does it still work?

Whoah, I did not realize this mod would buff the bad guys so much - perhaps because I thought cash is not an issue for the AI factions. Unfortunately, I think x3 might be too much, but I don't know what the right ratio would be either. I might experiment with either x2 or 1.5 and see what occurs.

Okay; never mind - it seems to work.

Does this mod need updating?

I have to admit, this is a pretty amazing mod, for multiple reason, but first being that the order factions love to ally eachother, but the evil factions dont, meaning that the late game isnt 1 massive alliance, but all scatterd powerful evil factions, the dark elves make the perfect late game boss with their AP units and insane lords

I recommend Unnatural Selections 2 to anyone who wants to get similar results from a mod. Also has a lot optional functionality.

Warcommissar1 15 Oct, 2020 @ 12:41am
Apex could you do a darkside mod that excludes dark elves, unlike other disorder factions, they do not struggle
Apex  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 10:38pm
The mod is now updated.
Kerrberos 27 May, 2020 @ 4:23pm
I have been using save parser to look up faction names, but the new W&P factions are below
- orcs:
"wh2_dlc15_grn_broken_axe",
"wh2_dlc15_grn_bonerattlaz",
- high elves:
"wh2_main_hef_yvresse",
"wh2_dlc15_hef_imrik",

I recommend using Drunk Flamingo's Mod configuration menu for troubleshooting. After you edit the .pack file, start a new campaign to make sure the mod still shows up in the Mod Config Menu. I myself then like to run a 50 turn campaign autorun to check how the changes you made affect the balance. Using Crynsos's mod, Modding Tools: Campaign Autorun.

Eltharion on mortal empires seems perfect for a survival campaign!

To anyone looking for an update to this type of mod or obsessed with campaign balance in general, I worked out a great solution for myself that I would like to share. Check out the mod Loreful Empires: Great Leader Bonuses https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1345182733/

The mod itself is also out of date, and buffs most LL factions by default, but with a little effort you can update this yourself and pick and choose which factions get the auto resolve buffs (against other AI only). All you have to do is use the program "Pack File Manager" to edit the major_empires.pack file located in the \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\594570\1345182733 folder. You can then add in the new factions and swap around existing factions. With this you can buff auto resolve resolution for either Chaos/Destruction OR Order to create survival campaigns from either perspective.

They changed the tables for this data. I cannot find them any longer and henceforth cannot update this mod anymore.

Commisar Jon Fuklaw 9 May, 2019 @ 8:51pm
I have made an updated, expanded, and rebalanced mod that incorporates the basic idea from this. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1736969603

seems to crash my game on launch presently
Kerrberos 30 Apr, 2019 @ 2:40pm
Can we get an inverse of this to make playing an evil campaign harder as well?

dank mod!
Arueshalae 18 Sep, 2018 @ 11:14pm
damn great!
Commisar Jon Fuklaw 28 Aug, 2018 @ 12:45pm
Oh good. Maybe this will make my dwarf campaign victories take longer than 25 turns.
Apex  [author] 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:09am
The player is effected. This mod is intented for playing as a good faction, if you play evil with it it will likely get too easy.
less1630 26 Aug, 2018 @ 2:47am
I want to ask if only AI is affected? Does the player have any effect when playing evil races?
The Guiding Light 25 Aug, 2018 @ 9:18pm
is this save game compatible
Apex  [author] 25 Aug, 2018 @ 8:27pm
Thank you. I dont consider tomb kings a faction where large scale expansion would be loreful.

The rest of the doomtide will take a little while to get going. As long as the evil factions infight, the power increase equals itself out. So you have some time to prepare. But as soon as the AI confederations begin in mid/late game, that is when darkness will spread.
AVGAMER 25 Aug, 2018 @ 5:00pm
great job, I've no noticed a good power increase with the evil factions. Clan pestilins especialy in vortex is a real doom tide now. My only suggestion would be to include tomb kings in here too as I find they tend to get stymied by poor economy with AI.
Apex  [author] 25 Aug, 2018 @ 11:44am
Well you can think that, but the several campaign autoruns I have done (see pictures) prove otherwise. I have adjusted the modified values to a point where it is not a total wipeout of the forces of good, but they are definitely fighting a hard pressed losing battle.

Additionally, the changes that you suggest are much more complex in nature and tend to conflict with many other mods. I like to keep it sleek.
