After a long period of crashes,
- Peasant Hovels finally gets a new facelift as befitting a newly industrialised humanity. Doing this, because Germany may receive Truppenamt Irregulars, Russians Green Army Irregulars ... but others, most notably Russian, Muslim and Asian factions may also train units from these buildings as well.
- Mulling an overhaul of civvy buildings for this mod, by replacing whole chunks of code with that from Age of Darkness. That, or permanently replacing houses with apartments, and reinstating apartments from the vanilla game.

MArketing materials for the new mod have been added - but promotion of material concerning this new mod is unknown.

Peasant Hovel units need to be decided upon.
Probably:

TIBET - Warrior Hall, Hovel units ought to be the same as those of Temujin.

That still leaves several other possible factions: Greece, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, China.

But then, who else gets Merc Hall and Warrior Hall?

Possibly:

- Peasant Levy: base unit, but can be upgraded.
Ghuzat Volunteers: commonplace amongst all Muslim factions.
- Arquebusiers. Look for the old Chinese units designed for Rise of the Moderns' Yongshengjun and reuse them.
- Anatolian volunteers (Turkey), Dacoit (AFghanistan), Qashqais (Iran) Bashibazuk (most Muslims) (there may be others)
- Green Army (Russian Bolsheviks, Ukrainians only). Can be replaced with Chinese volunteers by Bolsheviks - these should have a ragtag appearance.

So possibly only Tibet, Afghanistan and Mongolia get the Warrior Hall with cavalry being trained from these.

What units can we expect from a Warrior Hall?
- Horse Archers, dressed in the old Turkic style. See kc4-temujin.webnode.page for further info.
- Mujahidin, Islamist guerillas armed with rifles. Essentially an upgrade of Dacoit/Basmachi/Arquebusier.
- Basmachis - rifle-armed horsemen of Afghanistan and Iran.
- Khalkha Irregular Riflemen (Mongolia only)

*most* defensive structures restored but there is still the issue of some strings marked "DEFAULT-AGE9" causing the game to crash. We'll just have to continue with this little game until all buildings are accounted for.

Items added:
- Kraal (Plus Sangar, preparing to create Kreposts)
- Castle, Fortress, Citadel (with Castle deactivated and incorporating items from Steam and Steel)

Considering shipping in civvy buildings from Rise of the Moderns/Age of Darkness for this mod just to ensure that building_graphics can crash no more.

- Finalised AI faction leaders (phew!)
- Mercenary Camp received new graphics.
- Renewed media packs from MOD1, just in case.
- XMLs for units for that mode carried over, since this mod is also being used to prepare for the final chapter, MOD2.

Updating shall continue until all buildings (except defensive structures) are accounted for.

Checklist:
- Finalise buildings
- Finalise Wonders.
- Finalise graphics for all.
- Add modern units and tanks (but do not change unit upgrades or designation).

Once this is done, pass the newly completed parts over to Project Peshawar.

Faction leaders are being replaced - but many leaders are anachronistic, except for Japan, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Poland: many factions borrowed over from Age of Darkness still have WW2 leaders in them.

Started replacing buildings.....

WARNING: Missing graphics for Merc Camp, Warrior Hall - solve ASAP.

British will soon require a graphics for a new Merc Camp. Do something about this ASAP!

FIRST STATUS REPORT

Buildings being worked on.

Wonder entries needing addition:

Australian Exhibition Hall - incomplete. Unknown buffer.
Potala Phodrang - uses Achaemenid palace BH3 but is not coded in.
Australia Shrine - uses fort_shang_83.bh3 as buffer buyt is not coded in.
Financial District - has two different appearances: one is done by ODA, another wonder_bourse.tga from Project 1400.
VicAlbert - take from Age of Steam and Steel
Palais de Porte Dorée - uses Hercules Victory buffer
 Sviatohirsk Lavra - entry is with Hong's mod.


Alien buildings as specified under https://ronwrongturn.fandom.com/wiki/Buildings#Alien_structures not done, ETA unknown.

The location for a 2X Wiki is still unknown. Resources are being diverted toward development of this mod's wiki as well as that of Project Aini.
