I was deep into the game when they suddenly disabled a content pack. The developers aren't even actively working on the game anymore. Now my progress is gone. I'm uninstalling this and moving on. Wont ever buy a game from this dev again.

The game is really fun and engaging, I have a bunch of DLC from a humble bundle, so I'm not sure what aspects are DLC and not. I would recommend it really, but...

There is one big big flaw that makes the game a real big pain.
It keeps crashing and losing hours of progress in total.
It has crashed when my headphones switched from phone audio to PC audio.
It has crashed when I switched to the underground layer map.
It has crashed when I've left it on pause for a while when doing other things.
It has crashed several other times as well.
This is all within one single game, steam saying I've played for 40 hours.
The game seems so incredibly fragile, and last patch being 18 may 2022, I don't see that changing at all.
But should this crashing behavior be fixed in the future and I'm notified of this, I will change the review to a positive one.

If you are going to play it, and it admittedly is fun when it doesn't crash, for the love of god, save often.
There is autosave, but by default it is set to be every 5 ingame days (sols).
The very first thing you should do when opening the game is to go into options and change this to autosave every 1 day.
Even with that, if you pause the game and make some elaborate plan of structures to build, save afterwards or you will, in rage and disappointment, go in here and write a negative review.

I'll continue playing, when I feel up to re-planning what I just lost and what made me go here and write the review, but consider crashes part of the gameplay and plan for them...

This game is just confusing, great concept but i never feel motivated to actually be productive in this game because i have no idea what to do. every tutorial i find on youtube aint much better. woudnt recommend imo. my brother got me this game and i feel ungrateful that i dont like the game all that much. sorry bro. just too confusing for my underdeveloped bowl of mashed potatoes brain to understand lol. feel free to reply to this comment if you guys have any tips, i prob will turn back to this game someday.
