Description:

Faster Terraforming, working with current game version (as of 29/4/2025)

The following facilities are included in this mod:

AI Forestation Plant
AI GHG Factory
AI Magnetic Field Generator
AI Carbonate Processor
AI Core Heat Convector

AI Small Lake
AI Medium Lake
AI Large Lake
AI Huge Lake

New Technologies:

Tech Tree - Faster Terraforming
Unlock for each building (5 Techs)
Unlock for Lakes (1 Tech)
Powerless Forester (1 Tech, makes Forester use 0 power)
Self Sufficient Lakes (1 Tech, makes Lakes use 0 water and oxygen)

All facilities cost more to build, consume more power, water, resources, including Rare Metals. This balances them out so you have to work to unlock them. They also feature no upgrades. The base value is all it will produce to make it less "cheaty".

All Technologies are unlocked in the same way as all other techs (either research the previous tech to unlock the next or use the explorer to scan anomalies)

The buildings should auto remove when they are salvaged, but for some reason that has not always worked during testing, it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't... I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it...

What if we wanna be "cheaty"? :festepuppy:

For some reason, the AI lakes isnt working for me. It worked fine until i upgraded the self sufficient tech. The lake will begin to fill, get up to about 3 - 5% full and then empty, bringing the water terraforming down with it.

thanks for your thorough testing, I am guessing because it's a major game changing modification that it will only work on a new game and not a current save ? I will add that information to the mod description. Thank you

I remembered that I had the same problem with the mod UCP-UnofficialContentPack adding a lot of new buildings, but the solution to the problem was just starting a new game, maybe it's a bug in the game itself.

Found a way to reproduce my problem. Start a new colony without this mod and save the game. Enable the mod, load the save and the section in the technology list will be added, but will be empty.

Disabling all mods in the old save didn't help either. I turned on all the mods along with yours and started a new game everything worked fine. I tried disabling your mod save the game, and then enable the mod again and load the game, but the list of technologies displayed normally. I have not found the cause of the problem on my side, perhaps there is some bug in the old save.

This is a conflict with some mod, I started a new game only with your mod and everything worked, turned on all mods and everything in works, but on the old save technology does not appear. I will try to disable mod after mod in the old save.

Just installed the version of the mod from Steam, the same problem in the technology menu appeared section “Faster Terraforming” but it is empty. Version 1.04-113. I will try to disable all mods except yours and start a new game.

@DarkEvil I've not been able to recreate the issue you have described here. I think the in game mod manager is not syncing properly with the website, I would recommend deleting the mods from the in game mod manager, close the game and goto parodx mod manager in your browser and subscribe to them from there or subscribe to them from here for the latest versions. (If you can see the steam links in the description you have the latest version... if the links are not showing, you are on the old version that is still broken

Thank you for the info, I will investigate it and have it by the morning :)
