25 Apr @ 9:30am
imagine if there was a wall mounted injector like in half life

Look Imma just say to go look at the Shoddycast Video about the Stims from Fallout and leave it at that.

Going back to the thought of using Luciferium, I would be in approval for the sole reason of actually being able to use the inevitable small stockpile of useless, yet very valuable, Luciferium that you somehow get. Say for example that it takes 2 Luciferium, some medicine or (imo better) Glitterworld medicine, and some plasteel. My only wish if it is changed to using Luciferium is that at least some hand-wavering effort is done to be a little lore accurate (I highly appreciate vanilla-friendliness).
Conniday  [author] 13 Dec, 2024 @ 2:25am
Well nanomachines would be in the realm of Advanced Components, and I want industrial-era medicine.
AtlasTheReaper 10 Dec, 2024 @ 4:17pm
Hear me out, how about you keep it the same and just say it's Nanomachines and refuse to elaborate.
Conniday  [author] 26 Sep, 2024 @ 2:43am
Sigh!
Cpt. Squirrel 25 Sep, 2024 @ 2:51pm
The problem with using Luciferium is that according to lore you would become addicted to Lucifurium no matter the dose unless it would be pacified somehow? Maybe a strain of Lucifurium that doesn't have the addictive properties I guess?
Conniday  [author] 24 Sep, 2024 @ 5:11am
@Cpt. Squirrel

I guess that does make sense. Maybe I'll think of using Luciferium for this too, something something mechanites. I don't know, I'll keep it as is since it's just a simple xml mod.
Cpt. Squirrel 23 Sep, 2024 @ 12:13pm
This is cool. I suggest changing the crafting recipe to require one glitterworld medicine, one component and three plasteel. I think it makes a lot of sense that a powerful injection that heals quickly would rely on glitterworld technology.

@BitBoySeven: Check the drug tab on what the pawn can carry. It needs to be enabled or disabled, I can't remember.
Conniday  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 2:21pm
@BitBoySeven - I haven't checked in on this mod for a long while so I can't tell yet, currently somewhere else.
BB7 11 May, 2024 @ 2:20pm
Thanks for the mod by the way.
BB7 11 May, 2024 @ 2:17pm
I have a problem where my pawns are endlessly hauling and putting medullin in their inventory.
Conniday  [author] 31 Aug, 2023 @ 7:53am
@Victor That's strange, I don't think they can use this for recreational purposes. I haven't really checked on this mod in a long time so the best you could do is try editing the XML yourself with notepad..
Victor 31 Aug, 2023 @ 7:04am
Hi, I noticed my pawns injecting this while partying, is there anything you can change to avoid that? I also noticed that during Concerts from I believe VE Empire
Ganymede 30 Mar, 2023 @ 6:20am
No probs, thank you for the response!
Conniday  [author] 30 Mar, 2023 @ 6:18am
@Ganymede

There used to be some mods that allowed you to do that, but it seems the ones I know are broken for 1.4.
I stopped working on this sadly, but it could be something to do with the "CombatDrug" definition that Yayo and Go-Juice have, letting raiders use it..? Dunno!
Ganymede 30 Mar, 2023 @ 6:09am
Hey... uh, I feel a bit odd asking this since it says final rendition above, but, is there a way for this item to pop up with the "consume" button/widget so that my peeps can use it while drafted or while one is carrying it? Or is this already a thing and it's glitching out on my end?
Conniday  [author] 26 Nov, 2022 @ 9:27pm
Hoorah! So I'm not that bad of a coder!
percdemon 26 Nov, 2022 @ 10:03am
@Bonible

That seemed to be the issue, I hadnt changed the policy for them, Thanks for the help, looking forward to using it!
Conniday  [author] 26 Nov, 2022 @ 12:10am
@The One Little E

I don't know about other medicine mods but you might have to set a drug policy before they can pick up the injectors. Happened to me with Vanilla Go-Juice too.
percdemon 25 Nov, 2022 @ 8:54am
Is the Medullin not supposed to be able to be picked up? My soldiers need to go on a mission far away and they cant pick it up to carry in case of an injury.
supersonic 18 Nov, 2022 @ 10:17am
In CE the AI is already built in for raiders to tend to their own wounds, so I am going to look into a way for raiders to spawn with and use these after they take serious damage (at least in CE). Would maybe balance out how strong they are if enemies could also use them, lol
Conniday  [author] 18 Nov, 2022 @ 6:44am
I think there is a variable for RW drugs that makes raiders take them when they spawn, but I don't know if it'll last long enough to last a whole raid. Maybe it'll work if they're drop-podders??
supersonic 18 Nov, 2022 @ 6:12am
Seems a bit overtuned but it is conceptually cool and the art is great. Would be nice if raiders would spawn with and use them but I'm sure that goes beyond the scope of this mod.
Conniday  [author] 18 Nov, 2022 @ 5:54am
Just wait until I make "bandages" :houndeye:
fyrvex 16 Nov, 2022 @ 9:27pm

Stops bleeding?
Conniday  [author] 7 Nov, 2022 @ 7:37am
Well I do not want to over-complicate the recipe. Hmmf!
Thanks for the art feedback though
HexaRaven 7 Nov, 2022 @ 7:10am
3 neutroamine is really cheap, i feel like some herbal medicine and a component would balance much better.

btw the art is really good, feels like it's actually from vanilla
Conniday  [author] 7 Nov, 2022 @ 2:45am
after careful planning i have decided ...
medullin will cost 3 neutroamine no more no less
Adding medicine to the recipe won't make sense!! (it has sutures and splints inside!)
Conniday  [author] 7 Nov, 2022 @ 2:45am
@HexaRaven

This is a Vanilla problem.
You have to set a drug assignment for carrying drugs.
HexaRaven 6 Nov, 2022 @ 5:54pm
I don't seem to be able to pick it up into my inventory, is there something I'm missing?
The Dutchman 6 Nov, 2022 @ 5:53pm
This is perfect
Lucky 6 Nov, 2022 @ 8:40am
I do think it is cheap to make, however any thing else in base game would make it to out of the way to create and be useful so i think ya did a good job!
Conniday  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 8:19am
:pleading_face:
ThePionier 6 Nov, 2022 @ 8:01am
Ohhh, then I didn't say anything. That is of course understandable!
Conniday  [author] 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:59am
@Może wąż I stopped modding PPG 'cause the modding scene there is terrible!

@ThePionier The side effect is that because it induces rapid natural regeneration, it can cause scars more often than competent medicine treatment

@The Blind One
Whaddya think it should be made of then?
ThePionier 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:50am
The mod sounds good! How about if there is a side effect of using it? It's supposed to help that the pawn doesn't die in the field for a short time, if you use the medicine it stresses the body through self-healing that the pawn falls into a coma for a few days?
Hound 6 Nov, 2022 @ 7:40am
O man hey Bonible cool mod didnt know you modded on rimworld. your ppg mods are realyl good
The Blind One 6 Nov, 2022 @ 6:17am
2 neutro and one component really sounds too cheap. That's like 35 silver.

Idea and art are very cool though.
