Something broke again. Get some mp4 errors and missing textures. Nothing is animating atm.

Hey Lost. You can control the depth of the pass through version by using one of the corners and raising it and locking it like we were recently discussing. It can be a little tricky but theres basically an invisible cube there so you can manipulate it like a normal object and yet have other objects pass through the visible part.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing. I only wish that the water's depth could be adjusted

Thank yoU @peerless

its a blue one, but have calming waters..in fact it's the only animated tile before hitting into page 2 where you have another version (fire and pink water?) followed by 2 figurines., I didn't think twice that it would be located on the corners of that animated water.

but thank you so much ;_;!..

Hachimitsu, Which tile are you trying to move. The two animated waters with the white square drawn under them are non-colliding except in that corner. This allows objects to submerge through the water surface.

If you'd like to make it completely solid, right click on the corner and then go to custom. You can copy the normal/bump map field onto one of the other square tiles that doesn't have that white rectangle drawn under it and then that one will start animating as well. You might have to use the color tinter to get the color you want.

Alternatively you can do the same process but instead update the collider field on the anmated object. If you copy the colider from one of the solid square examples, you can paste it into the collider field of the animated object.

Let me know if thats confusing.

Does anyone know how to remove the "animated" water? for some reason, it got stuck in midair and I wanted to resize it. I tried everything but felt like it is being locked onto something ( not even unlocking it works).

it looks well made but again having some problems ;_;!:steamsad:

Btw looks like the normal map issue was fixed with one of the recent updates so this mod is working again.
Peerless  [author] 19 Aug, 2019 @ 2:51pm
Ah crap. That looks like normal maps have stopped working in TTS for anything thats not an asset bundle. Thats not great!
miguelito 19 Aug, 2019 @ 12:49pm
New update broke it. Hoping for a fix.
Gondor72 16 Aug, 2019 @ 5:58pm
It really was the best water out there. It looks like the new patch kind of broke it thought.

Best on the workshop.
Tyrant 16 Apr, 2019 @ 4:41pm
Strange, those assets were 404ing when I posted them. Nevermind then.
Peerless  [author] 16 Apr, 2019 @ 3:03pm
@Tyrant I've noticed that TTS seems to stall out on occasion when loading video assets. If you reload the workshop item/save or reimport the object it should resume working.

I'm not sure why this happens but I'm suspicious that its because the timeout for the video asset starts counting while other non-video assets are still loading so it gives up before it even gets the chance to load the asset. I haven't done enough research into the why yet but its probably first release issue with video assets.

Really cool, great stuff! Can't wait to see more.
Thanks a lot! :steamhappy:

PS: Looking at the video, I do wonder if one can get the animated water into the game too. I will investigate that.
Peerless  [author] 11 Apr, 2019 @ 3:57pm
@Baryonyx I need a bit of a break from playing with the animated textures but I've included the WIP animated textures section so you could see what you're recommendation yielded
Peerless  [author] 8 Apr, 2019 @ 9:38pm
Well damn... It worked.
Peerless  [author] 8 Apr, 2019 @ 4:51pm
Thats a neat idea. I'll have to see how that interacts with normals.
Baryonyx 8 Apr, 2019 @ 6:30am
Thanks for the update. With the new game update allowing animated textures, I wonder if you could try making a gif out of these, so that they move a bit?
Peerless  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 6:01pm
I'm 95% sure the ocean current one came from Filter Forge which has a free trial license of do do whatever you want with it for 30 days. Also why can I not edit responses on my own mods. That seems like it would be useful for responding to people.
Peerless  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:53pm
Interestingly, heres a bunch of royalty free ones I should give a try http://www.cadhatch.com/seamless-water-textures/4588167784
Peerless  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:44pm
Here is the sad truth. I don't actually remember! In fact, I'm not sure if these two are actually ones I created or ones I found. Which I dislike because I can't credit the source or ask permission. I know I tried a few software packages that had free trials. I know I had a lot of success with L3dT but I don't think I got the water normals from there. And that I popped these into TTS over a year ago on a different computer, I think my sources are lost to the ether. Since this is just a plane(Actually a small number of more faces than a single plane) I'm hoping to inspire someone to make some more that might have the means to. :(
Baryonyx 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:30pm
Very nice! May I ask how you generated this water?
Peerless  [author] 27 Sep, 2018 @ 3:56pm
I've added a thicker collider to the water planes. This should prevent objects being dragged over them from spazzing out. Likewise for dragging the water over other things. You'll definitely want to update your saved objects to have the new colliders.
