L118 Light Gun - By SnailGoat

Description
The 'L118 Light Gun' is a hyper realistic, team oriented artillery mod, designed to capture the full complexity of operating crew served artillery weapons in the indirect fire role. Designed for a crew of between four and eight, players must manually complete every task involved in the laying and firing of the L118 light gun, from unpacking individual projectiles, fitting and setting fuses and preparing propellant charges. Projectiles and cartridges must be manually loaded into the gun before it may be fired.

The model is a compromise between the L118-A1 and L118-A2 variants and includes a rudimentary targetting computer for laying the gun on target. The computer is fully interactable, requiring direct mouse input from the gunner for entering gun and target coordinates and computing firing solutions. The standard artillery mechanics within ArmA III are unavailable.

The gun may be packed down for towing and sling-loading, enabling rapid deployment in remote locations. The pack-down process requires a minimum of four players, working in unison, to properly secure the gun for safe transport to a new firing location. Incorrect or incomplete pack-down may result in damage to the targetting system while en-route, so take care! The mod also includes a towing pintle which may be attached to any vehicle from any mod. The pintle itself is also fully modelled, requiring multiple players for hitching and unhitching the gun.

The L118 requires 'CBA', 'ACE3', and the 'Hatchet Interaction Framework', mods as dependencies. All gun and ammunition handling operations make use of the Ace system, while the use of the targeting computer and gun controls relies on the Hatchet, interaction. It is recommended, therefore, that players become familiar with both of these interaction systems before attempting to operate the L118.

NOTE: That no gun interactions can be used, and no item can be picked up if the player is already holding another item. This INCLUDES the player’s weapon!! It is recommended to drop all rifles, side arms, launchers and binoculars before attempting to operate the L118.

See the included L118_UsersManual.pdf file for full operating instructions.

@SnailGoat - I found that when i'm in local LAN, the mod give the 9999 code, but wen i do it in single player, works perfect, idk why

@Thaking-YT - The targeting computer returns a 9999 code when no valid firing solution can be found. Check that the coordinates are input correctly and that the target is within the minimum and maximum firing ranges (2-17km). Some maps have inverted or differently scaled grid coordinates resulting in errors ... what map are you on.

When i put Comp with the coordinates, its says 9999 in the number display and doesn't let me change anything

@CPL A.Cain - There is a known bug where the gun sometimes spontaneously detonates when firing at high barrel elevation angles. It has nothing to do with number of rounds fired ... simply random. The most recent update *might* have fixed this issue.

So running into a issue where we fire around 30 rounds, then the gun blows up.

And you, my friend, are the true hero. It is this game's crappy old engine that has limited your talent.
