If you want me to look into this further, please report it on the GitHub page I recently established. You can find the link in the mod description above.
You just need creative tools on to use it.
In-Game: /weather Clear.
That's all.
It's a shame that Keen didn't get it right from the start and rushed to publish weather content that is not yet technically finished.
The only thing it lacks is the custom test weathers KptKosmit made (Clang, Apocalypse, and so on).
I'm also currently working on adding Realistic Sound support to weathers, which means you can close your helmet and have the intense rain muffled. No guarantee that will work, but I'm testing it now.
At the very least, I could replace the rain sounds with something nicer. Probably in an optional mod, in case people prefer the vanilla ones.
I wanted to ask - is your weather fix mod a replacement for KptKosmit's More Weather Effects (MWE), and does it include the sandstorms & extra effect patterns?
If yes, then i'll make your version the requirement for Mars, Alien & Titan.
If not, how well does it play together with MWE?

I would appreciate your blessing to upload it, but it seems the script allows use regardless, so long as it's mentioned in the description.
Really looking forward to being protected from the rain inside my base.
If the problem is that rain goes upwards, I've got a fix for that on my workshop, which also does the same thing as More Weather Effects (Which is apparently broken, for some reason).
This is probably a Keen issue (wouldnt surprise me), but im not sure - I'll go ask around in the modding community if anyone else is aware of such a problem. Thanks for reporting it with such detail though - I'll attempt to reproduce it when i find the time. I'll hopefully get back to you with more details :)
EXCEPT after a respawn on the same planet (in this case Vanilla Mars) I just used the Vanilla Drop Pod (with parachute) for testing.
The basic conditions were during the tests:
- Vanilla Mars
- Survival
- Game Settings (Advanced) Standard + In-Game Script enabled
MODs:
- More Weather Effects (by -=KptKosmit91=-)
- WEC - Mars Weather Generator (by YoshiWoof22)
Not to forget, thanks a lot for this great mod! It increases the immersion immensely
Do you only have these 2 mods loaded or some others too? Would need some more info to properly investigate, as i got no idea why it isnt working for you...
When I get done setting these generators up for the remaining 3 planets, I'll probably go back to using XML-based frameworks like the Modular Encounters Spawner and upcoming RivalAI to make NPC/PvE mods again.
If me and KptKosmit91 come up with new features/effects, we will keep these weather mods updated, so don't worry about that. We definetly won't be abandoning this anytime soon :)
I have updated the mod to not only fix a coding-related error, but also use different weather effects provided by More Weather Effect .
However, this means there's no more Snow or fog, but instead sandstorms. If people want me to bring those back (likely in an alternative mod), PLEASE leave a comment and I'll gladly do it.
Especially if it has compatibility with KptKosmit91's more weather mod, which features rain and thunderstorms. Even if you don't have sandstorms in the deserts, they would add so much to the environment.
