Description
What is Highlander?

Highlander replaces a big portion of the game's code in order to make it more moddable and mod-compatible, as well as fix a lot of bugs.

As implied by the name, only one Highlander mod can be used at a time. Hence, the Highlander tries to address as many use cases as possible. Not counting fixing bugs, the Highlander does not change the behavior of the game, it merely provides ways for other mods to do so.

Everything that goes into Highlander undergoes rigorous testing and peer review.

How do I use the Highlander?

Subscribe to the mod and enable it in your mod launcher like you would any other. You should see the Highlander's name and current version appear in the lower right corner of the game's main menu screen.

Alien Hunters DLC Plugin

If you have Alien Hunters DLC installed and enabled, and you are using this version of the Highlander, then you also should install the [WOTC] Alien Hunters Community Highlander plugin as well.

Do NOT install that plugin if you do NOT have the Alien Hunters DLC.

Is there ever going to be a fix related to TLP weapons not upgrading if you buy the upgrade while they're equipped on a soldier at a covert op?

That's probably a non-WotC mod you were trying to run via AML.

everything worked fine with mods until now, the game crashes on startup

Ok, this version has been re-uploaded with the proper ID set. First time for me actually updating the stable version so I missed a build step.

Your English is better than my Russian.

The beta version of the Highlander and this, release version are now the same. So missing dependencies can be ignored.

If you have a running campaign I'd suggest staying with the version downloaded from Github, but if you can I would swap over to this Steam Workshop-hosted version.

OH, sorry for my English! I downloaded the latest version 1.30.4 from Github. When I open the AML, the BETA version is indicated. Other mods that require a stable version send "missing dependencies" warnings. Can I ignore these?
