Eventide Warcasket

Description
Adds more spacer-tier warcasket content to supplement Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates.





Starting as a remake of one of my older mods, Apeiron Warcasket, this mod reintroduces the concept of a warcasket geared toward kiting (now with even more Armored Core).

Due to the remade visuals, Odyssey orientation, and tweaked balancing, it felt appropriate to convert this project into a separate mod.

Ideally, the eventide warcasket should increase the variety for viable spacer-tech warcaskets late game, as I'm surely not the only one who realized that the sarcophagus warcasket is king (flanked only by supportive warcaskets).













♦ Make adjustments to the balance of these items
♦ Add a variant of the warcasket
♦ Possibly repurpose the old Apeiron Warcasket design for a "legacy" warcasket?
♦ Possibly a means to adjust the balance of some warcaskets with optional patches?



How do I craft the warcasket weapon?
♦ It is crafted like a building, located under the architect/security tab.

What happens if I don't have Odyssey active?
♦ The "vacshock" debuff simply won't appear.

Can enemies use this content?
♦ Not currently, as the spam was atrocious during playtesting. Given that the equipment shouldn't be OP to begin with, this shouldn't be a big concern. This may change in the future.

Does this mod work with CE?
♦ Not out of the box. I don't use CE so I do not know how to balance it.

What a wonderful mode!
But it's too weak for flames.
The equipment is 100% heat resistant
Why is it 100% flammable?

Not to mention if the warcasket is the only thing keeping the pawn alive (like the sarcophagus casket) they would die the moment they took it off

yeah, thought about it better after posting the comment, it would be strange since you cannot usually remove them from the warcasket too, so no way of repairing the armor also

No warcasket has HP

This would be really bad because pawns lose their arms and legs +get a permanent debilitating debuff when removed from a warcasket

The armor does not have hp, so it never degrades? I don't know if there's a reason to this (lore maybe) but while using yayo's combat the armor user turns basically immortal because of this. There are plans to add hit points to the set?

I would argue it's less spammy since it doesn't shoot bursts but fair
I'm hesitant to play it, it looks great but I don't really like the special effects, they're too flashy, I prefer your other work
