- Reworked the ship HP and shield display. They are now segmented bars that change color based on damage severity.
- Added visually noticeable hull damage and onboard fires that appear when a ship takes damage. The lower the integrity, the more fires ignite.
- Destroyed ships no longer disappear - they turn into drifting hulks that can be used as cover from enemy fire. More functionality for hulks will be added later.
- Fixed performance issues caused by a large number of strike craft and torpedoes on the map. An expensive target search method was replaced with a more optimized one.
- Added a point defence mechanic with anti-air/anti-missile turrets. When hostile torpedoes or strike craft fly near a ship, its onboard turrets automatically engage and shoot them down.
- Added a visual effect for downed strike craft - when a fighter is lost in a squadron, a small explosion occurs, leaving behind burning debris.
- Enabled previously unused Imperial Captain voice lines. He now reacts to a wider range of events.
- Added 6 new cruiser-class ships: Lunar-class Torpedo Cruiser, Lunar-class Nova Cannon Cruiser, Gothic-class Cruiser, Tyrant-class Cruiser, Dictator-class Cruiser, Dominator-class Cruiser.
- Added 8 new battlecruiser-class ships: Armageddon-class Battlecruiser, Chalice-class Battlecruiser, Dominion-class Battlecruiser, Jovian-class Battlecruiser, Mars-class Battlecruiser, Mercury-class Battlecruiser, Neptune-class Battlecruiser, Overlord-class Battlecruiser.
- All new ships now have fully functional weapon systems, including the nova cannon. The LVS AI isn't very good at using them yet, but work has begun to teach it how to operate the new ship types and utilize their full capabilities.

- Significant balance changes. Battles should now last longer and be more spectacular.
- Some visual and sound effects have been reworked and improved.
- Ship textures and models have been completely overhauled (thanks, Jack Swan).
- Work has begun on the ship captain's voice system, which will announce various events.
- Chaos ships added: the Iconoclast-class destroyers, Renegade, and Sacrilegist (the latter two are variants of the Iconoclast).
- Work has begun on Chaos raiders.

- Implemented Attack Craft. Now you can launch squadrons of interceptors and bombers to fight off enemy torpedoes and destroy ships.
- AC squadrons have a complex behavior system that influences their actions. When launched in a direction, they move and engage any enemy they find; when launched towards a ship, they will escort that ship and engage targets in range.
- If a squadron runs out of ammo or mission time, it will try to return to the ship that launched it.
- Added new ship: Tempest-class Strike Frigate; a Sword-class refitted with launch bays.
