Now I'd need to test it for 60 turns at least to make sure nothing pop up, but I lack the time. Maybe in the coming days.
There is no version with only the units, the script light version has fewer events tho.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3305117622
I'll -try- to make an unit only patch, there's so much piece in there that I might hit a wall somewhere as I don't know how he coded his stuff. But it'll have duplicates lords/heroes when used with the faction submod since they'll all be added to the 3 vanilla faction.
i just want to play the game normally with new units and lords, i don't want to play the "Story mode" or whatever of this mod
is this in the settings somewhere to turn this off?
I'll take the compliment, but I am only the translator lol. Do throw your praise at the chinese mod so the actual author can see it, he can read english.
From these mods I guess that the SFO patch is old or outdated? Can you try disabling all of the SFO mod and submods and try to launch again? Also, I see that there's several older SFO patch, maybe one of these is more updated than others?
Because I can launch a campaign with all of Mixu's mods, walk with the dragon+faction+english+reskin, and the Roar of the Jade sea mod you mentioned in the other mod comment.
Checked, and the result is that the "Terracotta Sentinel" category only apply to Terracotta Sentinel and all of his mods Big Single Entity while the Terracotta Automatons are classified as infantry. So it doesn't even include the 2 vanilla lions. The Summon the Sculptor item gives a vanilla buff that only affect the Terracotta Sentinel category. He should have made his own buff using his custom category which includes all of the constructs and only them.
The buff description also specify "terracotta soldiers" not "automatons". But yeah, confusing, I'll fix that by replacing soldiers with sentinels since its only them.
The automatons are properly affected by buff calling "Terracotta Constructs" like the skill Sculpting Eyes on Statues, and they are affected by the "melee infantry" buffs. So things are fine on that side.
And to specify, the Yi Cha Jungle Fighters are from the Yin Yin mod, not Walk with the Dragon. I'll take a look at the Terracota Automaton, might also be a mistranslation of the ability.
For example, Saytang buffs ALL constructs except that anti infantry Terracota Automatons.
"Summon the Sculptors" of Qiao Xiao says +30 armor for all Terracota Automatons, but ignores the unit which is named Terracota Automatons. Very weird, it looks like it was some new unit that was just forgotten at some point.
I assume you forgot the faction submod xD .
But yes, if you use the Yin Yin mod it'll steal Zhao Qi's faction, but you can still recruit her. The Marienburg mod take a unrelated settlement unless that changed recently.
I started a campaign (mixu unlocker+base mod+faction) with his faction, clicked on him, started the first battle and clicked on him on during several times during said battle with no crash.
Are you using any Walk with the Dragon submods like no cap patch, sfo/radious like patches, the script light version, individual Walk with the Dragon reskin mod, etc?
Miao Ying will unlock the Wardens units in her exclusive quests, otherwise they must be unlocked by selecting the 7500 gold in the repeating support event. If you confederate them later without doing that event you'll miss them I think. The Sky-Junk Fleet can only be used if the unit survive the Battle of the Terracota Graveyard event battle, and you'll only ever have that one unit.
@cristi77.iasi
Yuan Bo has a lot of events to juggle with in that jungle.
Thank you, I will certainlly give it a try. Hope to save the decaying Cathay as Yuan Bo
This mod cause random increased campaign map crash. There's no reason, magical solution or fix found, or else it would have been fixed. I was able to reach turn 60+ with this mod with little to no crash while testing with a minimal mod list, bigger mod list increased crash frequency.
The best help is using mods that reduce campaign map forced camera movement. Like these:

I play Warhammer with a lot of mods and I thought the problem was some mod incompatibility, it happens sometimes. But recently I analyze the crash reports and appear to be some problem with DLSS option or DirectX. This is what I found, but I don't understand it:
Access violation (c0000005) - Attempt to write to memory address 0000000068a62000
Type: INVALID_POINTER_WRITE
I searched the Internet for various solutions, but nothing works. Any ideea what is happening?
These should be in your ROR pool without any quest requirement. I just launched the game, started a campaign as Miao Ying and I see them from turn 1 no issue.
Can could attempt to launch to the game with only Deer24's unit mod+mixu's unlocker+the translation and see if you see them too in turn 1?
Regiments of Renown
Cathayan Warriors
Clan Guards
Guard of the Radiant Empress
Blackshade Battalion
Quai Yin's Will
Heavenly King of Zhufu
Golden Crow Guardians
Heavenly King of Duanwang
Heavenly King of Wenchen
Grand Northern Cavalry
Dragon River Ancestral Monks (Forbidden Army)
Heavenly King of Shipeng
After completing various battles, I have been told that these RoR are unlocked however, when I check the RoR recruitment pool, they are nowhere to be found. Can someone enlighten me on this issue? Much thanks cheers.
From experience, a swap in faction leader (Zhao Qi -> Yin Yin) cause no issue. At worst Duan Wei will be wounded for a few turns and some localization might be overwritten if there is any.
I think that it might cause a Duan Wei duplicate during the nurgle invasion as it kill the Burning Nomads leader and spawn an army elsewhere with a new Duan Wei, but if he doesn't lead the faction then the first one doesn't get deleted and LYH's does instead.
Walk with the Dragon work with basically every faction mods I know (those mentioned in my description are just those that directly impact the mod). I don't think one even starts in Cathay.
First incomplete draft of the event list, took several hours and I am tired. Will improve readability and finish the Yuan Bo and Miao Ying side of things later...

Ehhhhhhhhhhh, would not be hard, but a tedious and long process, there's over 160 events to crosscheck. I might make a simplified "spoiler" chart I guess?
From memory, all "vassal" events also offer confederation as an option, and that option doesn't return. I think it might unlock the normal confederation so if they stop being your vassal you could confed them like any faction, but I don't know how the actual mechanics works.
The main mod doesn't work on multiplayer, it constantly look for the player to trigger stuff and if there is 2 players it get confused and break.
In theory, the lite version should work as it has no script IIRC. Tho I don't play multiplayer so I cannot test it. And I still need to tweak it, as many localization keys were changed in the Base mod so this translation mod doesn't fully match every keys of the Script-light version.
@Laserdrea
If you've done a non Yuan Bo/Celestial Loyalist campaign, you might remember an event chain about them being at odds and nearly/start a war. It's that, from Yuan Bo's perspective.
A summary:
He receives news that the celestial court is changing, that more and more ministers/courtiers support the mortal Yun Xiang (the gold faction leader) than him or other dragons. Moreover, there seems to be mishandling of information reported to him from them. You have 2 choices:
-Just keep a look, it stop the chain and you'll get the normal confederation event later like everyone else.
-Take control.
Taking control will put you at odd with the Celestial Loyalist faction, but you'll gain buff to show your control over cathay's governement. But you'll get a very worrying report later that a coup is in the way, to cut Yuan Bo off and consolidate their power behind Yun Xiang. You have 2 choices again:
-Take no action and gather more information. This will cause your crowmen to find and capture traitors, with fake reports about the situation. There was no coup but the plot from the Changeling to create chaos in Cathay.
-Take action ASAP, which trigger a war between you and the celestial loyalist, giving you both a lot of armies right by Wei-Jin.
Taking no action offer less reward but has no risk.
Some details, if possible? I prolly wouldn't be able to start a whole new campaign, but I am still intensively curious about new story content, lol.
Found a replacement, swapped the link in the description.
Thanks, I did my best to translate the mod since it's my favorite Cathayan mod too.
About Jun Xian, he is in a very difficult position, specially if you use Jade Vampire mods. Could he possibly be wounded in your lord pool? I just tried it myself with the console mod. Killed him, force confederated, and he's in the lord tab, or on the field if I didn't kill him first.
The only characters you could miss are the Legendary Lords which start unrecruited, which are:
Guan Zimo, the Little Dragonling (Zhao Ming)
Xen Qi, the New Martial Marquis (Zhao Ming)
Xue Ding, the Riverlands Guardian (Yuan Bo)
Qiao Xiao, the Forge Master (Miao Ying)
If the AI didn't recruit them by the time you confed their faction, they are gone.
