Found the blueprints in the Scraphouse, but none of the workbenches allow me to craft Type 2 or Type 3, only Type 1 is in the Heavy Armor Workbench.

Do the blueprints for Old Empire Dustmask Type II and Type III actually appear in shops? I've been camping the Black Scratch Library for over 30 ingame days already, and have yet to see it, even with mods that massively increase the stock they have. I've gotten every single other blueprint for the items in this mod, just not those 2.

I like the Idea of this mod, but it would be nice if we could still use skeletons on vanilla starts (especially for the starts with multiple characters), is there any way to do that?

I made a submod that changes your Legion Assassin into a Legion Terminator. Seems more fitting. ATT/DEF/Toughness/Strength w/KLR and str limbs

You need to add "skeleton legion" faction to the legion assassin - that will help with his relations as well as compatability for mods like robot recruitment since he will inherit faction default dialogue

id recommend you get 2 people and the peeler machine mod then put them in that until the limbs fall off

I have one big question: can you make the same work for humans, with the limb parts that would go flying on amputation being displayed in the inventory? I sometimes like playing transhumanists, but hate the brutal ways of losing limbs by weapon or shredder, so a simple, cleanly surgical(?) measure would be nice. Or when my dog who was with me from the beginning is starving and I decide that I don't really need my left arm that much.

hey i have to ask about being able to craft these special limbs because after wandering about and finding the skeletons with these limbs i just think they are soo cool and have to ask is there something i can do to be able to craft them in the limbs bench?

Thanks for responding MECR, so in a way, yes. Except it was working fine with the modded races up until the most recent update, now not even Skeletons are playable. I've tried every mod combination and it is this mod which is a shame because I love this and felt that the game needed it.

Since the most recent update, I haven't been able to use this mod unless I don't want to play as Skeletons, expanded hivers (Dead, southern, queens, etc.) or anything that isn't in the very very base game, any idea what might be causing it?

Hi HAL-9000, yes when importing with an already existing save, you'll have to get rid of your skeleton's limbs somehow. Best guess would be a peeler machine. I'm sorry but there is no way to access your already existing characters via modding.

It doesn't seem to change my existing skeleton's limbs unless I'm having a mod conflict. I've imported a few times and made the mod the highest over any other mods and it doesn't seem to work for me.

Hi, first let me make clear that I welcome your comments and suggestions :cozybethesda: I hope my answers don't sound too defensive which they aren't meant to be ;-) It's just that I already thought about many things and experimented a lot... what you suggest can theoretically be done, but then I need 5 identical versions of every limb and they all have to be named exactly the same... that's an awful lot of work and major source of possbile mistakes. So for the time being, I decided against it. But maybe in a future update. Btw what I already implemented for more important random NPCs like i.e. Tech Hunter Skeletons is some randomness in Limb Quality: they can have a wide range of Limb Types, and most of them are standard quality, but some can be of high quality. However, these are always the same. So everytime the RNG decides for a Thief Arm, it's high quality.

I‘d love to do that but sadly the FCS limits it. You can give different Limbs randomly, but they cannot have a random quality grade.

you can make some advanced limbs and give them to some robots randomly, you can make the chance lower. in the way some of them can keep their power as vanilla game.

@ Mr. Chiweenie and others: yeah, this is like 6+ mods in one, it's intented to be like that and clearly states it in the description: Major Skeleton Overhaul. So future versions of this mod will be more like 9 or 10 mods in one rather than anything different.

However, as I stated before, I understand the demand for a "Limb Swapping only" aka "Light" version especially as there obviously is no other mod on the workshop that does that. I will give you this light version once I finished the major update that I'm working on right now. This is no easy task, please expect it to take some time.

@CaptainSnafu: I'm not happy about it, but this mod will likely always have some balancing issues. No wonder as it handles Robotic Limbs in a completely different way than the vanilla game. So yeah, most Skeletons will be easier to defeat with this mod. But if I had done it the other way and had given them more powerful limbs, you'd be swimming in high grade limbs and lots of cats in no time... that'd also be unbalancing and would take away much of the fun of always searching for better limbs. But if you can tell me if there are Skeleton Factions that you feel are really too weak, I can have a look.

@Animecore: the "Headgear" part of this mod is more than just unlocking the Head Armour Slot (which is a 30 sec effort by the way), it adds custom models for Skeleton Headgear so that there will be no major clipping issues. I encourage you to have a second look, but of course, it's your decision ;-)

It doesn't change their heads from what I've seen, only limbs, but in order to make them good, you will have to upgrade their limbs. It is also pretty cool to see npcs with artificial limbs, and the Limbs of Steel faction is a great add on (and makes sense), though seems somewhat broken as they never stop attacking if you kidnap their leader for a bounty. I haven't noticed any mod compatibility issues, though I don't run many. Overall I recommend it.

I would DL this mod asap if it only changed skeleton limbs, and not change their head features. I already have a mod for that, that unlocks skeletons head and feet slot. Someone below suggested a light version of this mod, with just skeleton's having skeleton limbs only. Not stealth legs, scout legs, KLR etc. I would DL that one. That sounds badass and lore friendly.
