Halo UNSC Marines Character Pool

This Character Pool contains 120 fully-customized UNSC Marines, blending lore-accurate characters from Halo games and novels with a large roster of original Marines designed to fit naturally into XCOM 2’s gameplay.

A significant portion of the roster features named Halo characters—from the Human-Covenant War to post-war operations—each with a custom biography faithful to their source material. All Marines are equipped with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary–style armor, chosen for its variety, authenticity, and customization options compared to other sets on the Workshop. This allows for unique, lore-friendly appearances while keeping flexibility for gameplay.

For authenticity, appearances are tailored to visually align with their intended role while working smoothly with XCOM 2’s class gear. For example, Grenadiers wear heavier-looking armor without backpacks to prevent clipping with the default grenade launcher, while Marksmen feature lighter, streamlined kits that pair cleanly with long rifles.

Since class mods vary, this isn’t a perfect one-size-fits-all approach—but I’ve included plenty of “Blank Canvas” Marines in standard armor, ready to adapt to any role without visual conflicts.

SNCO / Officer

Plus 50 Standard Marines in regulation armor for maximum flexibility.


1. Click “Subscribe" then "Subscribe to All” on this page.
2. Enable the subscribed mods in your Mod Launcher.
3. Import the pool in-game by going to Character Pool → Import from the main menu.

*Note
Although the Reach Redux: Army Troopers and Reach Redux: Army Addons mods list dependencies, you can safely ignore them—they’re superseded by the a few mods listed in the requirements.


Halo Weapons – Adds a full suite of iconic UNSC and Covenant weapons (e.g., MA5C Assault Rifle, BR55 Battle Rifle, Sniper, Energy Sword).
XSkin by Iridar – Lets you reskin individual weapons via an in-game UI, great for visual variety across your Marines.
Choose My Class (WOTC) – Allows you to pick a class when a rookie gets promoted.
