When only this mod is active (together with Enhanced Mod Manager), it shows like this:
https://imgur.com/a/VuhIz0t
However, it appears to be just a UI issue and does not affect the actual gameplay.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could fix this.
I have added more great people types (great sovereign, diplomat, etc) to Real Great People (UI) on my local version, which I found isn't compatible with this mod (it shows the basic 5 and stops at scientist). I'm not sure where RGP is referenced in your files, or if there is a workaround I can do to show the other great people in the "overview" section of RGP.
See here https://imgur.com/a/DatF6IK
I tested with and without Extended Diplomacy Ribbon using the hotkey that disables the ribbons, both ended identical results.
PS If you click on any leader icon during this animation, the game will soft-lock and you will have to reload from main menu.
And ye for now i made a note to remind me how to fix it in case this mod gets a new update and overwrites the .modinfo again.
And don't stress about it, there is a workaround that works, would just be nice to have it "update proof", but not worth it if its much work.
It is not simple when considering that DCP/HSE, Grand Eras and Real Eurekas all change the same civics/tech tree files. I have to basically merge or include all relevant code fragments from all affected mods in a single file, while considering compatibility with different game rules (base / R&F / GS).
So if you use Hide Stats Evolved and apply the same fix, you wouldn't be masking civics/tech tree leader icons anymore.
In some rare cases the merge is not possible because the mods conflict too much, for example for CUI and CQUI.
I guess it is too much to ask if its possible to include Grand Eras compatibility is it?
The right way to do it is to remove lines containing "CivicsTree", "TechTree", "CivicsTree_Expansion1", etc. from ..\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\2471091953\HideStatsEvolvedCompatibility.modinfo. There are 31 lines to remove.
An easier but dirty fix is to remove .lua files matching the "*tree*" string in the mod folder.

Is there any way this can be resolved?
If it would help, i can share screen and show things (discord or so), i would be open for it!
added Better Leader Icon
https://files.catbox.moe/7jf9vf.png
Left is with and right is without EDR, in both cases cant see the relationship thing
the '? portraits' are fine, might be a multiplayer thing
and yes, the issue persists over turns
start of game, all relationships show properly, but suddenly it stops showing. at times it shows for some and not for others
this isnt a major issue, but i am studying Civ VI and the relationship system to understand how it works to convert and implement in my own game, so would be awesome to have it working all the time
I have seen in some cases bizarre behavior coming from the game engine related to when the leader tooltip is updated. If you advance a few turns, is it still there? Can you try with the Better Leader Icon mod?
these are all my mods
https://files.catbox.moe/3wowqd.png
the ones not in the list dont affect the leaders at all like TopPanelExtensionPro
there was a workshop update before launching today and no difference, sadly
@Molten Ice I added an option (Options -> Key Bindings) to disable this feature in-game.
@Zontromm
1. Inconsistant diplomatic text issues have been fixed a long time ago. Are you using any mods not in the list? Do you still have the issue with the latest update?
2. There is a feature of EDR that shows relationships between one civilization and others when you over with middle click active / Ctrl pressed. Not a bug, but it was in Hide Stats Evolved where I fixed the issue.
1. the following images shows that the relationship info appears for some leaders and not for others
https://files.catbox.moe/k542cw.png
https://files.catbox.moe/tuygrd.png
2. when middle clicked (ctrl-click) on a potrait, it also shows unknown civs and their strategic/luxury resources
any solution for the two? or is it intended beheviour?
Here's my Modding.log file, Lua.log file, a save for the Kongo game I was using to test this, and a video showcasing the bug.

Basically, you can see it replicated in the third image of this mod page :)
By default, you can't see the ribbon on that page, but as you can see with it enabled poor Joao's hat gets hidden :D
Can you also try the previous versions locally?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kEN8K-xeKKG83TXYiOQQ1tmSKNHlq6uJ/view
To do so:
- Extract them in ..\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods
- When trying a different version, make sure to delete the old directory before extracting a new one
- Deactivate the workshop version of the mod in the mod list
- Activate the local version of the mod in the mod list
And tell me at which version it stops working.
I am not sure seeing it would be useful, please send me:
- Logs: Modding.log, Lua.log (in ..\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Logs)
- A couple screenshots
- A savegame
There seems some kind of weird interaction with other mods but it is hard to figure out which and why without being able to reproduce it. I didn't change Quick Deals directly or affected trade panels.
This might some kind of weird edge case that it was working because there was a bug, and by fixing it this issue popped up.
I mostly need the logs, but if you can figure out which mod is interfering by exclusion, this would be really helpful.
@ayfen This error should now be fixed. When I did the first major update I resync'd the compatibility files with the original mods and there was a minor difference in Quick Deals files, so I mirrored the change. I still cannot reproduce the issue, but that hopefully was the problem. I think it was a workaround I made a long time ago that I just re-added.
There is one more issue when using DCP + Extended Diplomacy Ribbon.
* for each leader it shows wrong pop value, showing for it the same value as the number of cities
@ayfen I am not sure what you mean, I wasn't able to reproduce the error. I need a screenshot and lua logs to help you. What you are describing sounds like a conflict with another mod, are you using mods not in the list?
hope you can fix it, thanks
After the update, I got a bug that doesn't show a great great person score.
I finally managed to fix all errors that were reported to me! I didn't have time to add compatibilities to more mods, unfortunately, but I may be able to do those eventually. Some people kept giving away Steam points and it gave me some motivation :) Anyway, have fun! This was really hard to fix. There is visible player information in many, many different places. With some luck I'll manage to continue updating the other mods I made.
It's the Better Spectator Mod (BSM) and it updates the Ribbon and breaks everything if another mod exists that updates the ribbon :(
If show yields in HUD ribbon is set to always on, you get a wall of text saying tes0, test1 etc. even when not spectating.
