Birds of the World!

Description
This mod adds random birds from all over the place. Which birds are in the mod are chosen COMPLETELY at random using the "Surprise Me" button on Birds of the World website (gotta use that annual subscription in SOME way, right?). I mostly made this as a fun project to learn about birds I may never have thought about otherwise.

"Will 'x' be in the mod?" The answer is... maybe. This mod is being made as a hobby for my own enjoyment, and all species are being picked entirely at random, as the mod aims to showcase birds that might be lesser-known. If you're feeling generous and want to sponsor a specific bird to be in this or another mod, buy me a Ko-Fi![ko-fi.com]

Species Included:
- African Grass-owl (Tyto capensis) - spawns in grassland and shrubby biomes
- Black-winged Cuckooshrike (Lalage melaschistos) - spawns in temperate forests
- Blue-tailed Hummingbird - (Saucerottia cyanura) - VERY TINY and spawns in tropical biomes
- Caica Parrot (Pyrilia caica) - spawns in tropical forests
- Philippine Fairy-bluebird (Irena cyanogastra) - spawns in temperate forests; *custom variant coding!*
- White-browed Triller (Lalage moesta) - spawns in temperate forests. Yes, this is a second Lalage species. I'm serious when I said these were picked randomly lmfao

Species In Progress:
- Caspian Snowcock - (Tetraogallus caspius)

Features:
- Flight (for most species) - REQUIRES PATHFINDING FRAMEWORK IF USING RIMWORLD 1.5!
- Custom sounds
- Custom color variant generation (for some species), courtesy of @steveo.o on Discord (check out Steve's mods!)
- Accurate activity periods (nocturnal birds are active at night, etc.) - REQUIRES VANILLA EXPANDED FRAMEWORK
- Avian Genomes can be extracted from corpses/live birds if Vanilla Genetics Expanded is installed.
- Compatibility with the following biome mods:
Advanced Biomes
Alpha Biomes
Biomes! Islands
Biomes! Oasis
More Vanilla Biomes
Regrowth: Core

Future/WIP Features:
- More birds!
- Baby/Juvenile sprites
- Custom skeleton sprites

Known issues:
- Anomaly DLC, v1.5: Birds with flying sprites are unable to use flying skeletal sprites, meaning skeletal shamblers will appear non-skeletal if they fly
- Birds are SMALL with vanilla zoom abilities. Get a mod like Camera+/SimpleCameraSetting to zoom in on the little guys c:

Hi!
It is possible to have more owl? It can sound strange, but they are my favorite birds and would lile to make a colony around owl.
My favorite species are Otus Scops/Eurasian Eagle-owl (bubo bubo) and long-eared owl.

Thank you for this mod :D

This mod will continue to stay CE incompatible until they release their 1.6 version, b/c I need to see if they're doing anything special with flying creatures.

Alright thanks

Yep CE is your issue then, sorry

I do have CE and the bird was the Black-winged Cuckooshrike

I'm about to go to bed, but I can look at rebalancing in the morning if any birds other than the Owl are killing people lmfao

The owl is around the strength of a Vanilla Fox I think

@Runic I need more details
- Which bird
- Do you have CE installed (this will make the birds extremely unbalanced if so b/c none of my mods are patched for CE)

None of the small birds are stronger than a Vanilla rat, last I checked. If it was the Owl, that checks out

One question, I tested this on naked brutality but, why does 1 bird kill 1 human?
