Description
A Definitive Ammunition Overhaul & Expansion For DayZ


This mod aims to completely overhaul all of the ammunition calibers in DayZ, adding more variants for each caliber, and making all bullets behave in a realistic manner, as well as adding additional calibers for use with existing & future weapon mods.

The goal is to have this weapon mod be a foundation to be used by most weapon mods out there, and any future weapon mods, so that all weapon mods can use this ammunition, making it vastly easier for server owners to utilize different weapon mods without having to worry about having 10 different 50cal types, each only compatible with a specific weapon from a specific mod.

The types.xml and classnames list can be found in the extras folder. All classnames are prefixed with "DLT_"

Main Features

True to Life Ballistic Performance

Each of the 130 ammunition variants is configured to match as closely as possible the expected performance of the same round in the real world. This includes:
  • Penetrating power

  • Ballistic Coefficient (air friction)

  • Projectile weight

  • Muzzle velocity

  • Accuracy (MOA Accuracy)

  • Damage drop-off
Furthermore, with the addition of the Delta's Ammunition Info UI mod, players can gain a visually appealing & easy to understand insight into the specific properties of each ammo variant, such as health damage, shock damage, armor damage, speed, and more.



Detailed Models & Textures

Each of the calibers and variants have new models & textures, made to match their real-world equivalents as closely as possible, creating a more immersive overall experience, and allowing players to visually distinguish between different ammo variants.

Included in the mod are additional compatibility PBOs (found in the "extras > !Compatibility PBOs" folder) that allow the mod to integrate into 17 of the most popular weapon mods:

I'm always looking to make it compatible with more weapon mods, check my discord[discord.gg] for a more up-to-date compatibility list and PBOs.

You are free to re-pack ONLY the PBOs within the aforementioned "extras > !Compatibility PBOs" folder, and NOT the main "Delta_Ammunition.pbo". Feel free to create your own compatibility PBOs to make the mod compatible with other weapon mods :)

There is also a "Delta_Ammunition_DoubleStacks.pbo" file, which as the name implies, doubles the max stack amount of all of the ammunition.

The mod is compatible by default with all vanilla firearms.

More Ammo Variety

Each of the calibers are split into 4 "Tiers" (with the exception of 5.56, .45 ACP, and .408), based on their overall performance and capabilities. These variants can range from Hollow-point, soft-point, armor-piercing, or even sabot projectiles. Certain situations may favor lower tiered hollow-point ammo better suited at delivering maximum energy to the target, rather than going full balls-to-the-wall ultra armor piercing rounds, which trade off their overall health damage for more penetrating power.

I have balanced the damage values for all of the different ammo types to work best with Forward Operator Gear. So performance may vary if you are using a different/modified armor mod.

Backwards compatiblity is good thing to have, and its safer to have the both 9mm Mak and 380

9x18m Makarov is kind of pointless as a new cartridge, as all weapons in the game that would use it are using .380 ACP already, and the rounds are very similar. It would perhaps make sense to just replace .380 with 9x18mm.

omfg, i have to remake all of my saami mods now

My problem is with Morty weapon, I find a Morty weapon with mag or only mag loaded with the amo from this mod. If unload an reload directly teh amo doesen#t fit in the sam mag, also amo I found doasn't fit im Morty mag / weapon....something wron weith my server / palyer install ? It was running well but since 3 / 4 weeks it is like that
