Heyo, i am trying to figure out how to post mods to workshop... do i need my bank deets to post them or? this is complicated for me... Otherwise it is a straight copy and paste of the text in this file then just inject it into the current mod... I might need some help.

I fixed up the mod a bit through some trial and error, adding automated crafting tech that allows you to make constructs that have repairing arms, and constructs that can craft, and some etc aspects that i think would make for a good dungeon core, such as absorb, the core is still stationary. I also buffed the crafting abilities of the dungeon core to 80, allowing it alone to craft the more difficult tier constructs. Here's the thing, IDK if i should post the revision for fear of stepping on the toes of the author of this mod =[

Automated Production doesn't exist, so it is impossible to produce anything stronger than iron gear, makes scaling against endgame threats quite annoying if not impossible

Why do you only get automotons and golems/dolls? How do I get literally anything else to immigrate?

The automatons were implemented and working in previous versions. I have not checked it against the more recent updates. It's very likely something broke, or something with the automatons changed and needs fixed.

While I'm at it: for automata with heads/gear slots, how do I equip the gear itself? They have the slots, but can't pick up gear and can't be assigned available gear from the menu.

Not clear on levelling; am I missing a way to level, or is there no levelling for the core intentionally? (I have no offensive spells, so can't make kills with the core, but it seemingly can level). I thought maybe bookcases, but there's no training option in the menu.

It should be updated & uploaded now. At a quick test I don't notice any issues beyond that it appears you can't 'push' the Keeper anymore with your minions. A new issue with the latest 1.0 release, maybe?

Gonna see if I can't get Mazu to add me on as a co-developer for the workshop, that way I can fix everything for this instead of having to fix my re-uploaded mod again

@Lisento - if you're good with finding that kind of stuff, I can keep the mod updated and at least playable. I can handle the steam-side if you can handle the file stuff . I've actually already re-uploaded the mod once myself, so I know how to handle the workshop stuff

I literally just bought this game because I wanted to play something similar to a book I'm reading & it was the closest thing I could find. Then I check out mods & this one is exactly what I was looking for in a game when I found KeeperRL...

Even if this isn't active anymore it proves it can be done with this game as a base, so thanks. :)

Created steps!

Find your workshop folder in the SteamLibrary and open this folder:
"...steamapps\workshop\content\329970\2262230383"

1. Update the Alpha36 to Alpha37 in the version_info.txt file

2. In the keeper_creatures.txt file update the following:
a. After tribe alignment add a line with: villainGroups = { LAWFUL_KEEPER LAWFUL_COTTAGES }
b. Before creatureId add: baseName = "Reborn"

3. In the spells.txt:
a. For all lines with "sound = nnn" wrap the name in quotes.
sound = "SPELL_TELEPORT"

4. In the creatures.txt:
a. On line 32 change MELEE to DAMAGE
b. On line 33 change SPELL to SPELL_DAMAGE

5. In the spell_schools.txt:
a. On line 1 change SPELL to SPELL_DAMAGE

6. In your KeeperRL>mods folder, create a folder named "Reborn"

7. Copy ALL of the files and folders from the Steam workshop folder 329970\2262230383 into the "Reborn" folder.

8. Turn on the game and activate the mod. You should see a "Reborn" option in the list of game modes!

Thats because its not completely updated. You have to go into the mod, open the keeper_creatures.txt document and change it to whats needed in the curren version.
after you did you will get a similar reaction about another .txt and so on.

I'm getting an odd bug. I followed @[IHB] Jonathan on how to get this to work, however it comes up with the following:

"Error reading player creature definitions; keeper_creatures.txt: Line 22: Column -115: Field "villainGroups" not present."

@IvanCGray: you have to put the mod into: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KeeperRL\mods\
you find it in:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\329970\2262230383
and have to update it, unless it gets updated in the workshop

@ARCHTOP: Sorry lad, I'm not sure what you're experiencing. Make sure you're subscribed, restarted Steam, and see if any other mods are doing the same for you.

@Preacher: Happy to hear that, man! I update my mods in my freetime and whenever I get the urge to play the game again. I'm feeling the itch, but please don't expect any updates anytime soon.

Hilariously, it can sometimes be as simple as a single line of code - but not always. I'll let you guys know whenever I do get around to updating. Thanks!

I understand upgrading it isn't as easy as just changing a line of code but I miss playing as a sentient rock.

Was fun, but not being able to recruit prisoners or do much other than golems is kinda dull

@Misileasdw: That's a base mechanic of KeepersRL. You'll select one of your minions and should see an option to 'posses' or control them (can't remember the exact phrasing.)

Moving the keeper town Z-levels can be a bit tricky. Make sure to use turn-based mode and once your Keeper is on the level you want, you may want to use teleport if you don't have a second minion handy to push them off the stairs.

Hi folks. I've just pushed a new updated through, but testing on it has been limited so feel free to let me know if you run into any issues (while it is the only mod you have installed.)

This update introduces Rune Crafting, a combination of your Earth Manipulation and Magic Knowledge abilities.

Use them to create even better defenses to support your fragile Core body!

Really cool idea, hope this gets updated. I feel like it gets stale due to you can only become so strong as said below. Would love to see an update tho.
