解説


For CK3 version: 1.14.2.2



The purpose of LMF is to add more realism and more roleplaying options to the aspects of CK3 that center on relationships, marriage, and family. From ensuring that the AI makes more sensible choices for spouses and lovers (no more young lovers paired up with old crones) to adding more interactions with your family & heir to adding more noble maidens as marriage options... there's a lot here to add to your game.

Also included is the ANSF3 mod, which allows you to construct a family for your custom rulers:





Yes, some. The mod increases the number of children overall (since more courtiers are getting married). If you're concerned, there are game rules allowing you to restrict or even shut off many aspects of the mod, to make them less burdensome on your PC.



It's NOT going to play well with Total Conversion mods - the bigger and more expansive the mod, the more likely there are going to be conflicts, even if it appears like the mods load together fine.

It's also not likely to play well with other mods that touch on the same subjects, as there are a number of places where LMF needs to include the entire vanilla event file (pregnancy & birth files, in particular).

Speaking of credit, a few acknowledgements of my own:
  • Obviously, the A New Sensible Family 2 mod. My updates have been spun off into its own A New Sensible Family 3 mod by request, for use by those who simply want to access it without the rest of the tweaks LMF provides.

  • The features involving marriage AI and additional young maidens being added have their root in the Less Old Wives and the More Babies for Counts & Dukes mods, both of which haven't been updated in quite some time. I've almost completely reworked the code by this point, but credit's still owed for where I started.

Please feel free to report any issues (ideally in a discussion thread) and I'll deal with them as promptly as I can.

@Sykotic Hmm. Looking in the actual modifier list, it looks like there's a bonus for an actor (the proposer) having high dynasty prestige but it doesn't check the difference between their prestige levels... the check is for a difference in tiers. So, no, you'd have to code an entirely new modifier.

I still wouldn't add one, myself. Having high-dynasty prestige families unwilling to marry dynasties of lower prestige would have an undesirable effect on the AI behavior.

@Sykotic That's dynasty prestige, which already has an effect - if a small one. It can't be too big or, in the early stages of the game, almost nobody would marry anybody.

Great mod thanks! Would it be possible to add a mod option that family reputation is taken into consideration? So if your family is obscure a reputable family would not marry with you even if you are a duke or king?

@Rakdos72 It'll generally say in the event what she's mad about (or what you're mad about, if it's you that's mad at her). Secret lovers only come up if the other character knows the secret.

Also depends whether this was an instance of you getting the feast event where a family member becomes your rival vs. the feast event which is specific to your spouse... which I think it might be, since I think the former would only end your Soulmate status, not go all the way to Rival. I thought I'd restricted the spouse from being part of the latter, but I see the code currently lets them slip by if they're a vassal or close/extended family. If that's the case, the reasons for the rivalry could be wider, but I'll close that off shortly.

@Rylock That's a shame about the travel issue but I totally understand, hopefully Paradox can rework how Grand Weddings operate in general because there's a whole slew of vanilla bugs associated with them.

As for the scorn event, I was completely faithful to my wife and I can't think of anything which must have ticked her off. We weren't relatives either. The only thing which might have influenced the event was she had the seductress trait, although neither before nor after the event was she revealed to have been unfaithful. Is it possible the event only checks for a lover secret and not whether the secret has been revealed?

@Rakdos72 For the first... not really, I'm afraid. They're always going to want to go back to their "home" court before going to an event, so unless I change their home court (and that would just cause different problems) that's just what the game wants to do.

As for the second, I take it you mean the Scorn feast event, where your spouse is mad at you about something you did, like sleep around on them? What is your issue, exactly? You think it was unjustified? You don't think a soulmate should be mad at you about anything? Or you just don't want any events where you and your spouse can fight?

I don't think she'd be eligible for the Acrimony event (where one attacks the other and they become rivals), unless... hm. Are you a close/extended relative with her?

Great work! Love playing with this mod rn but two things keep coming up which bug me:
Arranging a grand wedding through an introduction causes a delay if when waiting for the betrothed to return to their home court after a successful introduction, is there a way to have the couple both stay at your court?
I turned off family feasts since I received an event where my soulmate-wife became my rival. Not sure if this is intentional, if it is I would prefer an option to disable this and similar events since I don't want my kids to see their parents fighting.
