Yes, several ID#'s may have been effected. There is a reason at the top left it states to only use RE2 blueprints when you are in your blueprint library.

How do I "Get to space" on the prison ship start. I got to the exit of the ship but then it's just the open planet with no quest guidance. Am I suppose to build an SV with zirax and dogs constantly chasing me? (or maybe the scenario broke)

Yes, but a while ago. It is a beast. Each poi is defined by a tier (not level as these refer to the NPCs inside the POI). The Ghyst bunker is a tier 4, so expect it to be nasty!!!! But the loot will be rather tasty😁

Has anyone tried the Ghyst Military Bunker? I saw one pop up on a planet sweep and it looks like a beast.

Gravel? Do you mean Crushed Stone? You only get Crushed Stone if you're digging in terrain that is stone-like. Usually it's better to break surface rocks. See the PDA for more info.

Ist das normal, ich grabe fast bis zum Planetenkern und bekomme so gut wie keinen Schotter. sogar mit dem besten Bohrer ich brauche Ewigkeiten um für Kleinkram zu buddeln die Schotter brauchen.

Oh, the updates aren't a problem; it's not the first thing I've translated. There are programmes that recognise the differences after an update. But thanks for the info :)

@sorbid79 - There are a handful of .ecf files in the configuration folder plus the dialogues.csv, and about 300 some playfield files plus the PDA files where the localization.csv is located.

A full translation is not recommended, as it will take an incredible amount of time to set up, and with each patch that is coming out with the rapid development of RE2 being in BETA, you will have to update your translation... IMO, not worth your time at this point in development.

Yeh I skip HV completely. Can spawn in a small SV within 15-20min of starting anyway. For beginners who are going through the steps one at a time like getting a bike, upgrading to a HV, then getting an SV, it might be something they'd do. But for experience users, it'd much faster to just go straight to a small SV for transport immediately.

yeah, im seeing people want to use them for tanks and such, they just cant. I generally see most people skip them completely or just get them for trees otherwise they are not worth it in any way, they would have to triple the CPU or half the cost of the HV items as right now there is no reason to use one

@Vyanie they are good for one or two single dedicated tasks at a time and are helpful in the beginning when you cant build a small vessel very well. I use them to travel longer distances on the starting planet, to harvest trees, and drill bigger rocks and surface ores. You can use them for deposits but that gets a little tricky. But once I can build a functional SV my HV collect dust mostly

Is there any plans to revamp cpu on HV? They are already a niche and since they have such a tiny cpu with everything costing a massive amount of cpu relative to how much they can get it is kind of making them completely worthless.

RE2 is more difficult than vanilla.
However whether it's more difficult than RE1 is a bit more complicated. In many ways it's easier (medical system, armor/boost system, you have far more tools available to you to tackle the content), but in some ways it's harder (progression, shield penetration).

Hi. I played RE about all the way through a while ago. It was almost too difficult for me. When you say RE2 is more difficult. How do you mean? It was mainly a couple of the POI's that were really really tough. And the end game kriel ships. But everything else was super fun.

Noticed in a thread one player landed on the same planet as I did Deltalan III a large rainforest planet but said conditions were different like radiation, ores and surface rocks. So do the same named planets load randomly as well ?

Yes there will be an update probably after the weekend to fix a couple of the jump gates that aren't working right. That fix will only apply to a new save game unfortunately.

Loving the random starting system, I got a Barren Metal first try where I was in range of a Zirax POI. Second try was a an Irradiated planet in the Wastelands.

Any chance there are Wastelander POIs yet?

There used to be a partially destroyed building by the first spaceport you are directed to, after the Hilderburg. Has that been removed as well as the HV and SV? TIA !

Hi, I am going to be starting a new game soon to access the new stuff.

I wanted to ask if there will be a new update anytime very soon that would require to me to restart a new game to access the any new content?

Bugfix updates i assume will happen but hopefully no new major content push that requires a savefile restart in another two weeks or a little more?

I always recommend new players play vanilla first. RE2 expects people to already know the game's fundamentals so we don't include any kind of tutorial.

So I just read most of what this mod does, and i've just bought the game yesterday, played a few hours already.

After looking at this mod, is there ever a reason to play the base game lol?

This removes all the vanilla POIs and missions etc, replacing with its own. I am assuming because the replacements are just better (no offence to the devs but the vanilla is a bit , bare , and the enemies are unresponsive statues)

Will I ever be able to bring myself to stomach the vanilla after being spoiled rotten by this awesome looking mod lol? Or should i try and do some base game before trying this?

Like going back to £2 steak after eating £1000 steak lol.

RE2 has it's own set of icons where necessary to prevent problems happening when the vanilla game updates. There have been updates in the past on RE1 which caused problems, so when RE2 started development, it was written from the ground up to try and avoid those issues as much as possible. That includes using their own assets where they can.

Please see the change notes to see what was added in the last scenario update.
RE2 already overhauls the star systems, resources, and has completely new missions so whatever happens in the base game with those wouldn't affect the scenario.

This may have been answered, But Does this remove, or prevent any of the Content that would be in the 1.13 Base game? Like the new system overhauls, and Resource overhauls, Story line ECT. ?

Yeah sorry it's hard to incorporate translations when the scenario is still changing so much. And it's not even as simple as just copy and pasting an extra file in as the way the csv files work we also have to verify that all the other languages in the translated file are still up to date and weren't accidentally corrupted during the editing.

It's not really something that's feasible to do at the moment.

Translations for a scenario are a massive undertaking. Even if you translate the language file, there are about 300 other files that still will have to be edited for a full translation. I recently detailed the scope of this in the thread here somewhere...

With that in mind, and the current development process of RE2, I wouldn't expect to see a translation to any languages as its just too much for R&V to handle at this point in time, or ever to be honest.
