ᴜɴʟᴏᴄᴋɪɴɢ ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴏɴᴇʀ
Commoner is our starter class and comes with a few perks to make up for its lack of fighting skills. When equipping skills from other jobs, Commoner has an extra slot in each category allowing to equip more than the other classes. This gives us the opportunity to create "perfect builds" and makes Commoner a very easy class to level.

Commoner specializes in crafting and afk-gathering materials.

🧵 Crafting
[ᴀᴘᴇx ᴏꜰ ᴀʟᴄʜᴇᴍʏ] is an essential skill to unlock this feature and must be equipped in order to craft anything. Each level enables the ability to craft higher level items.

Lv 1 → Craft up to level 9 items Lv 2 → ... level 19 Lv 3 → ... level 29 Lv 4 → ... level 39 (req for high level alchemy qualification) Lv 5 → ... level 49 (req for purchasing some HLA recipes from npc) Lv 6 → ... level 59

ᴄʀᴀꜰᴛɪɴɢ ɪᴛᴇᴍs
Crafting requires recipes and materials obtained through gathering, monster drops or purchased from ɴᴘᴄs and other players. Once we have recipes, we can view a list of materials by navigating to the skill menu [ᴄᴛʀʟ+x] > [ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴅᴀʏ sᴋɪʟʟs] > [ᴀʟᴄʜᴇᴍʏ], and select a recipe to view details.

Unless otherwise mentioned, recipes are usually permanent and always available once we've learned them. Meaning that we can craft them again in the future.

Things we can craft includes armor, weapons, potions, permanent costumes, skill scrolls and finer materials...

🌿 Gathering
ᴀꜰᴋ-gathering materials requires special gathering skills unlocked through Commoner. Once we have those, we can travel to a designated area to start gathering with our tools.

◌ Tools can be purchased from Jezz Marshall located in Eversun City 213 162 (some gathering locations also have ɴᴘᴄs, but not all of them do)

ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴏɴᴇʀ ɢᴀᴛʜᴇʀɪɴɢ sᴋɪʟʟs
ꜰᴀʀᴍɪɴɢ ꜰɪɴᴇssᴇ
Unlocks farming. These materials are used to make skill-scrolls; ʜᴘ, ᴍᴘ and ʜʟᴀ potions; as well as [ꜰʟᴏᴜʀ] which is often used during seasonal events

ꜰᴏʀᴇsᴛʀʏ ꜰɪɴᴇssᴇ
Unlocks logging. Wood is used to make clothing armor and upgrade weapons

ʜᴇɪɢʜᴛᴇɴᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀᴅɪɴɢ
Unlocks herding. These materials are used to make robes and dancewear armor, costumes, skill-scrolls and weapon upgrades

ᴍᴀxɪ ᴍɪɴɪɴɢ
Unlocks mining. Ores are used to make light armor, heavy armor, shields, costumes, skill-scrolls and to upgrade weapons

ʀɪsɪɴɢ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ ʟᴇᴠᴇʟ
Unlocks fishing. Fish is used for making ʜᴘ, ᴍᴘ and ʜʟᴀ potions; and skill-scrolls

ᴛʜɪᴄᴋᴇɴɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs
Unlocks meditating. Meditation materials are used to make weapons and upgrade them, craft skill-scrolls, ʜᴘ and ʜʟᴀ potions

ꜰᴏʀᴀɢᴇʀ ꜰᴀɪʀʏ
Materials ranked level 1 to 4 are fairly easy to gather, but level 5 and above have a very high failure rate. Using a [ꜰᴏʀᴀɢᴇʀ ꜰᴀɪʀʏ] can be useful for these materials. They are available in the shop for purchase; or ʀɴɢ drops from [ʟᴜᴄᴋʏ ʙᴀɢ] which is obtained through the Eversun Event.

Extra skill points
In addition to completing our life quests, Commoner can obtain an additional 25 skill points for free by completing various tasks:

ʙᴀᴛᴛʟᴇ sɪᴍᴜʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴ
For each location, we'll gain a [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴏɴᴇʀ sᴘʀɪɴɢ] after completing our first run

◌ Drill Sergeant : Eversun North 412 324 (level 10+)
◌ Trailblazer : Swan Lake Basin 434 450 (level 20+)
◌ Charleston Manor Man-at-Arms : Blakatoa 205 420 (level 35+)

ǫᴜᴇsᴛ: ᴍʏsᴛᴇʀɪᴏᴜs ᴏʟᴅ ᴍᴀɴ
We can begin this quest as soon as we're level 15+ by speaking to the Mysterious Old Man in Copperhorn Mountain 207 368 where we'll be tasked to collect 20 [ᴅʀɪᴇᴅ ʟɪᴢᴀʀᴅ] by killing Lizard Leaders, Big-Lidded Lizards and Lil-Lidded Lizards.

Once we have those, we'll travel to the ironmonger in Darkdale city 229 276 and ask Master Refiner Eustace to cook our dried lizard into a [ᴅɪɴᴏ sᴀᴜᴄᴇ] -- which we can then give to the Mysterious Old Man back in Copperhorn Mountain.

If we've completed this quest before the Abandoned Mortuary quest, we'll gain access to the Inn Basement instead of obtaining a [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴏɴᴇʀ sᴘʀɪɴɢ]. Simply repeat the quest to trigger the reward; or speak with the Mysterious Elder in Eversun City 190 283 to begin the Abandoned Mortuary.

ǫᴜᴇsᴛ: ʜᴇɪʀ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰᴀʀʀᴇʟs
While this quest requires us to be only level 20, it is much easier to complete in a team or at a later time, once we've unlocked more crowd control skills to prevent the ɴᴘᴄ from dying during the quest. The [ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴏɴᴇʀ sᴘʀɪɴɢ] is rewarded on the 2nd run.

This quest consists of keeping the ɴᴘᴄ alive while waves of zombies appear. We can speak with the Heir near the entrance at 287 299 inside the Farrell Family Crypt (eversun north)

Leveling
Unlike others, Commoner has extra skill slots available; making this class quite fun (and easy) to level once we've unlocked a few other jobs. We can also increase our leveling opportunities by allocating stat points that serves multiple builds: wisdom / agility for swapping back and forth between supporting and m.dps, for example.

Since Commoner starts with neutral stats, we'll be able to suit this job to whatever play-style we prefer. Below are some recommendations for each type of build:
🤺 Attack speed
An attack speed player is a primary source of dps in a duo, or solo. This person should be able to attack very fast and have a relatively decent cooldown on self-buffs. To view our current speed, open the sᴛᴀᴛᴜs ᴡɪɴᴅᴏᴡ [ᴄᴛʀʟ+ᴀ] ➝ sᴛᴀᴛᴜs, and look for attack speed. It will be very low at first, but with buffs and consumables, it can be increased to a maximum of 20!

ᴄᴏᴍʙᴀᴛ
Self-buff with p.atk and atk speed, then attack enemy as quickly as possible.

sᴋɪʟʟs
ᴛʜʀɪꜰᴛʏ sᴀᴠᴇʀ
Passive. Increases the healing received from ʜᴘ and ᴍᴘ pills (fixed; not DoT)

ʀᴇᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇɴᴅᴀᴛɪᴏɴs
Stats
Agi - Decrease skill cooldown Dex - Increase chance to land a crit Pow - Increase p.dmg

Common builds
• full dex • 102 dex, then full pow • allocate 2 dex + 1 pow at each level up • allocate 2 pow + 1 dex at each level up • allocate 2 pow + 1 agi at each level up

Gear
Armor - Clothing (body+pants) and dancewear (shoes+gloves). Increases our atk speed by 20%. Weapons - Baton. Or Saber from blademaster

Optional consumables
ᴍᴀɢɪᴄᴀʟ ᴄᴀʀʀᴏᴛ Increase p.atk. RNG drop from boxes sold by Gilda Silva (Eversun City 168 219) ʏᴜʟᴇ ʟᴏɢ Fully recovers ᴍᴘ and ʜᴘ. Obtained from Trader Girl, cash shop and christmas events ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ sᴘᴇᴇᴅ ᴘɪʟʟ Increase atk speed ʀᴇɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴘɪʟʟ Increase ʜᴘ recovery rate ᴀsᴘᴅ sᴀᴅᴅʟᴇ Increase atk speed ʀᴇᴄᴏᴠᴇʀʏ sᴀᴅᴅʟᴇ Increase ᴍᴘ and ʜᴘ recovery rate • Pills and saddles are purchased from guild merchants, cash shop and from the Shady Dealer in Eversun City 281 142

sᴋɪʟʟ ᴄᴏᴍʙɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴs
Building a powerful attack speeder on Commoner is super easy with the extra skill slots available. Ideally, we'd bring blademaster and witch doctor skills; along with dancewear. The rest is up to us to bridge the gap between whatever we'd normally be lacking. Equipping a saber provides more p.atk, but Commoner's default baton works fine if we can't equip it.

🦄 Pet musician
Being a pet musician can be a fun way to level and is normally very solo friendly. As for ᴇxᴘ share, our pet may be up to 5 levels below or ahead of us; any more than that and we will not receive ᴇxᴘ from their kills.

ᴄᴏᴍʙᴀᴛ
This section assumes we are mostly sitting back and letting our pet do all the work. We could also fight alongside them, at which point any recommendations from the 🧙🏽‍♂️[sᴋɪʟʟ sᴘᴀᴍ] section would be a great addition to the recommended skills below.

There are a couple things to consider when choosing a pet for leveling purposes: mainly, their damage output and attack type. Certain pets perform better at ᴀᴏᴇs than others, while some prefer to buff their owner rather than fighting.

A strategy for soloing large mobs is kiting: running in circles while the monsters are following us. If we're in a party with a tank, we'll need to wait for them to use [ᴍᴏᴄᴋ] or [ᴡɪᴄᴋᴇᴅ ᴡɪɴᴅᴍɪʟʟ] before we can cast our skills. This ensures we won't accidentally die from stealing the aggro (if it happens, we can lower the level of our skills in the skill window [ᴄᴛʀʟ+x])

Commoner class can craft armor, weapons, potions and other items

TO CRAFT

Open your skills menu ctrl+x > everyday skills > alchemy
A new window will open, this is where you can find recipes that you already own. Once you own a recipe, you will always be able to make it (it's not one-time use)

If you look in your status window ctrl+a > attributes, you will see what your commoner can equip. By default, commoner can use clothing. So if we go back to the crafting window, we need to select "clothing type" and then you'll see a list of clothing you can make. Mouse over items to see info, like armor level, etc

If you want to know what materials you need to make something, just click on the item you want to make. A window will open. On the right, you will see the materials needed. The numbers in blue are the quantities required and the yellow numbers represent how many qty you have in your inventory. Once you have materials, you can click the button to make the item. Success rate not 100%

LEARNING RECIPES

This ought to be my favourite thing in this game :hmm: Most maps will have hidden recipes inside blue cauldrons ;o The hidden ones are free and will mostly consist of helm, hand, shoes and potions. Most body and pants recipe need to be purchased from NPCs. Weapons can be stolen from monsters if you use pilfered skill from Thief -- or purchased from NPC.

I recommend doing the alchemy tutorial in eversun city if you haven't yet. Talk to Working No.1 located at 229 161

LEVEL UP ALCHEMY

There are 2 things to keep in mind when leveling alchemy. First, to level up alchemy, you simply need to craft things. Anything. You'll gain alchemy exp, and you can see your current alchemy level in the skills menu ctrl+x > everyday skills. Locate 'alchemy' and look at the level listed just underneath. That is your crafting level.

The second thing to keep in mind, is that eventually you'll hit a cap and won't gain anymore alchemy exp... To raise the cap, you need to put points into a commoner skill called "Apex of Alchemy." Lv 5 Apex is required to make level 58 items. Though a lot of people say lv 50+ armor is cheaper bought from NPC than making it, so you might be alright with Lv 4 Apex. Also, this means you'll have to level up commoner a bit so you can invest in the Apex skill.

ALCHEMY MATERIALS

Alchemy materials can be found anywhere, pretty easily. Some of them are drops from monsters, whilst others are farmed with your commoner skills. You'll do pretty good if you get them all to Lv 4. If you don't feel like killing monsters or afk farming, most farming mats can be found in stalls. The ones located near Ironmonger in eversun city usually specialize in such materials. The NPC dressed in blue just nearby also sells monster-drop materials :) There's another NPC like that in each city and they sell different materials.

HOW TO LEVEL COMMONER

As you've already noticed, probably, commoner doesn't have any fighting skills. You'll do alright just by poking things up to level 17 or so; afterwhich it really becomes a chore... To level this class faster, I recommend leveling up a different fighting class and then go to the Dojo in eversun city to sub the fighting skills onto commoner.

Dancer aoes is pretty fast if you just want level 20ish; and can solo.

Mercenary is a pretty good thing to sub on commoner as well, since they are always needed in a party; and so hard to find T_T

If you plan to solo commoner, then i'd recommend blademaster and witch doctor, do an attack speed build so you don't have to worry much about mana; and bring hp potions.
