Update for Reforged Eden 2 Alpha: (Build 7)


A massive thank you to everyone who has been reporting issues on GitHub and giving feedback and suggestions here and on Discord.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
  • Added new Drone Swarm patrol vessels: Guardian, Swarm Guardian, Swarm Nullifier.
  • Updated loot containers for Drone Swarm. Now contains more loot than just salvaged drone processors. Will still always contain drone processors.
  • Added class 3 Drone Swarm combat site to drone infested systems inside and outside of the Dronelands.
  • Various tweaks to Drone Swarm playfields.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Drone Swarm faction update:
Work in progress. This is the first part of a multi-part update to this faction. These will NOT be balanced yet, please give feedback on the balance and risk/reward and I will adjust them. They will probably do way too much damage right now. I wanted to get this half of the update out now for initial testing.
Updated existing and added new POIs and patrol vessels for the Drone Swarm faction. Overhauled Drone Swarm playfield setups.
Drone infested systems around the edge of the galaxy will be moderate to hard difficulty. The goal is you should be able to carefully obtain your first auxiliary cpu extender using a ship that needs no auxiliary or quantum cpu extenders.
The Dronelands has harder playfields and POIs and should only be explored using an advanced combat ship that already has some quantums and/or aux cpu extenders (or a very brave pilot).
For the next update balance tweaks will be made for any aspect of the Drone Swarm, including their difficulty and reward. NOTHING IS SET IN STONE YET.
More POI and patrol vessel variations are planned, as well as easier and harder combat sites and a few unique devices to build using drone technology. An expedition mission to introduce you to the Drone Swarm is also planned.
Balance tweaks will need to be made as they have not yet been combat tested. Please leave feedback!
  • Updated existing Drone Swarm faction POIs and patrol vessels.
  • Added new POIs.
  • POIs are now separated into 4 tiers: Budding, Brood, Swarm, and Hive.
  • Added new Medium Nova missile turret for POIs used by the Drone Swarm.
  • Added laser defense drone bays for use by the Drone Swarm. Some POIs can now launch multiple waves of long range laser drones that will have to be dealt with.
  • Updated playfields for drone orbits and asteroid fields.
  • Removed Drone Swarm from planets.

Misc:
  • Slightly increased quantity of surface rocks on mountains on Pandora.
  • Updated Raider T1 orbital patrol vessels.
  • Added back an updated Class 2 SV only combat site to defend a sieged freighter from a bandit fleet.
  • Updated NPC factions with new faction versus faction warfare settings.
  • Updated loading screen tips.
  • Heavy railgun turrets can now be controlled manually.
  • Increased salt gained from deconstructing dense and rich ice.
  • Replaced sathium with aluminium on rogue starter ice moons. Increased availlable sathium on rogue starter lava moons.
  • Fixed structural integrity on Destroyed Mining Tower.
  • Updated Project Eden Prologue mission (requires new save).
  • Updated Science Station dialogue.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Updated most POIs and OPVs with new decorative elements and revised shields.
  • Updated Ancient Tower to split story mission zirax into an extra spawner to prevent the spawner from jamming if you kill the zombie inside the spawner's spawn zone.
  • Dialog Bugfixes.
  • Reduced charge rate of POI-only Shield Capacitors (doesn't matter for players), it just means that some POI shields will recharge slower.
  • HV and SV Light Rockets can be crafted in HV/SV Constructors.
  • Fixed strange error where Chemmix Industrial traders' dialog would error.
  • Fixed bug where Starfreight Services would fail to recognize valid jobs from factories, and then wipe the tracker for the job if you accepted them.
  • Added new deco block to the Science and Tech blocks (Containment Unit).
  • HV/SV Constructors can no longer crafting Sathium Ingots into Sathium Plates for consistency. (Also nothing the HV/SV Constructor could craft contains sathium plates anyway)
  • Fixed incorrect status effect description from Berry Milkshake.
  • Added new Dead NPC variants.
  • Updated tech tree.
  • HV and SV Starter Blocks can be crafted in the Hover, SV and Small Base Constructors.
  • Adjusted Sentinel Zirax drops so that they drop the same items as Elite Zirax.
  • Changed explosion visual for Plasma Artillery turrets for smaller explosion.
  • POI Dome shield generators have a longer delay before recharging after being hit.
  • HV/SV shield generators have a shorter delay before recharging after being hit.
  • Legacy Ship shields buffed (So I don't have to find places to stash shield boosters)
  • Corrected Positron Cannon's shield penetration from 20% to 25% to match tooltip.
  • Reduced shield blast penetration of the 30mm vulcan from 33.3% to 16.7%
  • Kamirat Heavy Carrier (T3) upgraded back to a Battlecarrier (T4). That means more loot. Group change from R2OPVZiraxT2 to R2OPVZiraxT3.
  • Reduced chances for Datavaults to appear during hacking minigame.
  • Fixed trail being left behind Plasma Turbines when CV is moving... probably.
  • Increased planet range of HV detectors by 500m to match SV detector.
  • Fixed incorrect CPU display on Sentry Gun parent block.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Misc:
  • Removed patrol vessel from Oscutune.
  • Updated Bandit orbital patrol vessels.
  • Updated UCH Research Vessel for RE2.
  • Fixed Medium Bolter Turrets not being available in the item menu as a standalone block.
  • Correctly balanced Colonist Light Missiles with correct shield DPM to take into account the -25% damage.
  • Removed several more Project Eden POI blocks that are no longer being used in RE2.
  • Added new menu to spawn patrol vessels in space in survival mode for testing. Accessed in the admin section of the Project Eden Settings Menu in the tutorial tab of the PDA.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Reverted shield from hull bonus due to it unbalancing HV/SV combat vs POIs (The POIs had too much shield HP)
  • Reduced shield capacity, recharge and hit delay for POI Dome Shields. (POIs will be reviewed again later)
  • Fixed oversight where the SV Large Cargo Containers had 100 hp. Now have 2000 hp.
  • Reduced the Space range of OPV laser turrets and a few others for a 100-150m range difference between player and AI ships. (Previously 300-400m for laser)
  • Corrected name switch between HV/SV Cargo Containers.
  • Small O2 Tanks (CV/BA) can now be crafted in the portable constructor.
  • Increased ammo capacity of the Flamethrower from 50 to 75.
  • Increased ammo crafting count of Flamethrower ammo from 2 to 4 tanks.
  • Thruster Rebalancing. Cleaned up the junk numbers that have piled up over the last year from constant tweaks, to provide a consistent and smooth transition between thruster tiers and sizes.
  • For CV, it will means more thrust with no change to CPU consumption.
  • For HV/SV, it will mean a few points more CPU consumption and on average, more thrust costing less power.
  • Generator HP rescaled (more hp)
  • Generator output adjusted (more power from the smallest generators and small fusion reactor).
  • Small Plasma Turbine output increased by 100w.
  • Updated Mass and HP of all Wing Blocks.
  • Updated Heidelberg with reoriented container.
  • Fixed locked doors on Asteroid Mine POIs.
  • Added a 1-block exclusion zone in front of CV Heavy Laser and Positron Cannons where blocks cannot be placed to prevent encasing of the weapon.
  • Medium turrets and ammunition can now be crafted in the Advanced Constructor instead of just the Universal Constructor.
  • Drone and Siege Drone damage multipliers updated (Reduced damage vs player bases and ships).
  • Repair Station can be made in the small constructor.
  • Fixed missing tooltip for Hangover.
  • Added Weapon Mods for Multitools, Flamethrower and Chainsaw.
  • Moved Crossbow weapon mods into a new lootgroup for tool mods, which can be found in Lockers, Closets and Repositories. Crossbow Tal'on also have a low chance to drop them.
  • Added new effect projector blocks, posters and holo consoles from Eden.
  • Updated bundles.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Misc:
  • Fixed incorrect patrol vessels and drone base settings on desert, barren, and snow planets in starting systems.
  • Fixed weapon damage per minute of Project Eden manual ship weapons to take into account a game bug that makes manual reloads take longer: https://github.com/RavienGaming/Reforged-Eden-2/issues/36
  • Alien automated drill turrets now retrieve as normal player CV tool turrets.
  • Added Polaris ocean POIs to ocean planets.
  • Removed some placeholder POIs because they were replaced with RG2 versions.
  • Added Polaris Asteroid Fields to cold systems. These have a Polaris mining fleet with a Mining Foreman who is looking for help.
  • Fixed all factions having hostile reputation on game start.
  • Renamed reputation level Enemy to Hated.
  • Removed all old Project Eden posters.
  • Added new wall posters. Will be used as mission rewards in the future.
  • Added new deco display screens available under the Project Eden Decorative Blocks. Please leave feedback or suggestions for more types.
  • Added 3 new effect projectors for light cones.
  • Added some of the decals from the War and Industry update as new holographic posters for use by players or on POIs for things like corporation advertisements, bounty posters, and news. Currently not available in survival but you can find them in the item menu by searching for Holographic. Will be added to survival at a later time.
  • Doubled reputation reward from mining contracts.
  • Fixed medium modulated turrets retrieving as light versions.
  • Removed decoy and ECM POI blocks for now until they can be remade better.
  • Increased reputation gain from officer insignias from 3x to 4x that of an equivalent standard insignia.
  • Replaced old bandit and raider patrol groups in playfield and PDA files with new ones for RE2. Patrol vessel designs are placeholders for now.

Update for Reforged Eden 2 Alpha: (Build 3)


Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Misc:
  • Increased rotation speed of cruise missile turrets and railgun turrets.
  • Added Light Armor to fresh start on Purgatory so you're not trapped without armor if you have to respawn there.
  • Removed creature spawns from near the crashed ship on the Rogue starting planets in an attempt to lower the likelyhood for NPCs to spawn inside the ship due to a game bug.
  • Adjusted defense outposts for Sector Commands to spread them out more, reduce their total numbers, and change some of them into T2 instead of T3 defenses.
  • Added 5% shield penetration to Medium and Heavy Railgun Turrets. Removed abiltity to downgrade Heavy to Medium.
  • Increased starting health on Purgatory so a single use of the medical termina heals you to full.

Update for Reforged Eden 2 Alpha: (Build 2)

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Misc:
  • Removed reputation from the Defender faction. This change may corrupt existing saves.
  • Removed escape shuttle from Dread. Added starter crashed ships. Added a couple ruins within visual range of the starting base. Added iron ore to low mountains and mountains biome.
  • Updated starting base and mission on Purgatory. Updated supply caches to now use dialogue to give supplies. Mission now gets you to level 12.
  • Updated Project Eden ship and base weapons to match new RG2 values. Many got significant damage increases or rebalancing. (Balance will be an ongoing process over the upcoming beta and over the life of the scenario. All numbers subject to change.)
  • Added Medium Modulated Laser Turrets for CV/BA. Unlocked in tech tree.
  • Adjusted unlock points for hydroponics bays. Overall requires less points to unlock all varieties.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Asteroid bases no longer consume CPU for the rock
  • The Starfreight Services option in the GIN Console has finally been unlocked. It can be used to complete factory missions by paying a freighter to supply the parts instead of you.
  • Normal cargo boxes' drop containers only last for 5 minutes when destroyed. They cause massive lag to the entire playfield when you destroy the containers on a patrol vessel.
  • Added new Loot Box entity that's dropped when Alien Loot Containers, Cargo Controllers and Quantum Boxes are destroyed. They are larger, white with lights on them, so they can be seen in space. They last for 15 minutes before despawning.
  • Updated projectiles bundles.
  • Merged SV Jet Thrusters into parent blocks so you need less unlock points and the tech tree looks like less of a disaster.
  • Increased the projectile speeds of Medium Laser turrets by 25% in space.
  • Fixed bug where Antimatter Drive Thrusters would deconstruct infinitely.

  • Overhaul of turret and weapon damage to take account for turret reloading bug.
  • Rebalanced overall CV/BA weapon damage (Increased). This rebalancement extends to POI turrets.
  • Removed blast penetration from rockets and other non-unique weapons to reduce distractions of shields being hit. Also reduces shield penetration somewhat.
  • Increased shield bonus from heavier hull blocks and structural ramps to offset damage increase.
  • Increased shield capacity from Shield Capacitors.
  • Adjusted ammo crafting and costs to match new consumption rates.
  • Minor adjustment to medical item crafting yields.
  • Fixed missing Volume value on the Large Rocket Thruster.
  • Plasma Drive Thruster no longer requires Quantum Processors. Uses Thruster Components instead. Can also be repaired to template.
  • Fixed blast damage of CV Light Rocket Turret when destroyed.
  • SV Multitool defaults to Repair mode instead of Salvage.
  • Removed ironsights from the Zirax Shotgun because it's got wonky sights that requires eleon to fix.
  • Updated Weapons Locker so it now shows the stats of weapon mods on your weapon instead of just their name.
  • Bonuses applied by weapon mods are automatically added to a weapon's tooltip.
  • Fixed bug where you couldn't modify the Plasma Cannon's Ammunition with Phonon Maser.
  • Replaced T1 Assault Model with new reflex sighted T2 assault rifle model.
  • Adjusted handling of the Assault Rifle weapons with less visible kick to the weapon models when fired.
  • Reduced durability loss on SMGs.
  • Increased impact damage multiplier of flak rounds vs Drones from 2.0 to 8.0.
  • Updated helium, nitrogen and xenon bottle icons.
  • Updated Legacy OPVs with more plasma converters.
  • Updated Zirax Frigate with more loot containers and switched some missile turrets for plasma (I think...).
  • Updated Rados Missile Base with improved sentinel spawns, signal logic fixed and replaced the launch controller dialog, and also stuck BIG GLOWING LCDS telling you where to go.
  • Updated some Polaris trade stations with trader trader missions.
  • Changed accuracy settings of shotguns to improve their handling and the efficacy of shotgun weapon mods.

Misc:
  • Updated workshop description and added new GitHub link for tracking and reporting scenario bugs. Please use GitHub to report problems with the scenario. See the pinned post in the Discussions on the Reforged Eden 2 Alpha workshop page.
  • Fixed Ningues having the wrong orbit, causing RG2 story mission POIs to be missing from orbit.
  • Added carbon surface rocks to the different Taiga biomes on Sienna.
  • Reduced carbon rich rocks on Graphite Rock Formations from 11 to 7.
  • Lowered quantity of graphite deposits on starting planets but increased their size.
  • Adjusted map colors on Barren planets in starting systems to more easily tell them apart from Snow planets.
  • Added a quantum processor to the rewards of several Project Eden missions.
  • Updated more Project Eden block market pricing and crafting templates.
  • Lowered sound volume and/or falloff for many custom explosion effects. Please let me know if they are too quiet now.
  • Updated POI groups for Progenitor data caches.
  • Added new T2 hacking site to cold systems.
  • Removed Advanced Core from Dyson Sphere mission.
  • Various updates to the Project Eden section of the Empyriopedia.
  • Reverted shield impact visuals back to the old ones. Please let me know if you preferred the new ones or the old ones.
  • Updated station services. Reduced repair pricing for most.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Fixed issue where some Landing Gears wouldn't place on HVs.
  • Increased shield penetration of Railguns to 10%.
  • Increased damage multiplier of hand drills vs rocks.
  • Added missing damage multipler on Explosive charges vs xenosteel.
  • Several crafting recipes adjusted to be usable in more constructors.
  • Updated Abandoned Drone Base because of the weirdest bug where a section of floor has no colliders and players could fall through the POI into the void. (I have no idea what the cause is)
  • Increased accuracy of all player gatling turrets.
  • Fixed issue where certain hull blocks would downgrade into the wrong shape.
  • Clone Chambers can now be used on SV.
  • The HV/SV Trauma Station now unlocks after the Clone Chamber instead of the Armor Locker.
  • Updated Zirax ships with accessible cores.
  • Added new Idalia-Class Cutter for the Polaris faction.
  • Increased the transparency of the reflex sight on the T2 SMG, T2 Pistol and T4 Pistol.
  • Reduced the length of the HV/SV Medium Railgun from 7 blocks to 6.
  • Reduced the length of the HV/SV Medium Gatling from 6 blocks to 5.
  • Reduced the length of most HV/SV Heavy Weapons from 10 blocks to 8 blocks.
  • Reduced Blast damage of all CV/BA generators by roughly 30%, since they were doing more than their intended damage when destroyed.
  • Reduced Blast Radius of ammo controllers by 1 meter.
  • Reduced idle energy consumption of CV/BA Turrets and weapons.
  • Reduced active energy consumption of CV/BA Food Processor to match HV/SV Food processor (375w)
  • Added Basic Plasma Turbine (3x1x1). It kinda sucks but people wanted it so badly.
  • Fixed CV/BA Shutter door mass inconsistency.
  • Fixed old values on crew descriptions, plasma turbines and a few other items/blocks.
  • Fixed incorrect value on Capacitor Grip upgrade.
  • Updated Abandoned Bunker with a longer timer on the power overload and a warning message.
  • Updated Com Center/Mainframe with an LCD on the switch in the ventilation. Also switched some troops for sentinels to stop them from wandering and improve spawning times/range.

Misc:
  • Finished the initial POI config updates for all planets and moons now.
  • Added Nova Missile Turret for POIs.
  • Updated raider modulated laser turret stats.
  • Some bandits and raiders that lost their shield generators found new ones.
  • Updated models, animations, and damage multipliers for Project Eden player weapons.
  • Added Project Eden loot back to alien loot containers.
  • Updated weapon visual effect for X-Corp LR-47 Thunderbolt.
  • Adjusted Super Shotgun stats. Firing now restores 25 stamina.
  • Further base attack testing changes.
  • Tweaks to drones in space orbits.

Greatly reduced base attack point values especially at higher playfield levels.
Increased minimum base strength required to trigger a base attack from 20 to 40.
Increased effect base strength has on base attack strength from 0.1 to 0.5.

No idea how these values actually scale, but maybe this will help.
