Thanks, Klaus. :) On some builds I may go too far with their complications and I have been trying to dial it down a bit by automating some of the features (particularly autostart and autogearing). However I still like leaving it open to be configurable by adjusting properties of microcontrollers, etc.. Really love that option of microcontrollers.

In regards to the jetboat, based on the update to jet RPS I think it may beyond fixing... but I'm still going to take a look. It's hard, and somewhat disheartening, to move forward on new builds when you have to fix old ones that just stop working based on updates. The same sort of thing happened to my SCARAB sub after the Electric updates. I think I may need to start from scratch and consider what other options may be available to get the desired results I want.

@elfbosshog Thanks so much, really love your seabosssystems sets. ive got to say the balance of how complicated they are with how user friendly you make them is outstanding, just wanted to say the jet boat might need some love too, some update in may broke everything in the game prior to that update
ElfBossHogg  [author] 30 Sep, 2019 @ 1:53pm
Hi Klaus, I managed to find the issue and fixed in it a new version I just uploaded. In the past it was necessary to up the RPS of the main rotor chopper due to game changes. Originally you could have flow at 50 RPS but with a game update I had to increase it to 75. At that RPS the gyro became very tempermental. Not sure what changed in the game but after some tweaking with the jet controller I can now get lift and flight at 45 RPS. With the major reduction in required RPS any changes in direction will not "overtorque" the main rotors which would have lead to tumbling from the sky in the past.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 29 Sep, 2019 @ 7:43pm
Hi Klaus, not sure. It was working fine about a month ago and I just noticed in Flight Plan mode that on transitioning to another waypoint (while using Maintain Speed) it's flipping. The gyro is almost too "hyper sensitive" now as it tries to deal with large course corrections at high speed. If I set it to fly Single Point or Flight Plan without Maintain Speed on the WP it works fine. The Gyro has always been funny at high torque or high speeds. I'll try to take a look at it in the week. Just swamped with work.

autopilot spazzes out and flips the chopper around what causes this, it eventually works but it sends the heli crashing a lot
FireFrost 25 Aug, 2019 @ 9:23pm
the fuel keys
FireFrost 25 Aug, 2019 @ 9:22pm
just lower the rpms and cut the key off
CodexTroyer 25 Aug, 2019 @ 7:50pm
how do i turn this off?
FireFrost 4 Aug, 2019 @ 11:46am
this is by far the best chopper going , pride went into it . It is a masterpiece a total work of art .

I miss this game so much. I no longer have a gaming PC but I will again one day. I miss this heli :(
Mining15 30 Jul, 2019 @ 6:18pm
i really like what you did with the triage beds, but the "fix" that changes energy consumption of connectors depnding on force has made the batteries on the beds run out really quickly unfourtunatly
FireFrost 5 Jul, 2019 @ 10:27am
can i request 1 more final thing? I hate to be a butt head but anyway you can make a 2nd accessory to attach to the other wall that has the connector and a mag on it for the winch on the rail that we can swap out with the harnesses? It's great to be able to use the chopper again all these updates drive me nuts , I can only imagine how content creators feel =) thanks man
FireFrost 4 Jul, 2019 @ 2:22pm
thanks man seems to work now , just have to have it full throttle to lift ect , love it
FireFrost 28 Jun, 2019 @ 1:40pm
think last update broke it again , my god i wish they would just settle on something everytime i hop in something to play a nice relaxing game i cant cause something is fd up . lol
Surferbum 25 Jun, 2019 @ 7:27pm
Dang that's a shame, Ill figure out a solution sooner or later :). Anyways thanks for the help and I look forward to your amazing creations!
ElfBossHogg  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 5:18pm
:) It happens.

Jet Fuel unfortunately is a resource that is somewhat limited when it comes to sources. There's a fuel depot on a small island that sells Diesel, Jet Fuel and Crude but it's not easily accessible by a helicopter. The fueling hose is right next to the dock and there is no real place to land. There's a bit of a tease in what looks like a Helicopter Depot but it only accepts jet fuel to sell, not buy. For Jet Fuel it looks like you may be a bit stuck until you can put together a tanker to haul the fuel back to base.
Surferbum 25 Jun, 2019 @ 3:01pm
Yep that is what I am doing wrong, I am putting Diesel in instead of Jet. Sorry I just got this game and didnt know there was a difference since I only see one refueling tank in the hanger. Where do I get jet fuel?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:53pm
Hi Surfer, are you putting in Diesel or Jet Fuel in to the tanks? Perhaps a stupid question but I just want to make sure. :) The turbines require Jet Fuel.
Surferbum 25 Jun, 2019 @ 11:41am
Thanks for the response. I put 1500 fuel in each tank (SB & Port) then I turn to ground idle then I activate both keys. I have to be doing something wrong since it works on your end. Maybe I can make a video and send to you, ill keep trying.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 9:47pm
Hi Surferbum. When you play with Limited Fuel is there fuel actually in the tanks when you engage the switch to turn on the Engines? I don't think there is. The Jet Turbines each have a small electrical motor to help them turn over. The compressors and the electrical motor will automatically shut off when the Combustion Chamber is over 2 RPS. If there is no fuel in the tank then the turbine will never turn over but the small electrical motors will still keep trying until you turn the key off. That's probably what's killing the battery. Each turbine has their own isolated small battery that is recharged by their own turbines. All the battery covers is the couple of seconds for the compressor and the motor to kick the turbine over. When the batteries are low you will get the T.BATT alert in the Alert Panel for the appropriate side.
Surferbum 24 Jun, 2019 @ 9:05pm
Love the helo! I just have a quick question, when I play with "Limited Fuel" on I cant seem to get the engines to turn on. They just continue rotating at 1.6 rps then the battery signal goes off saying not enough battery. Do you know what could be going wrong? I am switching to ground idle then turning the keys.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 7:21pm
Thanks for the heads-up, joooonnas. I managed to fix the issue... the following notes are in the change log.

Fixed Issued with gearing and power transfer to small generators that were inline just after the Main Rotor. Due to the recent Electric Fix (0.7.11) the generators caused more drag on the drive shaft. I upped the RPS on the gears prior to the main shaft, removed the supplemental gears that were connected to the generators (that were causing the issue) and ensured the RPS Monitor was just prior to the entry to the Main Rotor. The helicopter is back to Flight Idle of 60 RPS and full speed. Also seems to have improved Fuel Consumption.

Looks like we are all good now. :)
joooonnas 24 Jun, 2019 @ 10:46am
Since the new update you need to give MAx Power with 80 to lift of. Also you only reach speed of 25 m/s
ElfBossHogg  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 1:08pm
Thanks for the comments and assist, FireFrost :)
FireFrost 16 Jun, 2019 @ 9:24am
you use the arrow keys above the turnable keys , center console left will set it for ground mode then hit the left again for flight , then again for full throttle . collective is by up and down arrows on keyboard keypad
Menjo 16 Jun, 2019 @ 6:09am
How do you make it fly?
FireFrost 15 Jun, 2019 @ 3:42pm
after flying a few others just to try out you can appreciate all the detail esp. in the autopilot and alt and speed holds no other chopper is this advanced and has so many sweet things in it .
FireFrost 15 Jun, 2019 @ 3:39pm
ya great re work can now carry stuff easily and see whats under there GJ =) , ya the square look isnt a great look but it works better then the cross ,I use this thing everyday sometimes i just hover and look around at the waves I love it
Tizzn 15 Jun, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Great helicopter! in my opinion the best one!

you are one of the best workshop authors for this game, keep up the good work!
jostvanwair 10 Jun, 2019 @ 9:35am
nvm
jostvanwair 10 Jun, 2019 @ 9:33am
It does not seem to go to it's destination altitude that fast, why?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 9 Jun, 2019 @ 5:24am
Just below the monitor in the cargo bay is a button to toggle the main connector on the hoist. In order to connect up the dual sling I turn off its holding connector on the wall and let it fall to the floor. I'll grab it and turn it so it's generally facing up. Then I'll use the hoist controls to move the main connector to the dual sling.
King Burger 9 Jun, 2019 @ 12:53am
hey how is it that you connect the dual sling to the winch been looking for a button for like 5 minutes
ElfBossHogg  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 12:31pm
FireFrost... I changed the configuration of the Lift Bar so that it was less bar like and more square. May not be final version but it has a lot less tendency to roll. Newest version of Mk.II uploaded to Workshop. I also added a small lower hatch to the Cargo Bay. Still working on some additional accessories.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 7:17am
Hi FireFrost. Let me see what I can do. I'm not overly happy with the LiftBar as it's narrowness make cause it to flip particularly when moving. I just need to factor in how to work the winches in to the space I have left. There also seems to be an interesting effect where turning on the Mags causes the bar to be attracted to the helicopter even when it's over 10m away and pointing down. It's quite inconvenient.
FireFrost 6 Jun, 2019 @ 3:44am
one thing id like to add would be a stabilized lifting winch the cross is nice but flips over to easy . maybe add controls for the back winch near the pilot? so you can fly and use the winch to swoop in and hook stuff? would be good if you can set the winch up , then hop back in pilot seat to control up down and mag =) on the hotas seat maybe?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 4 Jun, 2019 @ 2:33pm
Usually are.. :)

It's a bit packed as the Flight Engineer is controlling the Fire Fighting System, Gimbal Camera, Lift Bar and Searchlight systems. Pilot has access to Altitude and Speed Hold Systems, AutoPilot with Single and Flight Plan options and then your base gauges for vehicle performance (Rotor RPS, Engine conditions, etc).. Throw in Alert panels ,Light controls and Fuel Controls and I can't help it. I packed a lot in there. You don't need to use all the options but I like to make them so they are available.
MoonRun3s 4 Jun, 2019 @ 12:49pm
The cockpit seems a little... crowded, you could say.
Toby 2 Jun, 2019 @ 1:40pm
this is lookking great
