UWE - Cannibal Hunting (Side Quest Included!)

In 1 collection by Dr. Igor Dolvich
Lore Friendly Role-Playing Experience v1.9.8.1 (2025)
496 items
Description
A small patch for UWE Cannibals to enable head hunting of the creatures lurking in the forests, similar to Cannibal Hunting is Now a Job

Credits to @peaceofcrack, for their excellent idea they shared with me on Discord!
Credits to Dr.Heintz Ketchup for their original "Cannibal Hunting" mod!

Place it below UWE to take affect.
Will more than likely require Importing Game to generate the new items.

Cannibal Heads can be sold anywhere in Kenshi without issues, as they're hated by absolutely everyone on the continent (probably even other Cannibals!). They can also stack to 5 per slot, which can give around ~2500 cats or so per stack of them. You can build a "Cannibal Head" storage box, only after you research "Camp Outfitting" (this unlocks a multitude of other storage boxes, so seemed fitting). Thank you @Anrhaa for the suggestion.

Spoilers for Side Quest below (UWE only, for now...):
There is also a hidden side quest. You can take the Cannibal Heads to the "Bounty Captain" in Bastion, who will provide small (+1) relations per head you show them, ultimately giving you a lot of reputation with the Cannibal Hunters. (There's a Dialogue limitation to this, so technically it's every time you show them an individual item, not your entire stack in your inventory. They also don't take these items away, so you can *technically* get their relationship to +100 with a single head lol).

If you take the "Grand Wizard Amulet" from the Cannibal Grand Wizard (leader of the Painted Tribes), you may be guided on a quest to find the Rightful Owner of this medallion. Be careful, the Amulet is a Death Item for the Grand Wizard, so your bounty reward will be cut in half!

This is compatible with UWE natively, and shouldn't be affected by any updates to UWE.

I will probably need to balance the cash rewards in the future after further testing. Please provide any feedback, if possible. I'm also not a very good artist, so I'm using a generic sack icon from the base game..

Haha interesting bug! Thank you bro, I will fix it soon. I haven't really had a chance to do much on my computer for a bit, but next time I'm free I'll update that dialogue. Thank you for the detailed fix as well 🙏

@Dr. Igor Dolvich. Bro there's a slight incompatibility with the last UWE update. UWE uses 'Cannibal Hunter takes bounty' dialogue at both Cannibal Hunters and Mongrel. So it makes the cannibal head and grand wizard amulet dialogue branches trigger with Mongrel Guards.

The way to fix is adding My Faction: Cannibal Hunters to both dialogue branches, so it no longer triggers with Mongrel.

@Noone

This was designed with UWE in mind. Reactive World more than likely will work as well, although I personally use Kaizo with my Roleplaying Collection . This mod works by creating an entirely new "Dialogue Chain" that injects into Daymond's dialogue package in UWE. If you have the particular item they're looking for, it will trigger a World State Event that is already a part of UWE's list of World States, as well as offer a huge cash / relationship reward.

How does it combo with Reactive World and Uwe??

There's also a probable override you did (you can look at the link I posted right below), so some major characters do move to a new location entirely. I don't necessarily know about Robun, but that may be the case. You'd have to look up that character specifically, if he's actually moved, to see where he may be next. Or, you may just randomly stumble upon him again lol

@Method Man

He may or may not be on patrol (or doing XYZ), particularly if you use the Roleplaying Collection. Typically these characters tend to randomly not be there until the next time you return. A good example is Beep who also randomly disappears until your next visit lol :beeped:

I didn't include Overrides with this mod by the way, as I wanted to make it very compatible with future versions of UWE. It adds a separate dialogue chain specifically for only this mod, so the original UWE overrides should work as intended.

@Loqui175

Sorry for the late reply bro. You can look up the World Overrides Table for UWE to find the correct configuration you want. Some overrides are inevitably going to happen, since it kinda helps push UWE's end game to actually happen instead of being more static. UWE's overrides are a little more aggressive (and there's a lot of possible combinations for nearly every town) than Vanilla's, so sometimes your choices may have unintended side effects.

I probably wouldn't look too deep into the Overrides table I linked, as it does contain a lot of spoilers. Just Ctrl+F and find the particular town you're trying to change. :crusader_helmet:
