Allies Unknown Redux Species: Saurians

Description
Description
This mod adds a new recruitable unit to XCOMs alien roster:

  • For the base cost of 60 supplies, saurians are hulking creatures, tougher and more resilient than your average soldier. Stat-wise they have 10 mobility (2 lower than humans) and have 3 more HP and about 15 more points of Will in average when compared to regular soldier. In addition to that, they start out at -10 defense, making them slightly more likely to be hit. However, the saurians' first ability--Stand Against Armies--grants them a bonus to crit chance and defense per enemy they can see up to ten enemies (default 2.5 per enemy for both, configurable); meaning that, if your saurian is surrounded, they'll actually top off at 15 defense! Their second special ability is Let Them Come, a free action that makes the saurian more likely to be hit, drawing enemy fire, but grants them resistance to all damage for one round (default is 67% damage reduction, also configurable). As they are likely to get hit a ton, Saurians are used to recovering after battle and heal 25% faster than regular soldiers.

Don't forget to go to Options > Gameplay and set the slider for the TotalWar Warhammer Lizardmen to the minimum so that humans don't generate using Ninya's cosmetics.

Holy Hell the Saurian cosmetics have too many dependencies
Yes. Yes, they do. But most of them aren't necessary for the mod to work so you can stick exclusively to the dependencies of this mod and they'll work just fine. See more in the Requirements section below.

But wait these are oddly similar to your Argonians module...
They are similar to the original argonians, yes. Recently, however, I updated the Argonians mod to include an alternate kit for them that better match their skillset from Skyrim. If you are using both this module and the Argonians, your Argonians will use the alternate kit so that they are less similar.

Cosmetic Options
You have free range to use regular soldiers' cosmetic options on the Saurians--is it necessary? probably not, but honestly restricting cosmetics on the Grineer caused such a headache that I felt like leaving them open was for the best. Who knows? maybe that custom torso deco you like fits them by happenstance.

Additionally, Ninya's mod comes with more cosmetic options than the saurians can be generated with; these options include plated and powered armor pieces as well as body paint options under tattoos. After your soldier gets generated, be sure to search for the Lizardmen cosmetics to make them stand out more.

Known Issues
Due to their lack of last names if you want to use any console commands that require the soldier's full name you have to type it like this "LizardName " the space at the end is necessary or it won't work.

Requirements
Obviously Allies Unknown Redux is required to be able to recruit saurians to your forces.

Mitzruti's Perk Pack is required for the icon used for the saurians' ability: Let Them Come.

To be able to see your saurians, you'll need WOTC - Total War Warhammer 2 Saurian Cosmetics, as all of the cometics used are from their mod.

All-Armour Avenger and Configurable Headshots are a cosmetic-only requirement. Neither mod is needed but your saurians will look like humans on the avenger and their headshots will be clipping through their snout otherwise.

Invisible Body Parts for All provides the invisible heads for the mod, as well as allowing you to select 'empty' items on the body part slots. However, it is not a hard-requirement. If you happen to use my Argonians Species Module the saurians can use the invisible heads provided by that mod's cosmetics. Similarly, Unrestricted Customization Redux also allows for you to select 'empty' body parts. If you already use both of these mods you can skip Invisible Body Parts for All.

Credits
Thanks to Ninya for allowing me to use their amazing saurian cosmetics for this mod.
Thanks to Mitzruti yet again for the amazing Chimera Icons Perk Pack, where the Let The Come ability icon comes from.
Thanks to EvilBob for making a custom icon for the Stand Against Armies ability.
And huge thanks Fancyneer for helping me get the vibe of the lizardmen and helping balancing their abilities, as well as for giving me all the Warhammer lore I needed to make them lore-accurate.

Very weird. I could get it working just fine with the heads from Invisible Body Parts for All. Sorry that I couldn't say for sure what was happening.

Okay that seems to have done it. Still no new face options but at least now I can change the color of the neon pink one.

I guess I'll try installing the argonians mod and see if that works.

There are just no options under the face tab for me, only the two mentioned before. I don't understand why, I have all dependencies installed.

I can't seem to reproduce it. It works fine with the invisible heads from the Argonians, and I've just tested with the invisible heads from Invisible Body Parts For All and it all seems to be working.

I haven't tested it with the Star Wars Heads at all and it all seemed to work fine. I'll double-check and see if I can reproduce it.

So I cant change the color of my saurians, the star wars heads that are a requirement for the cosmetics mod dont appear in customization so my only skin color options for saurians are brown and neon pink. Any idea how to fix this?

Can you do Allies unknown for the Eldar, Dark Eldar and Tau?

Neat!

@saximaphone yup! there was a slight oversight on my code. It should be working properly for whoever isn't using UCR now
