Description
What This?
This is will make the default game a little harder than original one. Not only does it increase the number and size of the ships that spawn, it also includes improved designs for almost all the AI ships.

For the stronger factions ( Sentenels, Crysallids, and Tinkrell) this means small adjustments to make them more survivable. For the weaker factions (Farmers, Reds, and Bees) this means a complete redesign of most of the ships to make them more dangerous. The starting faction has not been edited at all, as that's what most players are playing.

The Peaceful and Cautious AI tags have been removed for the farmers. The Bad Aim AI tag has been removed from the Reds.

I did my best to maintain the look and balance of the original game while providing a more interesting environment. If you start out with the full 8000P unlocked, you shouldn't have any trouble with this. But if you start a fresh game, you should die a lot more often than you did in the vanilla game.

Compatability
This mod is completely compatible with z0mbiesrock's Playable Borg mod. Make sure this mod loads above the Borg mod in the load order. If you do not have the Borg mod, you'll notice that the Borg faction is set as playable. I did that so the two mods would work together, however, this mod does not contain z0mbiesrock's modded Borg blocks.

It may conflict with the Bigger Map mod. Not sure because I don't use it, but it might.

ERROR
When you have this mod loaded, Reassembly should report 12 errors. This is a good thing.
I edited some of the default AI behaviors, that's just notification that I overwrote some of the faction.lua entries. Totally cool, and should be like that.

Still Too Easy!
If you want more difficulty, use one of the More Agent mods. I like this one.


Updates
7/7/16: Went through and fixed a few bugs.

11/16/25: Fixed large Farmer missile not appearring in palette.
6/25/15: Updated region file to not conflict with faction mods.
6/27/15: Added the global fleet settings back in now that I have it working without conflicting with other mods.
Change a few faction 3 ships. I wasn't happy with a few designs, cosmetic changes only.

You can only use one at a time. Not compatible.

this mod is great! im enjoying playing as the crystaline for once and i do enjoy the fact that the reds are actually quite strong

I didn't go any farther than that though, otherwise the Sentinel-Tinkrell factions would have been over the top.

Great stuff, wish it had more ships at various P though. And maybe put in tournament winning designs ?

@breakthrough Fixed that. I made like 20 ships for that faction and somehow managed to not use that missile on any of them. :)

The large farmer missile is not available to unlock in the upgrade menu.
