Project Eden 2:
Updated site missions (exploration, combat, mining):
These changes are tweaks meant to lessen some of the frustration and confusion of doing sites and provide a smoother experience.
Some changes and fixes will only apply properly to new save games in singleplayer. In multiplayer changes should be applied to existing saves but it may automatically reset everyone's PDA missions.
  • Added back combat sites. (Applies to newly generated star systems only)
  • Added new class 5 combat site to hot systems in Zirax territory that has a Tovera-Class Dreadnought.
  • Added new class 2 combat site to take out a bandit outpost to replace the silent mining ship combat site.
  • Added two new exploration sites (class 1 and class 2).
  • Removed blank popup messages to reduce number of blank popups and audio pings.
  • Increased display time on briefing messages.
  • Site briefing missions are now always visible in the PDA under the Exploration Site, Combat Site, or Mining Site groups, and the briefings have been added to the PDA log in case you missed them.
  • Added reminder message after the briefing that the briefing can be reviewed in the PDA log.
  • Removed optional "remain near" objectives to prevent confusion (required ones remain to make sure the missions don't break and can't be exploited).
  • Changed naming convention to follow a consistent format IE changed Bandit Leader to [ Bandit Leader ].

Misc:
  • Updated Project Eden Unity bundles to LTS v2022.3.22f1. This will require a new download of the cache files when connecting to servers. Sorry about that!
  • Changed all worm style deposits to voxel deposits on all planets that still had them. (Only applies to new star systems)
  • Fixed incorrect power description on wind turbines.
  • Added notes to the descriptions of wind turbines, geothermal generators, and industrial water extractors that this is the best we can do to make them work in a scenario.
  • Fixed exploit allowing for obtaining alien POI blocks in survival.
  • Added rare chance of raw diamonds from harvesting large glowing crystals.
  • Disabled gravity generators on bandit and raider patrol vessels.
  • Removed trading station sectors from appearing in Wastelander territory.
  • Replace RG1 Polaris orbital factory group with RG2 version.
  • Removed more outdated RG1 orbital Polaris POI spawns until they can be updated.
  • Removed unused playfield files from the scenario.
  • Increased rotation speed of Nova POI turrets from 35 to 50. Homing speed from 0.5 to 0.75.
  • Added shield penetration and increased range of Drone Swarm swarm missile turrets.
  • Updated Hive Nursery.
  • Updated logos in the logos folder in the scenario. Added stencils (thanks to Bonedog) and several variations of the RE2 logo for use on workshop submissions. Updated the readme.txt file under logos with more logo info.
  • Fixed description of Advanced Health Nanite Injector.
  • Added 2 new holo screen consoles to the Reforged Eden decorative blocks group.
  • Misc fixes to issues reported on GitHub.


Reforged Galaxy 2:
  • SV Bombs now do +50% Blast Damage against metal hull blocks.
  • SV EMP Bombs now do +50% Shield Damage vs CVs.
  • Fixed some of the new console blocks having 50 hp.
  • Fixed incorrect damage multiplier name for SV Heavy Rockets. (Already fixed in RE2)
  • Changed description of Outdoor Tree blocks.
  • Outdoor Trees hard capped for performance.
  • Advanced Upgrade Kits can be found in Rare Loot Containers.
  • Increased Advanced Upgrade Kit drop chance in Very Rare Containers.
  • Small and Advanced Upgrade Kit amounts to buy/sell from traders increased.
  • Hydrogen Bottles can now be made in the HV/SV Constructor.
  • Overhauled visual effects of Dome Shield Generators. Effects are consistent and include improved damage states and better performance.
  • Added damage states to Plasma Turbine models.
  • New projectile model for Heavy Railgun Slugs.
  • Added 2x2 and 3x3 Junk Thrusters for SVs. Can be bought from Pirate and Colony Salvagers.
  • Fixed issue where the new light variants weren't placeable on HV/SV.
  • Reduced per-shot damage of Zirax Snipers in exchange for rate of fire.
  • Overhauled Fusion Reactor models for better performance and updated visual effects.
  • Added damage states to Fusion Reactors.
  • Overhauled generic loot in standard cargo containers with more loot groups and less loot choices.
  • Added 3 new larger retractable landing gears for CV.
  • Pirate, Talon and Polaris missions can no longer be activated until they've been updated.
  • Updated several POIs and OPVs with minor changes.
  • Added Ghyst Vehicle Bay
  • Added Bulldozer Blade for HV. Decorative object with high HP and extra blast resistance.
  • Added Advanced Technical Deco blocks, which includes signal-controllable standalone turbines (2x2, 3x3 and 5x5).
  • Reduced the explosion strength of most HV/SV devices by 30%.

  • Bulldozer Blade is now a functional device that functions like a Harvester and partly like a Drill. It can harvest surface rocks and trees.
  • Reduced CPU Consumption of the Harvester Module for HVs.
  • Added visual explosion to Portal Block

For server owners:
This game update adds an optional new way for players connecting to your servers to download the scenario's SharedData folder.
Using this new method could reduce the number of disconnection messages and other issues related with players connecting to servers and greatly reduce the download time for some players.

Project Eden 2:

  • Temporarily removed all combat sites based on feedback. Replaced with empty space sectors for now. They might be added back later or remain permanently removed.

Update for Reforged Eden 2 Beta: (Build 12)


This updates Reforged Eden to be compatible with the latest Empyrion game update.
As a reminder: As with any game update, there may be new game bugs introduced with this game update.
Game bugs cannot be fixed within the scenario, and should be reproduced and reported using a vanilla save game following the process on the official forums.
If you believe it is a scenario issue or are not sure, please follow the reporting process linked on the workshop to search for the issue on GitHub and report it if not already reported. If you are playing on a server, please speak with an admin on your server.
Reports that are not made on GitHub won't be responded to.
A new save game for this update should not be required, but it is probably a good idea due to changes in the block config and fixes that only apply to new saves.

Project Eden 2:
Misc:
  • Added Graphite deposits to swamp and mire planets.
  • Added Rados freighters to orbits in Zirax territory. Freighter design is temporary.
  • Added R class systems back to the galaxy so the survey galaxy missions can be completed (only for new save games).
  • Fixed all generators being destroyed on Colonist Light Freighter when the rear thrusters are destroyed.

  • Small tweak to reputation system from reputation loss with other factions when destroying blocks.
  • Updated the Syndicate Munitions Depot class 3 combat site and added it back in. (only functional for new save games).
  • Increased starting reputation with Pirates from 6500 to 9000.
  • Fixed missing icons for object 82 keys.
  • Changed icons used for nanite injector and implant status effects to unique icons so the status info doesn't get overwritten by other buffs.
  • Changed playfield levels from 1-3 to 1-2. This wil result in a lower maximum NPC level in POIs.
  • Increased base credit reward from ransoming freighters from 75,000-125,000 to 100,000-150,000 credits.
  • Added a source of vegetables to Swamp biomes on Akua, Tallodar, and Pandora. Added vegetables to Heath biome on Roggery.
  • Updated drones on starter planets to use the new RG2 Zirax versions. Replaced stun drones with Zirax minigun drones on starter planets.
  • The guardians protecting the Hive Nursery remembered to turn their shields on.
  • Adjusted counts and probabilities for Polaris patrol vessels in orbits. Now more common in cold orbits. Removed T3 OPV as it's not complete yet.
  • Misc fixes to issues reported on GitHub.


Reforged Galaxy 2:
  • Depreciated Ore Scanner. Ore scanners have no use in RE2 and will no longer be craftable/obtainable/sellable.
  • Changed Repair Charge recipe to use components instead of ingots.
  • Normalized temperature values of light, medium and heavy armor variants. (15)
  • Increased temperature and armor value of Multiboosters.
  • Standardized laser penalty vs turrets/weapons for HV/SV Lasers from 10/20/30% to 33.3%.
  • Reduced mass and volume of HV/SV Rockets and Missiles.
  • SV Rockets now do +25% blast damage to turrets/weapons. (Note: Rocket = non-homing)
  • Added Fusion Powerplant T3 POI (Ghyst Reactor)
  • Reduced the number of cores in Legacy Decimators from 3 to 2.

Update for Reforged Eden 2 Beta: (Build 11)

Project Eden 2:
Misc:
  • Added Colonist freighters configured as OPVs to habitable orbits and configured as freighters to cold orbits. Please test in which orbit type colonist freighters seem to work better/have less bugs/despawn normally/etc. Loot a WIP please leave feedback. (Thanks to filbertfarmer, Bonedog).
  • Added ability to demand ransom from freighter captains if you are neutral with pirates and the freighter still has power. (Some functionality only for new games)
  • Added new mission to introduce you to freighter ransoming available at neutral with pirates. (Only for new games)
  • Removed Syndicate Munitions Depot combat site until it can be updated.
  • Changed planetary patrol vessel despawn time from 5-20 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • Removed outdated Polaris lava mining POIs from lava type planets.
  • Adjusted temperature and radiation of habitable and cold space sectors and orbits.
  • Added new Arid Wasteland planet.
  • Updated recipe for Hydroponics Bay (Plant Protein).
  • Fixed several Project Eden ship and POI weapons not having enough explodium. They will now explode with the proper damage.
  • Replaced egg plants with corndogs in some biomes on Omicron. (Only for new games)
  • Fixed schematic errors with unlocking heavy railgun turrets and spinal railguns.
  • Planetary patrol vessels now always show on the map to account for the game bug where they sometimes won't be detected by the detector. Misc tweaks to fix some inconsistencies found.
  • Added loading screen tip about alarm sentries (thanks to Kafoops for screenshot).
  • Adjusted lava moon probabilities.
  • Removed duplicate bundle file in the wrong folder.

Reforged Galaxy 2:
  • Increased Sniper Rifle headshot multiplier from 3x to 4x.
  • Changed Plasma Turbine sound effects from an actual turbine to a deeper bass hum.
  • Added new explosion effects for Plasma weapons.
  • Fixed missing status effect description for Necrosis.
  • Reduced health loss of poison status effect by 50%.
  • Added 7 new Ghyst Defense POIs to replace older placeholder POIs.
  • Updated Kenex Station with corrected marker for Coms Chief NPC.
  • Fixed Gatling and Missile turrets not being upgradable.
  • Fixed incorrect energy consumption of CV shield boosters on the parent block.
  • SV RCS block now unlocks at level 3 and is a prerequisite for the Small Ion Thruster instead of unlocking between the Small Generator and SV Constructor.
  • Renamed Hover Constructor to Mobile Constructor (HV) to prevent confusion with the constructor's shared UI.
  • Universal Constructor should now display "Universal Constructor" in the UI.
  • Added new Freighter loot tables for cargo freighters for bulk resources.
  • Renamed "Plant Monster" to "Dendrillion"
  • Increased drops of Dendrillion with higher chances of dropping Firemoss and Confetti Moss Scrapings.
  • Reduced the per-shot damage of Zirax Shotgunners.
  • Changed blast effect of Plasma Artillery to match Heavy Plasma (for now)
  • Added Icons to UCH-variant Assault Rifle and Shotgun.
  • Antibiotic Pills no longer require 1 Sulfur.
  • Egg Plants now grow eggs. (weird, right?)
  • Blue Peppers now produce 4 Plant Protein instead of 2 Vegetables.
  • Ahax Plants now produce Medicinal Growth instead of Plant Protein.
  • Space Kavae now produce Biological Specimen instead of Natural Stimulant.
  • Affected crops renamed.
  • Eggs and the above grown items can no longer be crafted in the Food Processor.
  • Cactus Terrain crops give 4 thorns per harvest.
  • Non-harvestable cacti can be cut down for 1-2 thorns.

Reforged Eden 2 is now in beta!
Thank you everyone who has helped test, given feedback, and submitted bug reports to help us get to this stage.

This means the scenario should be mostly viable for a survival play through either in singleplayer or multiplayer but of course you'll still encounter bugs.

  • Lowered geothermal generator CPU cost from 5000 to 2500.

  • Added a waypoint on the HUD when you get close to the deuterium miner for Expedition: Dronelands. (only applies to new save games)
  • Fixed Zirax spawning outside of their territory on Frozen Inferno planets.

A new save game is strongly recommended due to multiple changes to the configs. Iron ingots in existing saves will be replaced by the new repair item.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Reputation changes:

  • Removed all threshold reputation losses (losses that resulted in your reputation lowering to a specific reputation level regardless of what level it's currently at). All reputation losses are now flat amounts based on action taken.
  • Removed passive reputation gains while outside of a territory.
  • Attacking a NPC or shielded structure will lower your reputation based on the damage dealt.
  • Reputation losses while inside faction territories from actions such as mining ore, harvesting plants, destroying plants, spawning structures, remaining inside a territory in a ship, and killing prey or predators will still apply based on the faction and are largely unchanged. See the in-game faction info window for details on a per-faction basis.
  • Killing a NPC will drop your reputation by 1/6th of a level (-1000). Note that sentinel NPCs do not tolerate violence and will open fire on you and kick you out of their base if they personally witnessed you attacking an ally even if you are still friendly with them.
  • Opening a container or harvesting a crop will drop your reputation by a full level (-6000).
  • Destroying a block will drop your reputation by 1/20th of a level (-300).
  • Destroying a generator, fuel tank, thruster, spawner, or turret will drop your reputation by a full level (-6000).
  • Destroying a container will drop your reputation by slightly over a full level (-6600).
  • Destroying a door will drop your reputation by two full levels (-12000).
  • Destroying a core will drop your reputation to full hated (-30000).
  • Removed Kriel reputation. Kriel is now a default hostile faction.
  • Removed explosion effect from decorative shuttles so that if they impact a POI it looks like they entered it instead of flying to their doom.
  • Added Icon of the Brotherhood decorative block for POI decoration and future mission or trader rewards. (Thanks to Spanj)
  • Updated refinery defense combat site. Increased shield hp and recharge rate for refinery. Updated defense ships to RE2 version. Added self destruct to defense ships to prevent cluttering on MP. Various tweaks to the mission.

Misc:
  • Adjusted radio audio in trade station sectors so it no longer plays near the center of the sector where the trade stations are.
  • Removed ambient audio in space orbits for all factions except Legacy, Kriel, and Drone Swarm since there's no way to control this audio in the game options.
  • Removed several unused factions from the faction config.
  • Kriel is now a default hostile faction and no longer has reputation.
  • Removed periodic reputation gain for being outside a faction's territory.
  • Fixed missing equipment box in the crashed transport on rogue and dark rogue starters.
  • Expedition: The Forge is now always visible in the PDA. Can still only be activated after completing the Project Eden Prologue and requires having 3 million credits and neutral reputation with Polaris.
  • Updated Hydroponics Bays to be consistent with RG2 stats for plant growth and yield.
  • Updated descriptions on starting planets to fix planet numbering.
  • Updated damage values for Project Eden POI and NPC weapons.
  • Reduced size on tooltip text for medium and heavy railgun turrets to help the tooltip fit.
  • Reduced number of Legacy drones in Legacy infected asteroid fields from 10-15 to 7-11.
  • Added Project Eden recipes to universal constructor.
  • Tweaked description of Kharak version of desert planets to remove references implying it's a unique planet. Fixed faction of Polaris patrol vessel.
  • Removed Zirax patrols from lava nascent and nascent moon playfields that spawned without an associated Zirax POI.
  • Removed Progenitor items (voidium drill, scanner, dark matter containers). Voidium itself will still spawn in the galaxy but cannot be harvested for now.
  • Disabled the warp gate leading to Decay until the Progenitor faction and Decay region can be rebuilt.
  • Updated Orbital Alloy Smeltery with more deco blocks. Now requires refinery license to use the furnaces.
  • Replaced RE1 Polaris factories with RE2 versions. Added Talon factories to most temperate-like planets.
  • Added Fungus planet from the default Invader vs Defender scenario as a variation of Alien planet.
  • Light Modulated Laser Turrets can now be upgraded to medium versions.
  • Removed Heavy Railgun Slug. Heavy Railgun Turrets now use the same ammunition as Medium Railgun Turrets.
  • Misc fixes.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Light Turrets can be upgraded to Medium Turrets.
  • Reduced CPU of CV/BA Shield Boosters from 10000/15000/22500 CPU to 8000/12000/18000 CPU.
  • Reduced CPU of HV/SV Shield Boosters from 500/750/1250 CPU to 400/600/900 CPU.
  • Reduced CPU of Plasma Turbines by 50%.
  • Slight increase to CV CPU Extender CPU output (+2000 per tier)
  • Updated Faction Reputation with new gain/loss mechanics.
  • Due to some people having extremely improbable outcomes with Legacy Bioboxes and Quantum Computers, the drops have been overhauled to guarantee Quantum processor drops with extra components.
  • Reduced the CPU and energy cost of T2 and T3 Wifi.
  • SV Bombs and EMP Bombs can now be used in space.
  • EMP Bombs deal 2x shield damage vs OPVs.
  • HV Constructor can now make Improved HV/SV Fuel Tanks and Generators.
  • Increased CV/BA Ammo Box block HP by 5x.
  • Reduced muzzle climb and visible kick of the MP-24 SMG.
  • Medium Homing Missile Launcher (SV) is now automatic.

  • Fixed incorrect numbers in regular cargo containers resulting in one cargo container having 2.5x more items than it's meant to.
  • Updated Fridge loot to include cooking ingredients first.
  • Reduced particle lifetime and emitter size of smoke effects from damaged weapons.
  • Added new blast effect to EMP Bombs, Drones and POI Turrets.
  • Added new blast effect to Heavy Railgun shots. (Experimental)
  • Reduced sound range of Plasma Turbines (again).
  • Added new sounds to Flamethrower blast effects (Handheld and HV).
  • Reduced ammo capacity of the handheld Flamethrower back to 50 (75 was too much).
  • Hardness values return to Plants, Trees and Rocks on planets. HP adjusted to match. Should solve trees/rocks not breaking when hit by an HV (and launching it into the air).
  • Increased the amount of HP restored to blocks per second by the Repair Bay when repairing block HP (not repairing to template).
  • Repair Mode (NOT repair to template) now uses new Repair Charges as materials instead of Iron Ingots. Repair Charges can be crafted from common ingots and produces 250 at a time.
  • Matter Transceivers can be upgraded and downgraded with the multitool.
  • Added new icons for the T2 and T3 Matter Transceivers.
  • Updated Polaris and Talon Factory POIs. Now contain factory-specific loot.
  • New shield impact effects

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
  • Added new mission: Expedition: Dronelands. You can start it in your PDA after completing the Project Eden Prologue. Mission requires new save game.
  • Updated star class names for drone swarm stars.
  • Increased probability of drone swarm stars along edge of the galaxy.
  • Updated Hive Nursery POIs and playfield configs to use RE2 versions.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Small Food Processors can be made in the HV and SV Constructors.
  • Added a special blast effect for player and AI cores so it's easier to tell when you've destroyed one.
  • Reduced block and shield damage of ground troops vs HV/SV.
  • Increased damage multiplier of various turrets and weapons vs Rocks and Trees.
  • Increased O2 tank size of Light (450), Medium (375) and Heavy (300) armor variants.
  • Fixed bug where Dino Stew didn't give well fed buff.
  • Updated Sector Command with obstacles and landmines around the perimeter.
  • Added the first T4 Super-Dungeon POI (Ghy'st Military Bunker). It's no Sector Command (Which is T5), but it's got a script-driven interior and lots of loot.
  • Added faction keycards for future POI use. Keycards can be used to open locked doors and containers. (Currently only available for the new Ghy'st Bunker)
