Fray of the Fog

Description
Adds assorted things related to Fray, an eccentric archotech signal that has taken a liking to your colonists.

Inspired by mods like Archotech Expanded, Fray of the Fog aims to introduce a young hyperintelligence to the post-Anomaly DLC pantheon that grants players the ability to craft resources, equipment, and bionics leading into the endgame.

Pierce the psychic fog with new ultratech research and make contact with the gold-blooded Endless Waves. Her love and frenzy will grant your colonists favor beyond human reckoning.

• Arms - Enhanced melee speed
• Legs - Jump ability
• Eyes - Enhanced psychic sensitivity, aiming and learning
• Heart - Improved baseline performance
• Liver - Regeneration
• Spine (Requires Biotech) - Enhanced mechanitor stats

• Ultravigor gland (Requires Big and Small) - Enhanced size and non-passion learning
• Psyskin gland - Enhanced heat resistance, scaling with psychic sensitivity
• Altermind jaw - Work speed boost ability
• Psymind assistant (Requires Biotech) - Enhanced consciousness and mech gestation speed

Balance can change with feedback or new additions as I do not subscribe to the notion that archotech content should just be blatantly overpowered. If you encounter any issues, help me fix them with logs or steps to reproduce!

• Biotech
• Odyssey - Unique weapon traits, vacuum resistance
• Vanilla Psycasts Expanded - Eltex added to certain recipes
• Adaptive Storage Framework
• Big and Small

• Long melee mechanoid
• Warcasket weaponry
• Purifier machine capable of converting anomaly materials
Fixes for a few issues including crafting speed and non-airtight frayweld

Some of the textures in the preview images are from Vanilla Expanded, SimpleStairs and Pavimentum. If you want to try to remove a thing, try Cherry Picker.

Known Issues
• Unconfirmed: infusion bionics likely don't work with quality or integrated bionics since the hediff changes

Is there a way to toggle the shoulder graphic for Fraytech arms?

I know you're planning on making warcasket weaponry, but what about the warcasket itself? Would a fraytech warcasket allow for a form of psycasting? I know it would require a good stockpile of ambrichor to maintain until fully infused.

also frayweld is deep scannable and I have no idea how that works in medieval only

you can also get frayweld and frayfur from traders
that being said, you might be able to rationalize the items in this mod more like magical artifacts but yeah some things might need to be changed (ultratech research station linkable) and the sound effects might be kinda no good

The primary 'component thing' of the mod is either crafted with advanced components and neutroamine, or from a rare chunk of fraytech falling from the sky. The 'material' of the mod is crafted with uranium and plasteel IIRC, found in slag chunks that need smelting from destroying the fallen fraytech previously, or deep drilled underground. Frayfur you get from rarely encountering a frayhound.
In summary, it probably is possible if you find a mod to tweak some crafting recipes.

Not only is it not researchable, but I doubt that bionics, combat robots, power armour and laser guns fit in a medieval-only game.

Is any of the tech in this researchable in a medieval only playthrough? I'm using a mod that caps tech to medieval and am just wondering if there is any reason in having it enabled for it or not?

If I have any ideas when I finish this current project, sure
Crafting station and mechanoid are higher priority

Are there plans for more fraytech bionics and implants?
