For CK3 version: 1.14.2.2



The purpose of LMF is to add more realism and more roleplaying options to the aspects of CK3 that center on relationships, marriage, and family. From ensuring that the AI makes more sensible choices for spouses and lovers (no more young lovers paired up with old crones) to adding more interactions with your family & heir to adding more noble maidens as marriage options... there's a lot here to add to your game.

Also included is the ANSF3 mod, which allows you to construct a family for your custom rulers:





Yes, some. The mod increases the number of children overall (since more courtiers are getting married). If you're concerned, there are game rules allowing you to restrict or even shut off many aspects of the mod, to make them less burdensome on your PC.



It's NOT going to play well with Total Conversion mods - the bigger and more expansive the mod, the more likely there are going to be conflicts, even if it appears like the mods load together fine.

It's also not likely to play well with other mods that touch on the same subjects, as there are a number of places where LMF needs to include the entire vanilla event file (pregnancy & birth files, in particular).

Speaking of credit, a few acknowledgements of my own:
  • Obviously, the A New Sensible Family 2 mod. My updates have been spun off into its own A New Sensible Family 3 mod by request, for use by those who simply want to access it without the rest of the tweaks LMF provides.

  • The features involving marriage AI and additional young maidens being added have their root in the Less Old Wives and the More Babies for Counts & Dukes mods, both of which haven't been updated in quite some time. I've almost completely reworked the code by this point, but credit's still owed for where I started.

Please feel free to report any issues (ideally in a discussion thread) and I'll deal with them as promptly as I can.

@Chewy LMF includes ANSF3, so if you use LMF you don't need it. If you did include them both in your playlist, however, the loading order won't matter.

This works wif ANSF3 right? And what about the load order, should it be top up or top down? Before or after ANSF3?

@Bishamonten After should be fine now. If you load it before, you lose the ability to seclude unwed pregnant daughters but that's about it.

@Mog Kupo Hmm. I might just remove that trigger, then. It's a bit too restrictive, and there's already a check for whether the seduce scheme can be performed on the target and that has incest checks of it own.

Subtle Interest only works by being checked manually. As this mod adds accepts_incest_with_trigger as a criteria to woo_attendee_intent but doesn't check for Subtle Interest, it'll only allow seducing relatives incestually if the relative has the Incestuous trait.

@Mog Kupo I'm pretty sure Subtle Desire already does? As for Meeting in the Garden, I'll check... but I'm pretty sure I put something in show_if_unavailable so you get a tooltip when you hover over the greyed-out option.

I'll look into Unshackled Lust, but I doubt it. You have to remember that Court is not Seduce (in LMF). It's not a secret scheme and you don't get the normal seduction penalties when performing it. So I'm not overly inclined to make it easier for the scheme owner to pick the "let's elope!" option. I'll think about it.

On the topic of who can be targeted by the seduce intent, it would make sense for the Subtle Desire perk to bypass the accept incest check.
