@Hadesinferno1 - While I know that the regular sand storm effects from my Alien Weather mod tend to look black, Mars should be orange, so I don't know what could be causing your issue.

If you want me to look into this further, please report it on the GitHub page I recently established. You can find the link in the mod description above.

Did you make sure the ashtray didn't burn?
Hadesinferno1 2 Jun, 2020 @ 9:35pm
This does now work At all! ... :\ just black smoke all over the screen
Darian Stephens 10 May, 2020 @ 3:01am
It doesn't matter if you use it before or after removing the mod; the command is vanilla.
You just need creative tools on to use it.
ZettDeEff 10 May, 2020 @ 1:15am
@Skallabjorn - Before removing the mod, make shure so use this chat command
In-Game: /weather Clear.

That's all.
Skallabjorn 9 May, 2020 @ 3:57pm
Is there a way to turn off the weather before removing the mod?
YoshiWoof22  [author] 28 Apr, 2020 @ 1:07am
@Stal - I'm unable to see if that's a joke or actually serious. If it is serious, explain your problem with more detail please.
rodskaeg 27 Apr, 2020 @ 8:32pm
it wont stop HELP IT WONT STOP IT WONT STOP AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ZettDeEff 15 Apr, 2020 @ 4:23am
Okay, thank you for the reply!

It's a shame that Keen didn't get it right from the start and rushed to publish weather content that is not yet technically finished.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 1:32am
@ZettDeEff - If you mean preventing weather from being inside strcutures & underground areas, nope, thats a Keen problem I can't fix. And even if there was a ModAPI-way to do it, I suck at C#, so I probably don't even know how to do that :P
ZettDeEff 14 Apr, 2020 @ 10:45am
Are you able to ban the weather from the base or is this Keen's construction site? :steamhappy:
YoshiWoof22  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 8:41am
@Darian Stephens - Cheers, then its resolved :)
Darian Stephens 14 Apr, 2020 @ 8:37am
Those are in the vanilla WeatherEffects.sbc, so yes.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 8:29am
@Darian Stephens - Correct, that is indeed the conclusion i came to. And yeah, i figured you didnt keep the weird effects - MarsStormLight & MarsStormHeavy still exist though, right?
Darian Stephens 14 Apr, 2020 @ 8:12am
I'm sure this is the conclusion you came to, but to make sure there's 100% clarity, yes my mod works as a replacement for MWE.
The only thing it lacks is the custom test weathers KptKosmit made (Clang, Apocalypse, and so on).

I'm also currently working on adding Realistic Sound support to weathers, which means you can close your helmet and have the intense rain muffled. No guarantee that will work, but I'm testing it now.
At the very least, I could replace the rain sounds with something nicer. Probably in an optional mod, in case people prefer the vanilla ones.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 7:41am
Addendum: Turns out i suck at reading earlier comments, my 2 questions resolved themselves :steamfacepalm:
YoshiWoof22  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 7:36am
@Darian Stephens - Sorry for the late reply, wasn't paying attention to steam. Nice to see that you beat me to it :P I'll be adding your mod to the collection and hopefully releasing Alien/Titan soon.

I wanted to ask - is your weather fix mod a replacement for KptKosmit's More Weather Effects (MWE), and does it include the sandstorms & extra effect patterns?

If yes, then i'll make your version the requirement for Mars, Alien & Titan.
If not, how well does it play together with MWE?
Darian Stephens 14 Apr, 2020 @ 2:24am
I've uploaded my modification, with the full credit required by the script:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2060560985
Darian Stephens 14 Apr, 2020 @ 1:50am
I've managed to get it working myself for Earthlike.
I would appreciate your blessing to upload it, but it seems the script allows use regardless, so long as it's mentioned in the description.
Darian Stephens 14 Apr, 2020 @ 1:12am
Any word on the Earthlike version of this mod?
Really looking forward to being protected from the rain inside my base.

If the problem is that rain goes upwards, I've got a fix for that on my workshop, which also does the same thing as More Weather Effects (Which is apparently broken, for some reason).
ZettDeEff 1 Apr, 2020 @ 4:39pm
@YoshiWoof22 - It has been a pleasure to help :-)
YoshiWoof22  [author] 1 Apr, 2020 @ 3:45pm
@ZettDeEff - Great job with finding the problem, I doubt I would've found it with my testing.

This is probably a Keen issue (wouldnt surprise me), but im not sure - I'll go ask around in the modding community if anyone else is aware of such a problem. Thanks for reporting it with such detail though - I'll attempt to reproduce it when i find the time. I'll hopefully get back to you with more details :)
ZettDeEff 1 Apr, 2020 @ 3:03pm
@YoshiWoof22 I have now identified the problem i had. I've tried it in a existing Savegame WITH and WITHOUT further mods. In NO case any commands (e.g. /weather MarsStormHeavy) worked for me.

EXCEPT after a respawn on the same planet (in this case Vanilla Mars) I just used the Vanilla Drop Pod (with parachute) for testing.

The basic conditions were during the tests:

- Vanilla Mars
- Survival
- Game Settings (Advanced) Standard + In-Game Script enabled
MODs:
- More Weather Effects (by -=KptKosmit91=-)
- WEC - Mars Weather Generator (by YoshiWoof22)

Not to forget, thanks a lot for this great mod! It increases the immersion immensely :steamhappy:
Skallabjorn 1 Apr, 2020 @ 12:57pm
Yup :)
YoshiWoof22  [author] 1 Apr, 2020 @ 12:53pm
@Skallabjorn - I wasn't expecting it to work on modded Mars, guessing it has the same name as the vanilla one? (Code goes by planet name, so its the only logical reason as to why it would work)
Skallabjorn 1 Apr, 2020 @ 12:28pm
working fine for me on both vanilla mars AND my modded mars...
YoshiWoof22  [author] 1 Apr, 2020 @ 12:07pm
@ZettDeEff - Interesting... If you got this mod and More Weather Effects loaded, you should be getting randomized weather on Mars every 15' minutes or so.
Do you only have these 2 mods loaded or some others too? Would need some more info to properly investigate, as i got no idea why it isnt working for you...
ZettDeEff 1 Apr, 2020 @ 9:26am
It won't work for me. Am I a dope? Or do I need to configure something? The description doesn't give much away. Added "More Weather Effects" and this mod here...nothing
Darian Stephens 29 Mar, 2020 @ 1:26pm
Really looking forward to that Earth one!
Skallabjorn 29 Mar, 2020 @ 12:29pm
NOICE!
YoshiWoof22  [author] 29 Mar, 2020 @ 12:28pm
@Skallabjorn - Already in the works, same for Alien and Titan.
Skallabjorn 29 Mar, 2020 @ 12:15pm
need one for earth now :)
Frerduro 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:50am
Thank you :)
YoshiWoof22  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:49am
@Frerudo - Yes they do :)
Frerduro 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:44am
Just a quick question.. Does this map work well with your other random weather mods loaded?
YoshiWoof22  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:07am
@Raegenhere - While i appreciate the feedback and amazing suggestion, I absolutely suck at ModAPI & C# scripting, and I don't think I'm capable enough to create an entire framework.

When I get done setting these generators up for the remaining 3 planets, I'll probably go back to using XML-based frameworks like the Modular Encounters Spawner and upcoming RivalAI to make NPC/PvE mods again.

If me and KptKosmit91 come up with new features/effects, we will keep these weather mods updated, so don't worry about that. We definetly won't be abandoning this anytime soon :)
Rubezagel 25 Mar, 2020 @ 7:58am
Thanks for this! For now this is great, however I think we definitely will need a proper all-in-one configurable weather framework, were one can adjust frequency, duration and wheather types per planet (custom ones as well). Not a trivial undertaking, and its still early days for weather in SE, but hopefully you or someone else will tackle this. Wouldn't count on keen doing anything in that regard.
YoshiWoof22  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 1:56am
@Skallabjorn - Awesome to hear, might tune in if i have time to see it in action :)
Skallabjorn 24 Mar, 2020 @ 3:41pm
Adding to my weekend streams "Betrayal" series...
Skallabjorn 24 Mar, 2020 @ 3:40pm
mars weather for mars planet... more likey :)
YoshiWoof22  [author] 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:34pm
Important Notice:
I have updated the mod to not only fix a coding-related error, but also use different weather effects provided by More Weather Effect .
However, this means there's no more Snow or fog, but instead sandstorms. If people want me to bring those back (likely in an alternative mod), PLEASE leave a comment and I'll gladly do it.
Skallabjorn 24 Mar, 2020 @ 5:23am
SWeet! ty ty
Darian Stephens 24 Mar, 2020 @ 2:14am
I'm so looking forward to it being done for Earth.
Especially if it has compatibility with KptKosmit91's more weather mod, which features rain and thunderstorms. Even if you don't have sandstorms in the deserts, they would add so much to the environment.

YoshiWoof22  [author] 23 Mar, 2020 @ 3:39pm
Well for now CO2 snow and weird fog phenomena it is - I might get back to this once i get my PvE mods going again (and if kosmit helps me).
PixelatedDrake 23 Mar, 2020 @ 3:38pm
Hah, yes I see that! And yes, I'd be totally supportive of a sand-enabled version of this, instead of snow :)
YoshiWoof22  [author] 23 Mar, 2020 @ 3:35pm
@PixelatedDrake - Wow you're fast... Just updated the description to iterate on sandstorms.
PixelatedDrake 23 Mar, 2020 @ 3:33pm
Nice idea, very cool to see weathers being added to other planets! My personal concern, is playability and the look of it? Like..Is this just "snow" on mars, or a dust-specific weather type? dust storms would be sweet, I'm all for that, but hving it look like christmas on mars? nothanks~
