Fort Maps for Encampment Stance

Description
This mod replaces the battle map with the special camp battle maps when the defender is in an encampment stance

  • When an army is attacked (not by ambush) while in an encamp or raiding camp stance, different camp maps will be used according to its culture. Tomb Kings' entombed beneath the sands stance, Dark elves and Vampire Counts' raiding stance will have camp map.

  • If the defender army remains in an encamping stance for two consecutive turns without moving, it will use a larger camp map or even a walled map, and a model will appear around the army on the campaign map. If the army stays in an encamping stance for three turns without moving, the largest camp map will be used.

  • Some cultures like Chaos Warriors, Beastmen, Wood Elves, and all Chaos Daemons do not have camp maps with city walls or barricades. Special army types such as Cathay caravans and Chaos Dwarf convoys also use camp battle maps when defending.

  • In some special circumstances like disbanding an encampment army, the camp model on the campaign may not disappear until the next turn.

  • You can set the starting and maximum fort size, minimal units to expand the camp, and whether the caravan uses a camp map with the MCT mod in the game's main menu.

Due to technical limitations, the toggle-able building system cannot be enabled in land battles currently. Therefore, the barricades in the camp map can only be destroyed by artillery and do not provide ability bonuses to units positioned on them. Currently we also haven’t found a way to add siege vehicles to the battle.

Compatible with saved games, multiplayer and campaign map mods like Immortal Empire Expanded or the Old World. The original Fort Mod is required. For mods adding new cultures, the Empire's camp battle map will be used by default without special compatibility support.

will there be any chances that there will be sub mods that adds forts for the factions that dont get them. Little surprised the warriors of chaos dont get access to forts or wood elves

@Lukram That is by design, and you can disable it in MCT if you don't like it.

I want to clarify, in the Beta version there is a change regarding "ladders", in future versions they seem to plan to remove "pocket ladders" and replace them with mechanical structures (like a siege tower), will this mod work with such innovations?
After all, without them, attackers can win sieges on a stone fort only with siege guns, or with units that can break down gates.

This mod has quickly become one of my must-have mods for every run no matter the faction; Fantastic job! The only feedback I have is that the actual fort maps could use a bit of aestetic fine-tuning to look more like actual defensive camps the armies would set up rather than being just squares of walls clearly placed down just to be walls.

The AI does not know what to do in fort battles that have no walls like the orcs. They just stand there and get shot.

I love this mod its awesome! But can you please give Tzeentch a better fort? They have no walls or anything, just a big tower in the miffle of the map. Chaos and other demons have always a blank boring map design so I was hoping yould ass them a camp too with walls, just in a tzeentch touch
