Description
PLAY THIS ON "SINGLE MISSION" ONLY

CURRENT VERSION: Beta 0.6
To-Do before 1.0 release:
- fix stuff based on comments

Invaders: Slovenia (allies)
Defenders: Yugoslav Army (axis)

Important notes:

-As you can see, THIS IS IN BETA, released now so I can work on the next mission as you all test this and report anything, so please complain a TON in the comments. I am aiming for this to be memorable and replayable at the end of the day, so if anything is off in terms of gameplay, balance, whatever, I want to hear it so I can take a look and make this mission (and all future ones) as great as possible

-The default bot count is balanced for playing as the Slovenians and it is very hard (give or take, depending on what mood the AI is in) to the point where you will be punished severely for your mistakes. To change the difficulty, adjust the JNA (Axis) and Slovenian (Allies) concurrent count to your liking.

-To properly play as the JNA, raise the concurrent allied count to around 65 and lower the axis count to 15. You can vary it slightly from there if you still don't find it challenging.

Tips for winning/dying less:

As the Slovenians:
- In some cases, you will be handsomely rewarded if you can bring a squad from a certain phase into the next one (one example: the TO assaulters in Phase 1 have a radioman. There’s no Slovenian artillery in Phase 1 but there is in the 2nd.)
- There are many intact vehicles left around the map (including abandoned Yugoslav Army vehicles) that you can enter. Keep an eye out for them.
- We may have taken the Army by surprise but they will not be surprised forever. Watch for any emplacements or snipers that may show up as you advance further and further.

As the Yugoslav Army:

-You have a big advantage in vehicles (most notably helicopters). Use them to take out anything that might bite you in the rear.
- Your infantry will spawn far away from the objective in most phases. Try and find a defensible position to hunker down and stay alive in.

Possible Questions:

Q: “Why is there so much open space in certain segments?”

A: This war (and battle) did not last very long so there likely wasn’t a lot of defenses or debris building up over time (unlike most future battles I’ll be covering). I added some to alleviate this, but remember, smoke shells and grenades can go a long way.

Q: “How historically accurate is this?”
A: The map itself is based off a mix of historical photos and the location as it is now in Google Earth. Aside from a lack of specific buildings due to prop limitations (And the presence of civilians, a "believable lie" I added for some variation), it should be as accurate as I could make it with the time I took.

Q: “Is this balanced for singleplayer/multiplayer/co-op?”
A: It's designed for 4v4 multiplayer but can function with far more as the player spawns (aside from tanks) do not have a respawn timer. I haven't tested it myself though as I do not have enough friends :(

Q: "Do I need DLC for this?"
A: Nope! Awesome, isn't it?

Q: "Holyyyyyy ♥♥♥♥ why I die so much!?"
A: This is war, not a John Lennon concert. Gotta use your wits to die less, soldier

(Jokes aside, do report any "impossible spawns", so to speak. There shouldn't be any, but I will look at any that are reported.)

@some äustrian guy No. The rewards aren't worth it and (again) I'm not joining any Discord servers, even to submit a contest entry. The feedback I get on the missions I put out is rewarding enough.

Do you plan to submit your campaign in the Easyred 2 custom campaign contest? I think you have a pretty good chance of winning and your campaign follows all the rules

@Delta_ Much thanks, I highly appreciate it.I just have to finish up the pack of Croatian vehicles I'm working on and I'll devote near-total attention to finishing up the next map and thus the next mission.

As for multiplayer, I did try hosting my first mission to try in multiplayer with a friend once and two randos ended up joining briefly before leaving. Besides that, I don't know how to get people for an MP match of this. Someone could probably organize something on the ER2 discord server if they're that interested, but it won't be me as it would take time away from mod work and because I despise public discord servers lol. But still. here's to hoping (plus, it would help me balance weapons better. I can't adjust things for multiplayer properly if no one does it in multiplayer.)

Absolutely Amazing work, The attention to detail and history with all of the mods you've made to recreate this conflict is actually mind blowing, you really deserve a pat on the back! on a side note I'd love to see this played or any of your future missions in MP :steamhappy:

it's alright

@James Birdfield Much thanks, I agree. A lot of the Zastava models are from one of those Arma 2 mods so I apologize if they look a little off (I assume that's what "wired" means) but using them saves a lot of time in the long run so that you and others can get these maps and missions much sooner. I might rework the metal textures in the far future which might make them look a bit better, but I personally think they're good enough for now.

ahhhh man that's cool!!your mod is the best Sugoslavja mod imo
better than the bf2 one and the two of arma2 i think
(the low poly zastavas are a little wired, though)

@helmet_man头盔人 I just replayed it and beat it again as the attackers, with the default balancing, so it definitely is doable. If you're still finding it too difficult, do what I said in the description and raise the max concurrent allies and lower the max concurrent axis and you'll get different results.

@James Birdfield Yes. I've started the map a while back and I've made the two props needed (the Old Town and Fort Imperial) already, and Croatian homemade weapons are currently being modeled and animated. Plus, I can finally use those ships I added to the pack earlier.

Cool ! So what's next ? Dubrovnik ?
