Update: I tested it and I think it is working right. In the units page after the battle it only shows the cost of one unit in the entire call in for the player side, so its does make sense that the enemy, who calls in units one at a time, has "more mp"

The first 1 or 2 battles did feel somewhat equal, but recently the battles seem to be loopside pointwse. After the match I checked the units section (tells you the mp cost of each call in stage). The enemy had multiple call in stages and in total their mp was vastly larger than mine. Is that just a bug and no actually representative of the actual mp cost, or does this mean the mod isn't actually working?

I think CaptArcticWolf's idea is good. Lower for high diff and raise for low diff.

community poll: should i update/change the resources you get in light of the new conquest update? since you can take your units, technology level (i think) and resources (i think) with you to the next campaign should i lower all of the rewards?

ai will have equal units to you and each unit/vehicle has a certain "value" or whatever you want to call it. so if you have a massive army, the ai will also have a massive army. if you have high "value" units like massive artillery pieces then the ai will have that "value" to spend, which could be on some massive tank, huge artillery piece or a bunch of highly trained infantry.

conversely, if you have an army of only two squads of soldiers the enemy presence will also be about that light.

also in regards to x, y or z mod i do not know if it works because i dont use other mods (except gore, everything stays, remove censorship etc) although i did try it with some mod for hotmod called something 82. as long as the mod doesnt mess with the files for conquest and it has the data for the tech tree/units to recruit etc theres no reason why it shouldnt work with any random mod.

yes. it even works after the latest update from yesterday.

thats the default defense composition using default accuracy. ai defenders get at riflemen for sure at level 2 defense, maybe even level 1. i forget. if you attack a 3 star objective the defenders arent 3 star (that depends on the ai tech level) but the reinforcements are. either way your criticism is valid and im going to tone rewards down a little in the next update (and possibly the multiplier for 2/3 star battles).

this will be updated soon (likely today) for the new conquest features to balance it out against being able to keep your units and tech level when starting a new operation.

Hey, this mod is so awesome, never had this good experience in Conquest.
I'm playing USA dynamic conquest against Germany and I feel like watching a good WWII movie.
Sure I have more casualties,but nothing crazy, feels real.

bro i get it, its a difficulty tweek, bro fr? dont even attempt to do crap in 3 star. AT-Riflemen AI Obliterate everything in sight like they got steroids. not very balanced considering they also target infantry to instantly wipe veteran infantry squads and light tanks. dont even get me started on other units in 3-star diff. if you want to fight god then use this mod.

well infantry are using nerf darts but nothing else so that's a thing. interesting mod will try more stuff.

stupid question but can you make a possible mod that just gives you more resources and more points to spawn units in? the only stuff i can find is like "hey you won a battle here's 8k of everything and tiger 2's right off the bat!" instead of here's enough to add a lot more to and repair your roster keep it up and maybe you can have late stage by day 15 which is what i'm looking for, i don't want to have to dedicate and entire stage to a single tank and a medic because the costs are so ridiculously high and the slot amount stupidly tiny that 5 infantry squads caps it out.

probably making no sense but i hope this could be a possibility

@Mad Jap i'll try to tease the game into getting that to happen since i also like things more granular with infantry and not a bunch of tanks and static weapons just hammering things constantly. its a little tricky though because thats not hardcoded in. ai make their own decisions with what to buy and sometimes might prefer buying just 1 tank as opposed to a ton of infantry if they can afford it. i'll do some experiments though.

It is working good with latest patches and all. But for the sake of being more realistic, I still think we need to have less tanks and artilhery, but that's my personal bit :)

yeah, you're telling me. in the code is something outrageous, like ai having 3 times or more units than you can ever have. they also get so much mp they can just spawn them in instantly. i couldnt tolerate that after playing something like dcg for men of war. i set out on a mission to fix it the best i could since i love the realism of this game and want to enjoy that, not just set up 5 flak 88s and hope for the best as the forces of mordor descend on my little zone.

pretty good mod, but it gives out WAY too much of everything except research points, day 8 germany with my strongest vehicles being late pz.3's, marders and the baguette lobber but i've got 8000 supply 60 of the support star thingies and 6000 moolahs

the ai difficulty setting affects health/accuracy of units and nothing else. normally if you set ai to heroic their units will have more health and better accuracy than your units, even if youre using the same exact units. for example your soldier might die from one rifle shot while theirs might take two or even three.

this seemed kind of silly/lazy to me so i made it fair across the board. no matter what difficulty setting youre on units on both sides should have no health/accuracy buffs or debuffs. as long as its the same exact unit it should have the same exact stats no matter who controls it.

its to get you started so youre not starting with just a couple of units with no medics or ammo boxes. youll burn through it pretty fast since the economy is a little different so spend it wisely.

amazing, I always found it so absurd how the AI casually brings 19 vehicles and 10 artillery pieces 6 infantry squads, while I have 3 tanks and 3 emplacements and 3 infantry squads LMAO

I love this mod! Thank you. It makes Conquest much less a massive zerg rush from AI, and helps my PC maintain good frame rates, too. The higher rewards for research also help unlock more things, keeping pace with the AI's technology over time. I loved how it worked with my existing campaign, too.
One question though.. How does AI difficulty, set at the start of a campaign, work in your mod with each battle?

Hi, likely an obvious question that I couldn't confirm, but my friend and I are wanting to play a co-op conquest - does this work for co-op matches in the dynamic campaign?

yes, only conquest is affected. thats what the "dynamic_campaign" folder is. in other gamemodes this will only perform its other function: making both ai and player units have the same health/speed/accuracy/etc.

I will do more test. I did some game with AI - 1 vs 2 / 1 vs 1
I think the ratio player/AI could play as well for units spawning with the payback mechanism
