Description
Updated For Patch 5.0

This mod reduces the base campaign movement range by around 20% (20 points) and lowers the costs/impact for all stances by 20%. This affects all factions, including the AI. Heroes are not affected.

The goal of this mod is to:
- Effectively increase the size of the map
- Reduce snowballing from settlement to settlement each turn
- Encourage more strategic movement choices
- Increase the number of land battles

Save game compatible, but the movement range change will only apply on the start of the next turn.

The nerf only applies to some lords but not to others. Not sure why

Considering that pretty much all movement range bonuses are % based then a flat 20 removal from the base amount would also reduce how much the % bonuses give across a whole playthrough

@Matlock It deducts a flat 20 points from the base movement range. Of course you can still increase it as normal, but it would always be 20 points less that in vanilla.

I usually pair it with another unpublished mod of mine that reduces the bonus movement range granted by heroes.

Is this penalty additive or multiplicative? if it is additive it really is just a true penalty at the start of the game or for factions without movement range heroes and other buffs.

Late but it didn't seem like Sailing is affected by this mod @Surg3on
At least if it does its negligible to the point where I didn't notice it.

Love it ! but... is sailing distance affected? Its already quite slow. I'm happy to DL a different mod to fix the issue but wondering if they'll just conflict.

@SaladOhm I just did some quick testing. The movement range mods are save game compatible, but will only apply on the next turn in an existing save.

Hey Ace, can you confirm whether or not these mods are save game compatible? I've been testing them out on an ongoing campaign but didn't notice a difference, I just wanted to make sure if these are mod limitations, intended direction, or something missing? Thanks!
