back playing your mod :) , so there was this mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1786095925
adding a living planet that would eat other planets to increase its own size and districts. Now somehow this seems something a terravor race would do, consume other planets to make its own planets bigger and better. If you still look for some idears that would be something i think would be neat to have. With such an origin or civic, maybe by eating planets one could get at times a choice to also get the modiviers from that planet. Which then would be an awsome thing to be compatible with Guilli's Planet Modifiers and Districts ... accumulating more and more special modifiers and disctricts .... *mind blown* =) anyways back to omnomnom

I figured it out, was being crossed by Ethics & Civics: Bug Branch.
Zetal  [author] 9 Apr, 2023 @ 3:34am
@cpu4 The description should be different, it should automate the process, and selecting the Decision should create a new decision for cancelling the consumption process. If none of this is happening there's possibly some installation issue, a mod conflict, or an update issue.
cpu4 8 Apr, 2023 @ 4:17pm
@Zetal When I look at the list of planetary decisions, I just see the normal "Consume World" decision. After it finishes running, it does not automagically continue processing the world. Is there a different one that should be showing up? Thanks!
Zetal  [author] 19 Mar, 2023 @ 5:48am
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the testing!
Gerglagagerk 18 Mar, 2023 @ 8:15pm
It worked. I tried to replicate it with a few dozen worlds, works fine again. Cheers.
Zetal  [author] 18 Mar, 2023 @ 9:46am
Unfortunately since I can't seem to replicate the issue, I've just tried to fix it blind. I just upload version 1.2, which will hopefully fix this? I think it's some edge-case related to Odd/Even numbers of districts maybe... Either way, let me know if V1.2 helps.
Gerglagagerk 17 Mar, 2023 @ 7:40pm
Okay, I disabled every mod to test this, and I hate you for reminding me what stellaris looks like without my UI and graphics mods. It used to consume every district slot that can be used till zero and cracked the planet. Now, its available districts, so if there's a city district built, the available district slots become zero, so it stops consuming, even though there's still a district left to be consumed. If consume doesn't destroy the final built district, it stops completely.
Zetal  [author] 17 Mar, 2023 @ 5:40pm
Okay, I just investigated and I was unable to reproduce the issue. As far as I can tell, planets that are completely consumed are cracked. Do you have the new DLC installed? Do you have any other mods installed?
Zetal  [author] 17 Mar, 2023 @ 2:44am
Dang. I'll try to look into it this weekend.
Gerglagagerk 16 Mar, 2023 @ 9:37pm
The patch borked it. Planets now get down to 0 districts, stop consuming and the planet stays instead of cracks.
Alixtria 14 Nov, 2022 @ 10:49pm
could you maybe make this destroy the planets when they hit zero districts? maybe add a win condition of devouring the whole galaxy/all planets
Manst 23 Jul, 2022 @ 6:25am
Finally! Hoorray for automatically eating planets, thanks you! Prabably the best single mod in this workshop, screw gigastructures, they don't make playing terravores not a pain the ass!
But could I ask you to make the automation part a different mod from the buffed rewards? I enjoy the QoL but the extra resources are a bit too much for me.
Hydallan 19 Jun, 2022 @ 8:44am
Thank you so much for this mod. I recently discovered the joy of eating planets, and the auto feature was sorely needed!
kinngrimm 17 Jun, 2022 @ 5:21pm
i'll keep a look out
Zetal  [author] 17 Jun, 2022 @ 12:00pm
Just uploaded a patch that SHOULD fix the issue with creating pops during colonization, but I'm not sure since I can't reproduce the issue. Hopefully doesn't happen again?
kinngrimm 17 Jun, 2022 @ 10:46am
special project marker
the yellow exclemation marks in brackets.
strangely enough , when i settled the planet for the second time, right after it was settled it was complettly consumed, i havent yet been able to replicated it another time, but i am looking out for another opportunity, it netted me an additional 10+ pops =)
Zetal  [author] 17 Jun, 2022 @ 8:30am
@kinngrimm When you say 'special project market' what do you mean specifically? At least I can fix the consumption running during colonization issue.
kinngrimm 16 Jun, 2022 @ 5:07pm
I like this a lot. A few observations i made sofar.
When you consume a planet which has a special project marker on it, than i the planet seems not to be destroyed, instead i could send a colonyship and settle there again. During the colonization process the consumption function still runs in the background, so that after 2 cycles i see 4 pops on the planet ... even though the colonization isn't even done yet. That i think is not quite as it should be :)

Should you ever get this to work with all celestial objects, then i would definetly suggest to tune down the ressource gain again. Either i had a really good start, will do another run afterwards maybe, but decreasing alloy and minerals by 15% should still be suffifient and as i said even more should you get this to work with all uncolonizable planets.
Zetal  [author] 10 Jun, 2022 @ 1:09pm
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
MrCrispyClone 10 Jun, 2022 @ 6:34am
It works perfect now. Great job
Zetal  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 1:18pm
Should be fixed now.
Zetal  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 3:00am
Alright so I lied, I took a quick look at it this morning. I uploaded something I THINK might fix it, but I haven't tested it at all, so I'll take a more indepth look when I get home.
Zetal  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 2:42am
Ah, hmm. I'll look into that today after work.
MrCrispyClone 8 Jun, 2022 @ 6:56pm
But other than that its been exactly what was needed for terravore.
MrCrispyClone 8 Jun, 2022 @ 6:56pm
Yeah ive seen this issue as well
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:58pm
similar/same effect on the second consumed world now, district overview max districts at -1 and decisions is denied becasue tehre would be more then 0 districts
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:43pm
The area for the district overview tells me i got 0 (+15 from size, -15 from features)
then again, not sure that this is even the issue why it stops
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:41pm
there are still districts shown of other types, energy, mineral, food, greyed out though and none whatsoever are shown for hive and forge
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:40pm
One issue i just encountered.
The timer went through a few times, then stoped and i can't reengage him.
It tells me there are more than 0 districts, yet when looking at the planet, there are not even any hive or foundry disctricts shown, less than 0 so to speak.
Zetal  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 5:08pm
Yes-- insofar as the number of districts a planet has is generally determined by planet size, and you can only consume a planet until it runs out of districts.
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 4:40pm
Does vanilla make a differance in terms of planet size, how often one could take a bite out of the planet before it is complettly consumed?
MrCrispyClone 8 Jun, 2022 @ 4:15pm
Love it. Gonna try it now :P Screw sleep
Zetal  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 3:54pm
I can certainly look into it. Thanks!
kinngrimm 8 Jun, 2022 @ 3:25pm
noice :) thanks for this.
i will give it a try right away

have thought about making other objects in space consumable? like barren, toxic, magma, anything that terravor could not colonize, but still would see as a snack for the way.
