Have you ever wondered what it would be like if the survivors we all know weren't carriers?

Well, for your benefit or misfortune, here comes another cooperative challenge full of new threats and difficulties.
Here you will be tested in the usual environments and why not, in custom ones too, but this time the virus will affect you like any normal person. Nothing about taking a zombie beating and coming out unscathed or so. The slightest touch with an infected will have your minutes numbered...

In the style of Resident Evil: Outbreak, The Walking Dead, State of Decay, 7 Days to Die, and why not, Left 4 Dead, I sought to expand the concept of "Infection" in the survivors and try to recreate a possible panorama of what the game could be like by integrating this basic concept into the universe and mechanics of Left 4 Dead.

How does this concept apply to the game?
When starting a campaign, survivors will start out clean and healthy, but if they take damage from any source from a special or common infected, they will contract the infection. This will cause the affected survivor to weaken, losing health as time passes. Regardless of their health bar, the infection will degrade their health more and more to the point where simple bandages will not solve the problem, restricting the maximum healing capacity depending on the degree of infection the survivor has. The infection does not stop on its own and grows over time while it's active. Additionally, it can be accelerated if more damage is taken from infected.
But not everything is irremediably lost, there are ways to delay, stop and eliminate the infection if medicines are combined appropriately. How? Well, for now, figuring out how to combat and survive this new version of the green flu it's on you. Good luck survivors...

My eighth Mutation for Left 4 Dead 2. Yes, I have more saved that I will probably release here in the future as well.

Information and recomendations:

- This mutation uses a very complex Vscript of no more and no less than approximately 4000 lines. (I'm still not very used to complex functions, so I went for simple code with workarounds). And so far it is possibly one of the most complex Scripts I have ever made.
- Despite how optimized it may be, sometimes it can be a little memory-demanding with the game's engine. This doesn't mean that your game is going to crash in a guaranteed way or with very high chances, far from it, but combining it with other Scripts that modify some game mechanics can cause the game to go crazy or the mutation not work as expected.
- My recommendation is to disable complex scripts that have to do with the Cvars and the medical system (more specifically, the statistics of items or the health properties of the survivors).

But, if you come across a bug that might have to do with the mutation in some way, you can share it here and I'll do my best to try to find out what's going on and if it actually has to do with the mutation itself.

Maybe, cuz I have the test script saved too.
So yeah, maybe in the future I'll make this a standalone script instead of a mutation.

@Withgreen1 I added Death Check Toggle on my collection yesterday after finding that mod myself lol still ty.
I also am jumping from stuff to stuff idk im trying to use workshop stuff to make my idea a lot more faster to achieve. I might raise Keith's hp to 300 idk still thinking on it. I hope you make the infection thing soon lol It would make so much sense but of course I need to buff him a bit more to balance all of the stuff.
For example I found a great zoo map but it is survival, would be amazing to make it be a (survive for 5 minutes and a helicopter will save you) kinda thing, idkk I can tell you more if you wanna hear, i might post my idea on reddit too
