WHummus' Calamity/Thorium Balancing

Description
A mod that utilises tPackBuilder to create as cohesive an experience possible between the Thorium and Calamity mods!

Changes include:
  • Modifying item recipes to fit into Calamity progression
  • Adding recipes to keep Thorium and Calamity recipes consistent
  • 4 Weapon Reworks (Mycelium Gatling Gun, Calamity Bell, Radio Mic and Lamentation)
  • Balance changes to Vanilla, Thorium and Calamity weapons with the aim to make every weapon viable and fun to use for when they are available

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • Added a text warning on start-up warning to turn off Ragnarok Mod's "Generic Weapon Tweaks" config, since if they are on, the balance changes from this and that mod stack in unintended ways. This message in question can be turned off in configs of this mod too
  • As well as this in Ragnarok Mod's configs, Calamity Bard & Healer deduplication needs to be set to off for certain armors to be correctly craftable

    Update version 1.3.8.3:
  • Fixed a compatibility issue where right click scythe throw code would overlap with Infernal Eclipse of Ragnarok and make it behave incorrectly
  • Made the Slime God paladins, Perforator worms and Profaned Guardians immune to the Stun debuff. Profaned Guardians are now also immune to the Oozed debuff too
  • Buffed the damage of the Profaned Scythe from 200-240
    Ported from Infernal Eclipse of Ragnarok
  • Ported the Calamity reforge system to the Bard and Healer classes
  • Added the anti-bard multiclass system where if a player uses a bard weapon, then switches to a different class of damage, they will lose their empowerments gained (note this only applies to the initial player, not teammates who received those same buffs)
  • Updated the Broken Oath multiclassing debuff to also lower the players bonus healing by 10

  • Reduced the thrown scythe damage penalty on scythes have received a throw to 10% from 20%
  • Increased the damage of the Crimson Scythe (13-14), Hyphae Baton (15-16), The Windmill (16-20), Phantasmal Edge (220-320) and The Executioner: Mark 05 (220-270)
  • Reduced the damage of the Ice shaver (12-11), Archerfish (25-21), Dragon's Tooth (124-94), Astral Ripper (200-150), Singularity (110-80), Death Adder (200-180)
  • Added 1 soul essence gain to the Wooden Baton and Ice Shaver
  • Updated the Bountiful Harvest stingers to have local iframes so it's easier for multiple stingers to hit the same enemy
  • Increased the throwing distance of the Ice Shaver (40-45), Crimson Scythe (60-65) and Dark Scythe (60-80)
  • Increased the size of the Ice Shaver (x1.2), Dark Scythe (x1.1), Crimson Scythe (x1.2) and The Windmill Whirlwind (x1.5)
  • Increased the size of The Executioner: Mark 05 explosion (x1.5)
  • Reduced the attack speed of Wind Reaver (8-22) but increased the size of the wind slice projectile (x2-x3)
  • Fixed some bugs with the Wind Reaver where the projectiles rotated with the player where they shouldn't and stopped visually fading out at the end of their lifetime
  • Fixed an issue where the size increase of the Palm Cross projectile wasn't working correctly

  • Added a right click function to the Phoenix Staff, giving it Flamethrower behaviour that inflicts the Holy Glare debuff
  • Increased the defence gain from Obsidian Scale to be 4 instead of 2 to match Blacksmith's Barrier
  • Increased the damage of the Staff of the Frost Hydra (100-300) and Desert Tiger Staff (49-60)
  • Increased the size of the Marble Scythe (x1.75) and added a tooltip explaining the Holy Glare debuff
  • Removed the stat increases from the Champion's wings as it's wing stats have been separately increased by Unofficial Calamity Bard/Healer, now being a sidegrade to skyline wings favouring vertical over horizontal movement

  • To keep up with the Wulfrum Weed Whacker, the Thorium Heavy Scythe now also fires 2 homing energy bolts per swing
  • Removed the cooldowns of the Executioner's Contract and Sealed Contract in line with the new rework
  • Removed Titan Scythe from the list of throwable scythes in line with the new rework
  • Removed the original buffs however bonus crit rate has been removed from the Dragon's Wail (20-0) and Dragon's Gaze (20-0)
  • Reduced the damage of Dread Fork (147-130) and Demon Blood Sword (70-60)
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (10-0) but increased the damage (43-62) and fire rate (20-10) of the Demon Blood Staff
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (20-0) and damage (64-24) of the Dread Blaster
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (16-0) and damage (89-49) of the Titan Scythe
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (16-0) and damage (115-36) of the Titan Boomerang
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (20-0) and damage (177-155) of the Dread Razor
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (5-0) and damage (92-58) of the Dread Tearer
  • Nerfed the innate crit chance (5-0) and damage (104-36) of the Demon Blood Ripper

  • Added a small icon to the mod courtesy of KaiTheExaminer
  • Increased damage for the Shu's Wrath (47-80)
  • Increased the attack speed of the Lodestone Bow (30-20)
  • Reduced damage for the Bloody Wand (18-15) and Lodestone Staff (38-34)
  • Reduced the crit chance of Valadium For Blaster (6-0) and Valadium Bow (6-0)
  • Reduced damage (30-26) and attack speed (20-28) for the Vega Blaster

  • Added the Infernal Eclipse of Ragnarok: Weapons DLC as a hard dependency of the mod (As it's content patches up many spots in the game where Bard/Healer content is missing for Calamity)
    Ported from Infernal Eclipse of Ragnarok
  • Tier shifted the Necrotic Skull from post-Skeletron to post-Skeletron Prime
  • Removed the bonus defence from the Pick-Shaped pebble and Fan Donations

  • Removed the innate crit chance (12-0) and reduced damage (31-28) of the Pocket Energy Storm
  • Removed the defence increase from the Abyssal Shell (4-0)

I'm confused on how to run this. Tpackbuilder isn't updated, and auto disables itself when enabled. Am I supposed to downgrade my tmodloader? Am I missing a setting that will let me run "technically" out of date mods? I'm at a loss here.

@Mitsuki20000 I'm on the same boat. To play Thorium and Calamity in an balanced way sounds amazing. Installed all the required mods (+ the typical QoL mods) and ventured out into a fresh world. Just noticed that some recipes has changed so looking up an item you picked up to see what you can do with it via "Wikithis" isn't always fruitful. A recipe checker mod is a must have!

So are there any way to make thorium potion ingredient fish be compatible with the alluring bait acessesory, as currently while equipped the bonus to extra potion ingredient fish does not seem to apply to thorium's potion ingredient fish such as flaming crack-gut etc.?

@StarlightKnight These have been removed in favor of Calamity Mod's flasks, as these combined proved a bit strong as they could be used together.
