Ah okay thanks!
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 26 Sep @ 7:25am
I haven't tested at all. It might mostly work. I think 4.1 adds some new pop factions which wouldn't work with parliamentary system without an update.
Aci 26 Sep @ 6:29am
The mod does load in 4.1 for me, does it even need updates? Or does it just load but not actually do anything?
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 22 Sep @ 1:07pm
As previously mentioned in Discord, I will not update this mod to 4.1. If anyone is interested in adopting, please reach out
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 6 Aug @ 10:26am
The trait issues with exalted priesthood have been fixed. Thanks @Nesserino for the report
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 2 Aug @ 10:41pm
yep, I make sure that's all clean after every major or minor version update (eg 4.0, 4.1, etc), but I don't check it for patch versions (4.0.1, 4.0.2) since those usually do not contain any breaking changes for modding
Nesserino 2 Aug @ 10:33pm
np, the error log in the documents folder is your friend!
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 2 Aug @ 10:04pm
well, that's a nice change to put in a hotfix... thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look
Nesserino 2 Aug @ 10:00pm
hey every command that adds a trait for a leader in this mod is bugged because they changed the command from "add_trait = (your trait here)" to "add_trait = { trait = (your trait here) }", most of the events for exhalted priesthood for example are broken and won't even fire because of the compounding errors of this change

recommend you have a look at it
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 11 Jul @ 7:13am
@Robo-Pig they're created by having someone join your faith. You need good relations/trust and they must be spiritualist (or you can fight a liberation war). There's an "edict" to invite others to your faith, and the AI can also request to join on their own
Robo-Pig 9 Jul @ 4:50pm
Hey! I'm curious about when galactic faiths are supposed to spawn when choosing the priesthood
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 17 Jun @ 1:19pm
Thanks, I'll take a look. I think that was working when I updated for 4.0 but there's been a LOT of relatively large patches since then
Husker 17 Jun @ 9:39am
Hi, I really like your mod! I found one bug - in parlamentary system, technologist parlamentarian modifier does not work (the reasercher job does not appear properly, I am guessing since now there are separate jobs)
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 28 May @ 2:51pm
@NoodleWagon currently the bonuses and drawbacks are designed specifically for Exalted Priesthood. Long-term, I'd like to spin this off into a broader religion mod. Short-to-medium-term, I am only maintaining this mod as is.

But note my sharing policy: anyone is free to create and share their own version of this mod
NoodleWagon 28 May @ 2:21pm
could we get imperial cults and death cult civics added to make a country eligible to lead a galactic faith? Likewise with gospel of the masses and corporate death cult for megacorps?
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 16 May @ 11:25am
@Emmanuel DH it hasn't been updated in a long time, so at this point it's mostly English fallbacks. You're welcome to contribute though :)
Emmanuel DH 16 May @ 9:31am
french translation is non existent

@Null 5 see the github link a couple comments down
Null 5 12 May @ 4:12pm
Would it be possible for you to post a legacy version of this for 3.14? It looks cool but I don't want to give up some other mods.
Martok 5 May @ 3:30pm
Danke!
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 5 May @ 3:06pm
@martok No, Exalted Priesthood would mostly work, but Parliamentary System will be very broken.
You can grab the previous version on github here: https://github.com/oatmealproblem/michael-makes-stellaris-mods/tree/1796e8522edb0075a57aae0fca49042049b7c79e
Click the green "Code" button then "Download ZIP" (and google how to manually install Stellaris mods)
Martok 5 May @ 2:44pm
Same question as with your Hyper Relay mod: Is this backwards-compatible with v3.14?
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 5 May @ 11:19am
Updated from 4.0, see the changelog for details
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 18 Mar @ 2:46pm
@Arizona you need the exalted priesthood civic to lead a religion. Any spiritualist can join a religion
The Hallow Jack 18 Mar @ 10:31am
Im still confused on how to start a religion and start all this stuff. is their a certain tech I need or did I need to be fanatic spiritualist instead of spiritualist?
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 27 Feb @ 7:03am
@brickhead I'll look into it
brickhead 27 Feb @ 6:01am
would be nice if the divine council civic thats in bug branch getting the exalted priesthood mechanics too because its just a fanatical spiritualist version of the theocracy civic.

dont know about other forks but in bug branch its just the exact same modifiers but bigger. would be better for my covenant larp

Small update, with some integration with Fatherland: Colonial Empires and a rebalance of the heresy event chain to make it less painful, especially now that leaders are much more important.

- Integration with Fatherland - crusader rogue colonies automatically follow Exalted Priesthood parent's faith
- Rebalance of unorthodoxy/heresy event chain:
- can only happen once per game
- increased time before a planet can become heretical again after removing heretics
- if ecumenical council decides reform
- decreased chance of firing hardliner leaders from 50% to 25%
- if ecumenical council decides reform
- only 50% of unorthodox leaders killed (down from 100%)
- other 50% get arrested development

@卡尔文迪斯梅特 thanks for translating! I added a link in the description
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 1 Feb @ 10:40am
@Gleb Zajarski I just tested, and parliamentary system is working fine for me. Do note from the description "Planets with upgraded capitals hold Parliamentary elections every 10 years." Have you upgraded the capitals on your colonies?

If you're still having issues, you can reach out in the modding den discord (link at the bottom of the mod description)
Gleb Zajarski 26 Jan @ 11:08am
Hello. There is a problem with the parliamentary system civic. The planetary feature "Parliamentary System" simply doesn't appear on colonized planets anymore. It only appears in the Homeworld features, but other planets of the empires don't have any elections. I remember that it wasn't the case before. And I can't even fix it manually. I write "effect add_deposit=d_parliamentary_system" and nothing happens. Can you please fix it? And how can I add it manually on every planet through the console commands?
perl 11 Jan @ 9:06pm
Religion in Exalted Priesthood is such a cool feature
卡尔文迪斯梅特 9 Dec, 2024 @ 4:22am
I made a new Chinese localization translation is here.Could you please add a link?

Oatmeal Problem  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 3:54pm
Thanks for the good idea. I've contacted the Fatherland maintainer about collaborating, so hopefully this will be in a future release, no 3rd party patch or console commands needed ;)
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 3:36pm
If you have issues with the followers leaving the faith soon after joining, try adding trust in the second step:
"effect add_trust = { amount = 100 who = event_target:uncivic_exalted_priesthood_proposed_leader }"
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 3:33pm
@Danwar you can try to do this manually with console commands.

Playing as your country who will be the leader with no windows open, enter "effect save_global_event_targetas = uncivic_exalted_priesthood_proposed_leader"

Then switch to the country you want to be follower, and enter "effect uncivic_exalted_priesthood_become_follower = yes"
Do this for as amny countries as you need

When you're done, "effect clear_global_event_target = uncivic_exalted_priesthood_proposed_leader"
Danwar 25 Sep, 2024 @ 12:28pm
It'd be neat if this mod's mechanics for Exalted Priesthood could be combined with Fatherland Colonial Empires to allow for Crusader States to start out already following your faith. (Not necessarily aimed at the dev; if someone could make a compatch that does that it'd be good too.)
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 9:22am
No problem. As with all my mods, feel free to repurpose any of my script. Credit and a link back is appreciated if you do so
Ranger 13 Aug, 2024 @ 7:29am
@MichaelMakesGames Awesome thanks! Thinking of making a democracy overhaul and that is super helpful.
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:27am
@Ranger you would need to replace all my uses of "has_valid_civic = civic_parliamentary_system" with a different trigger that checks for auth. That'll get you most of the way there and would be easy.

Additionally, you might want to change my government reform logic to avoid a minor edgecase (when a government removes the parliamentary civic, all their planet parliamentarian modifiers will be removed, but you'd want that tied to authority, not the civic). That's a little more complicated though, so might not be worth the trouble.
Ranger 11 Aug, 2024 @ 11:56am
@MichaelMakesGames How hard would it be to tie the planetary to democratic/oligarchic instead of just the parliamentary system?
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 8:32pm
Updated for 3.12
This includes a minor content update: support for Parliamentarians from the new cybernetic creed factions
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 18 Mar, 2024 @ 9:28am
@Ozzymandeus for now, I'm still just keeping the mod up-to-date with Stellaris. If I expand the religion mechanics, there will for sure be something for Gospel of the Masses
REDbeard 18 Mar, 2024 @ 2:30am
Hi, I'm not sure if you're gonna keep updating this mod or still planning to make another mod, but either way if you have time I think it would be cool if the Galactic Faith effects from Exalted Priesthood applied to the corporate Gospel of the Masses Civic.

I really hope you continue with this mod or at least your ideas in the future.
Nesserino 7 Jan, 2024 @ 6:29pm
@MichaelMakesGames. nvm I'm stupid carry on o7
Nesserino 7 Jan, 2024 @ 11:54am
@MichaelMakesGames, Hi, I'm the friend in question from the comment below. I was wondering if you could perhaps double check that GIT if you have the backup files available at all? for example the governments folder in common appears to be missing or otherwise displaced, Cheers!
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 3 Jan, 2024 @ 8:24am
Absolutely

Not sure if you're familiar with git. I have a git repo with the full history of my mods. This commit has the most recent 3.9 version of Uncivic: https://github.com/MichaelMakesGames/michael-makes-stellaris-mods/tree/b03372ed6d472a4a971b8c7839c719449df246f8

I'm happy to answer any questions about the code. Reach out in discord
Sex Defender 3 Jan, 2024 @ 8:08am
Hey, just curious to see if you or anyone else still has copies of the older version of the mod with the other three removed civics. Had a lot of fun with those, wanted to know if we had your grace for a buddy of mine to try and scrap those discarded mechanics and try to revamp them for 3.10!
Mystery_Shaman 11 Dec, 2023 @ 8:05pm
Thank you!
Oatmeal Problem  [author] 11 Dec, 2023 @ 5:04pm
@The Father I just checked, and bug branch does not actually remove Exalted Priesthood, but it renames it Theocracy. If you select Theocracy, the mechanics from this mod will be active.

For starting a Galactic Faith, you can use the edict "Invite to Galactic Faith" to invite other empires to your faith (and see their reasons for accepting or rejecting). Other empires can also ask to join your faith. Additionally, if you win an ideology war, you be prompted with an option to force the loser to join your faith (this also applies to new empires created by an ideology war status quo).
