**This mod will work as a standalone**

Automated Factories (updated) - Title explains it all... Unlocks workerless factories
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3471230616
Automated Techs - Unlocks technologies to make these buildings unlockable and upgrades efficiency of them

If you have Green Planet DLC, my other mod - Faster Terraforming also works well in conjunction with these mods.

Description:

Automated farms, working with current game version (as of 27/4/2025)

The following facilities are included in this mod:

AI Hydroponics Farm - Life Support/Auto Farms
AI Farm - Life Support/Auto Farms
AI Fungal Farm - Life Support/Auto Farms

New Seeds:

GM Seeds - Hydroponic Farm/GM Seeds
Large GM Seeds - Farm/Large GM Seeds

All facilities cost more to build, consume more power/water/resources and feature no upgrades. All facilities use Rare Metal to build since they are open from Sol 1 and not unlockable, this is my way of making you have to work for them.

The base value production is all it will produce to make it less "cheaty". All buildings can be set to turn off at night if you are using solar panels for power.

They should auto remove when they are salvaged, but for some reason that has not always worked during testing, it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't... I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it...

This is what the code looks like when I unpack the mod.
In "icon =" I changed your username to mine and the menu icon began to display.

Because it is not a game or mod breaking problem, I will work on it while I am working on my current mod, it may take a couple of days to get an update released :)

that's strange, due to the mod upload, it should change the file path to wherever the mod is installed locally, the same as all the other icons for the buildings etc... I will try to figure this out and update when I have a solution. Thanks for the info

The same problem is also present in the Automated Factories mod

Yes indeed version of the mod I had 1.3, installed 1.4 from Steam, but the problem is the same, the category building menu appears, but it is without an icon.... I unpacked the archive with the mod and in the icon field you have a route to the file on your computer, on my computer it will not work. I corrected the username to my own and the menu icon appeared.

@DarkEvil v.4 is up and running fine now, but for some reason in the mod manager within the game it still shows v.3, so I don't know if there is a problem with it being uploaded to in game, but on the mod page on paradox website and here on steam it shows v.4.

So I would suggest either waiting for the in game mod manager to update (you'll see at the top it says v.4) or unsubscribe to it in your mod manager and resubscribe either through steam or paradox website, reboot the game and it should be working fine.

Thanks for the info, I will delete it from my system, download from in game and investigate it, should have it fixed by the end of today :)

The construction menu icon is not displayed. Empty blue hexagon, as if no png file is specified for the menu subcategory. The icons of the buildings themselves are displayed normally. Mod installed from the game menu, not from Steam.
