The gear start changing too early wich causes the wheels to slip.

Check if all gear ratios are correct, and make sure the engine has enough power for higher gears.

I believe i have everything connected correctly, but i am facing a problem where it runs fine in neutral, first, second (where it reaches 29mph top speed) and then the engine immediately stalls and cannot run with gears 3 4 or 5. Any idea on what could be causing that?

Insert an extra gearbox between the torque meter and wheels, and adjust its gear ratio.

How would i adjust the ratio to get 29mph top speed, or any certain speed? It seems a bit dumb to randomly change ratios until a speed is reached (which i have not yet achieved)

Make sure you connected the RPS node from the torque meter, installed after the 4-th gearbox.

it generally does not seem to work, even though it seems set up correctly. I am unable to get it to shift when in auto, even though the RPS well exceeds its shifting point

no matter what I try with any of my vehicles, there's always too much wheel spin due to the transmission, causing the wheels to spin into a burnout. The only way to fix it is by limiting the power output through the clutch, but it has to be limited so much that my max speed always ends up being a crawl.

I really like this transmission, the setup is compact but highly versatile. I would like if it had a built in clutch controller though.

All gears and reverse works fine, the low gear has indicator value of 2 instead of 1.

Make sure all gearboxes and torque meter are assembled and oriented in correct order.

Engine can stall if the torque load is too high even on first gear, although its overall gear ratio is 0.14 . Anyway, check that the directions and ratios of all gearboxes are correct.

i put this on a car im reworking and when i put it in gear and put the clutch to 1, the engine slows down until it stalls, maybe the OFF Ratios are still not well enough geared down? any alternative gear ratios you know of?

It is an optional node for indicationg the current mode or gear, you can left it unconnected.

Fixed, also clutch value should be 1 during acceleration in order to shift gears correctly.

This is the controller only for the set of gearboxes, and it dont have the clutch control since it may depends on preferences of car handling. You may use other controller for the clutch, or just connect the ws seat axis to it.

It is only the gearbox controller without a clutch or brakes, and the gear ratio at N is similar to the ratio of first gear. So, add the clutch which disengages at N. Also you may use my full-fledged car drive controller having all basic features.

Did you set the correct gear ratio on the 4-th gearbox and switch the gear shifting buttons to the push mode?
