Description
Piranha Plant chomps his way through the competition! Piranha Plant is an all-rounder who excels at pressure and stage control with his great projectile and ranged attacks!

Moveset


Neutral Special: Ptooie
Piranha Plant spits up a spike ball and holds it above his maw! Holding special keeps the ball bobbing up and down, letting go will drop the ball for swallowing!
Tapping a direction will cause plant to blow in that direction pushing the ball with its distance based on how close it was to his mouth upon blowing!
- The ptooie can also be knocked around by players and even used against you, so be careful!


Side Special: Poison Breath
Piranha Plant spits out a cloud of poison. Holding special allows you to keep charging. Upon letting go of special you can angle the move up or down (in the air)
The Poison Cloud (Only when its Fire/Poison) can also be blown up with the fireballs/explosion from BAir for a strong poisonous explosion!
You and any other Piranha Plant on your team can pull the cloud around with USpecial! (This does work for other Piranha Plants by other creators!)


Up Special: Piranhacopter
Piranha Plant spins his leaves around quickly and goes up! You can tilt left or right, but doing so will make you go less vertical!


Down Special: Long-Stem-Strike
Piranha Plant recoils into his pot before charging up. Upon releasing, Plant will shoot forward and bite! On the ground this move is a restricted to tapping one direction and falling, but in the air you have 360 degree aiming!
Be warned though, this move has a big hurtbox along the stem!


World 1-2

Piranha Plant also comes with a stage; World 1-2

Extras
- BAir and FSpecial have unique effects when under the effects of powerup flowers
- Certain attacks can be held to pose
- Some alts have different projectile sprites!

@MiningBoy Depends on what you mean by "teased" As he was visible on our roster images (the little boxes with characters) but greyed out (meaning incomplete). During that time he was more-so an idea that I wanted to do. But when the Mario Jam happened is when development really started, though I lost motivation nearing the end (though I had gotten a huge portion of him done at that point) hence why he released far after the jam had ended. But if I was to give a rough time-frame I'd say a few months of proper development time once I had properly started.

Right, the main reason for Ptooie being able to hit around more closer to gordo was mainly to give it a flaw but also a new use case. As it can be very good for Plant himself to hit it around, but it can also just as easily be turned against him. The parrying thing is very true though, I could maybe make Ptooie not spike shortly after being parried so it'll pop you up instead.

ptooie being reflected by damage is new to plant (in the smash design ptooie is closer to mii brawler's shotput than king dedede's gordo when it comes to projectiles with hitboxes and hurtboxes) which is weird, but fine, I guess. it also spikes now, which is cool but means that ptooie to cover recovery is now pretty bad actually I think (now a parry is like instant death as the parried ptooie shoots straight back down to spike at 100mph). and dair seems to have a little pogo to it on hit which is fine and good all it means is I'm gonne need to remember i have to actively hitfall in every situation to chain dair into grounded moves, but thats just pure skill issue
