They are indeed a little strong but i absolutely LOVE a proper airforce! I have an idea though that could help with that they are a little strong. Maybe a debuff condition that activates when they are under fire? The engineers that fly them need to shoot and fly at the same time, so its justified.

Also i should probably have debuffed them slightly since i agree they are a bit OP, straight doubled. Fun though lol. But i did it for the aesthetic of having a small Dawi air wing vs the handful of air units you otherwise get per unit.

So they look like air cavalry but they could stand to lose a copter more often in combat. Next time around we can balance it more for TWH3. If it needs it.

I think the renown one is pretty nice as is, but! I'll re-make this for TWH3 and fast if its wanted. And with that include more than one version so all units are covered. (we'll have to try it vanilla first and see though once its out.)

I've noticed even the double gyros in general... I don't really use steam, are still a little op. but the ai seems to spawn more armor piercing range than they used to. I'll give that mod a try.

Those Flame Cannon Gyrocopters are so OP already that I can't imagine doubling how many there are. I sent two units towards a full stack reinforcing army, and it never made it to main battle. I played with it for awhile, but uninstalled it because there was simply no way to lose with them in your army unless you were fighting 19 Dread Saurians in custom battles.

Hi @heavystorm I would ask the mod creator if they would post a mod that doubles their units sizes. but failing that i can do it, and i'd ask them first as a courtesy.

Neat fire cannon gyros tho! A good cross between the two defaults, fire damage of the brimstone with the aoe of steam.

Also there is an excellent mod that adds Flame Cannon Gyrocopters to the Dwarf roster. That unit is awesome and superiour infantary killer. Made my dwarf campaign so much fun. I would really appreciate if you can double its size too :)

This mod works with SFO. But ROR version Gyrobomber has no HP increase.

Thanks Zed! Much obliged! Can you do me a favour?

Since it seems to be up to date in the workshop, can u disable all mods except this one, so there is nothing to conflict. Load up the custom battle menu, and it should show 8 and 2 for the gyro unit sizes, you don't need to load into a battle or anything. If there are any other mods that edit the main_unit tables above this one in the load order the changes might not show.

This should all be updated now. Odd that replacing a file in a database should be this troublesome lol its such a stupid simple mod too that updating in the workshop has been the hardest part. lol

I might need to point out that in the new campaign I didn't actually build gyrocopters. I just looked at the unit info box. If you'd like me to go ahead and play it further, let me know.

It didn't work in my old campaign, so I started a new campaign and got rid of one mod that I thought might interfere with it, but still no luck. Doesn't seem to be working.

Hi! sorry been super busy. I know this mod makes air mobility worth while for the Dawi. This is my first public mod and steam has some funny update issues.

I am going through this now and will have it update properly...
So we can get back to dropping DEATH FROM ABOVE on those GROBI SCUM!

So in the info box for the units, it doesn't show that the number of characters has changed. Are they actually changed and jut not showing up there? I haven't done a battle with them yet.

One other thing to note. It might conflict with other mods that edit the same database table. So other unit mods may conflict. Its done correctly so i'm not sure why, but i did run into that occasionally.

Glad other people find this balances out Gyros. They're stats were fine. A larger unit size was really all they needed. Thanks!

Hey! no it just doubles the unit size. no stat changes. but that, its been a while, i think... spreads the hitpoints out across more units. listed damage is per unit, so more projectiles per volley, means more dps. as for save compatible, it should be yes.

Big fan of this mod, using it has made gyrocopters actually useful.
